Cheetahfur padded into the Medicine cat's den, pain searing through her side with every side. A long scar appeared there, from her old shoulder wound, to her flank. It was healing well before, so she didn't want to get it checked out, but when she jumped off a tall rock, she landed wrongly and it opened again, blood pouring out again. Now it was red with blood, with some dripping off of the ugly wound. "Forestbreak?" she stopped, a huge wave of pain crashing over her body again. She gasped for air, and then carried on. "Forestbreak? Clovepetal? I think I should get my wound checked out...."

Forestbreak sighed as Cheetahfur walked in, dripping blood. Oh, great. Why can't everyone in this Clan just be more careful for once? The she-cat stifled an eye-roll and padded toward the spotted warrior, eyes slitted in thought. "You think, huh? I think that's some good judgement on your part," she said, smirking. The medicine cat leaned over and grabbed a large bundle of cobwebs and a generous mouthful of goldenrod and dock leaves.
"Lie down on the side that's not injured, and I'll treat your wound. It looks like it was reopened. What happened?" she asked.

She flopped down gently on her other side and meowed, "Natural reaction from Diamondeyes, i guess. I jumped on her while she was running away to stop her from leaving, so she just spun around and scratched me. And yes, I did open it up again - Jumping off a rock to catch a rabbit, but landed wrongly and the rabbit kicked me in the shoulder." she gave a low chuckle. "I guess I should be glad he didn't break my shoulder, or something."

Forestbreak looked at the warrior quizzically. "To stop her from leaving? Hm. Well, let this be a lesson not to jump on others from now on," she said half-jokingly, setting down the herbs she'd just fetched and shaking the cobwebs off of her paw. "In all seriousness, though, you need to be more careful."
She took some dock in her mouth and began chewing it into a poultice. She'd gotten used to the taste after seasons of working as a medicine cat. It was normal for her, and she couldn't understand anymore how everyone had such a strong reaction to the herbs' tastes.

Cheetahfur shrugged and laid her head on her paws and she waited for the sting of the dock leaves. They didn't really come as a shock to her anymore; she had gotten hurt too many times to still be afraid of the sting. She looked around the medicine den as she waited for Forestbreak to finish, and her eyes came upon a weird-looking bunch of herbs that smelled delicous.

Forestbreak finished chewing the poultice and spat it into her paw. Carefully balancing on three feet as she held the paw up, the she-cat leaned forward and began dabbing the herbs down the wound, starting at Cheetahfur's shoulder and moving toward the end of the wound on her flank.
"All right," she mewed, once the poultice was applied. "That's done. Now, we just need to close up the wound." Forestbreak rubbed the remaining herb residue off of her paw by scraping it across the ground, and then swept the same paw through the cobwebs she'd fetched. The she-cat began placing the cobwebs generoudly over the wound while holding it closed.
