Pigeonwing entered the Warriors' Den. His shoulders were tense and his body ached. His kinked tail swished back and forth in discomfort. All night, the tom had been awake, keeping vigil as a warrior would normally do after their ceremony. From the lack of sleep and moving, it took a huge toll on the siamese feline the next day.
With a relieved sigh, he sunk into an unoccupied nest, eyes automatically shutting close. Pigeonwing relaxed his body, and was just falling asleep when another presence managed to rile him awake again. Well, half awake. "Wha-?"

Tabbypelt, who had accidentally stepped on Pigeonwing, gasped. "Oh... sorry. I didn't mean to step on you!"

Momentary pain flared in his lower back as force was unintentionally applied onto it. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment before opening them back up. At the sound of a feminine voice, Pigeonwing snapped himself from his pained phase and gave her a forgiving half-smile. The Siamese stretched out his limbs. He rose onto his paws, resting himself in a sitting position. Yellow eyes trained themselves on the tabby warrior.
Pigeon gave a lighthearted chuckle. "S'fine, love. I've endured much more than that, actually." The tom tipped his head to the side.

Tabbypelt just barely stepped back, just a bit. 'What?!' she thought. But what she said was a normal greeting, "How is your day going?"

The surprise on her face entertained the tom. He grinned lightly at her. "You okay there, love? Seems as though you've seen a ghost! Well, looking at me, I guess I do look like one." Pigeonwing erupted into a short laugh, the tenseness of his shoulders giving away.
"Hm? Oh, I'm exhausted, to be honest with you. Other than that, I'm okay. I can still stand so that's a plus."

Tabbypelt stepped back a little bit more. He was creeping her out. "Well, if you look like a ghost, I guess I do too. Did you not see me last night? I'm a new warrior too, y'know." she said. "Same here, I'm pretty tired as well."

Pigeon was confused for a while until the realization hit him. "Tabbypelt, is it? I guess I was already half-asleep! I might have forgotten. Sorry," he said sheepishly.

"Heh, heh. I was tired, but at least I didn't accidentally fall asleep!" she laughed. "I had to prod you once or twice, your eyes were closing."

"You did? Heh, must have actually forgotten last night. Thanks anyway," he purred.

"You're.. welcome." she replied. "Do you like being a warrior?" she asked, getting into her own nest.

Pigeonwing thought for a while. "So far, yeah. You?" he queried. With a yawn, the brown feline lay back down, eyes still on the fae.

"Eh, it's okay." she purred. "Not very exiting."

The tom shook his head. "Not yet exciting, no. But soon, maybe." He closed his eyes briefly. "Say, Tabbypelt, do you want to go out into territory? I need to stay awake," he mewed.
