* - - - i've been dead a thousand years, and only lived two or threeIt was dark out, the night moonlit and starry. It was peaceful for a winter night - the wind hardly blew, it wasn't snowing, and the den was kept warm by all the body heat in and around it. Still… Something was wrong.
Sleeping by the door, tucked just inside the entrance, was a white she-cat. She seemed restless in her sleep, eyelids closed but barely. Her beth was somewhat short, and she wouldn't stop stirring around in her sleep. It had been a while like this, tossing and turning in complete and utter terror, until all at once her eyes opened and a large gasp of air came through to her. her heart was pounding as hard as a steam engine, and even as she put her head back on her paws, her eyes were wide.
She was no stranger to nightmares. A traumatic past brought them on like nothing else would. Asy had lived through what no cat ever should, and what probably mostly no cat ever would. Waking up in a panic was something she was used to but in the still of night it seemed much different. It seemed that no one was awake, either, which made the situation all the more eerie. She let out a slight whimper, which made her seem like a small child more than she already did. Round eyes, being no bigger than a rather young apprentice, and delicate features all lent to this appearance even more.
Maybe that's all she was. A scared child masquerading as a warrior.
the kind of murder where no one dies, i don't suppose you'd understand - - - *

The silvery moon cast it's light over the camp below. Moonshine a lithe silver tabby cat was nestled in her favorite tree. She sighed as a winter breeze tugged at her thick fur. Suddenly a much larger gust blew against her and she shivered. 'Maybe I should go and sleep in my new nest before I have to visit Waspwing again.' She thought as she stretched, clinging to the bark with her claws, then she began the decent from the large oak.
As she neared the warriors den, a small squeak coming from the entrance. Moonshine's ears perked up, she crept forward, and she soon found herself looking at a pure white apprentice looking warrior. She was shivering, probably from the cold, but with a shriek like that... Moonshine couldn't say for sure. "Are you alright?" Moonshine asked as she walked out of the cold, and sat down in her own nest near her friends. She looked at the other warrior, her dark green eyes full of concern and a little curiosity.
