She raced out of the neighborhood. A knife in her hand, and backpack on her back. She was wearing ripped jeans, with blood on the ripped spots. Her arm was glazed with blood. But from someone else's. She ran, and ran, and never looked back. Then stopped.. And realized she was standing in a green place. A forest. She thougt. Her knifes tip was covered with blood, but she just used it to climb up a tree. Kinfe, climb, knife, climb. She finally reached a thick branch, and she a small tear silced down her face, then fell onto her dark brown hair. They Killed My Mom, My Dad, They Killed My Little Sister and Brother, They killed, My Love! They Killed Cody, My Love!. She teared, then cryed, then sobbed. She cried so much her face was soon flooded with tears. She sobbed herself to sleep, after makng a knick for her knife to be stabbed into.
Danielle woke with a start. She rubbed her hand against her head. Where am I? She thought. She looked around herself. A forest? She cleared her eyes with her hands, to realize they were sticky. What?! She saw a bloddy knife, at the end of the branch she was on. She saw her backpack, she opened it and saw it filled with weapons, and food. And maybe some pants or two. Then she pushed the backpack aside staring at her own body. Her arm was glazed with someone's blood, but not mine. She thought as a wave of relife washed over her. Her hands were sticked with blood, she had opened blisters. And it looked like as if herhands were mans hands. They were filthy, with dirt and blood. And wrinkled from her blisters. Her chest a small spot of blood sinking through her shirt. And her pants were ripped, with blood over them. Then she realzied that when she was rubbing her hands down her hair, she got blood in it. She limbly touched her face, scared to feel it. A large scar, covered her cheek. She almost fainted. But she took a deep breath and looked in her backpack. She found a small cracked mirror, and looked in it. She was still goreous, but her cheek has covered with battle scars.
Danny barely even knew what was happening, but she took her stuff, and jumped out of the tree. She limped around wondering if anyone was there as well. She squinted her eyes but saw no one. All she saw was a waterfall, and a cave by it. She limped/ran to the cave. And went inside.
Danny grabbed some sticks, and made a fire. She sat by it warming up. She took some cobwebs, and slid up her shirt slightly. She padded the cobwebs on, then slided her shirt back down. Breathing hard. What ever did she do to deserve this? She limped outside, and got a stick. She looked into the water, seeing some fish swimming around. She grabbed the stick and stabbed it into the water, Killing 2 fish in one shot. She cried as she stabbed the fish. She took the two fish out of the water, and she limped back into her cave.
She sat and ate the fish quickly, then she yawned. She sighed and found herself sleeping. As the wind blew out the fire, so did her awakness. As she dreamed of being in her old cozy home, where she would see Cody- which she new would never happen.

After the death of her family, and the disappearance of her younger sister, Danielle, April had been in despair. After a month she finally got over it, presuming her sister dead and the people that did it long gone. Flipping her black hair back, April continued along the blood-stained sidewalk, determined to finish her errands. "Errands" usually consisted of robbing a house or two of it's supplies, then battling a few dumbos for some of the more needed supplies. Backpack slung over her shoulder and two duffel bags in her hands,, April marched into a large yelllow house. It seemed untouched besides the bloody handprints on the occasional and rotting body on the balcony. Humming, she wandered into the kitchen, filling one large duffel bag with cans of soup, beans, anything that wouldn't expire anytime soon, April began to think of the old days she had. Done with clearing the pantry, the tall, independant 17 year old heaved the bag onto he shoulder and suntered up the twisting staircase.
Emerging from the house with a backpack full of clothes, a duffel bag of food, and another duffel bag of mixed items, April wandered back to the woods, ready to settle in a cave or house of some sort. Because of the huge neighborhood located in the middle of nowhere, this place was the perfect location for April to make camp in. All she had to do was find a house or cave of some sort..

Danielle woke with a start, thinking that she heard footsteps. "Anyone their?" She asked. She picked up her machete and went outside the cave. She rose the machete and looked around, her green eyes daring anyone to come near.
She thought she heard a familiar voice, but ignored it. Everyone she new was dead. Even her poor kitty and dogs. She sighed. She leaned beside the cave walls. As teh sunlight started to peer through. Her brown hair, green eyes, and sophisticated look of hers glowed in the sunlight. She started to humm, how her sister used to do to her. She felt like she was humming a melody with someone, but she couldn't be.

Humming. April stopped in her tracks. Whoever it was, they were humming the tune that she and Danielle had made up. Could it be? The sound was coming from a cave around the corner of the mountain April was by. As the humming grew louder, she was able to determine that it was the melody, and what part in the song it was at. Taking a deep breath, April turned the corner, stepped into the cave, and hummed the harmony, and together, the melody and the harmony became a beautiful, complete song.

Daniell stopped in her tracks. The Humming grew and grew, until she was standing right by it. She lifted her machete and almost hit the one by her, then her brown curls, threw back. As her eyes did. The machete fell out of her hands, as she feel to. "April!" She cried. She stodd back up and hugged her sister. She started to cry, but stopped. no matter what happens, she had to stay strong. "Oh I thought you were dead!" She finally sniffed. "Come, sit. Are you cold?" She asked. As she made a warm fire, she sat and circled her arms tight across her legs. Seeing her sister at last, made her better. After all her boyfriend, cody died. Her brother, Antonio died. There mom and dad died. And they thought eachother died! They were the only ones left in the family. And they were both, reunited.

April nodded, dropping her things, tears welling up in her eyes. "You look skinny," she frowned. Bending over to unzip a duffel bag. Pulling out two cans, she held it up for her sister to see, grinning. "Your favorite!" Opening the can and setting it in the flames so it would heat up, April and Danielle stared at each other and the food.

"Oh Delicious! I'm not fit for having raw fish as my diet anymore. She made a funny grossface, as she and her sister stared at the food. It seem like they were sharing memories.

Soon, the goopy (just gonna make up your favorite canned food here) chili was steaming hot, and April grabbed tongs from her random stuff bag. Gripping each can one at a time, she slowly transferred their dinner onto the sand floor of the cave, then handed Danielle a spork that she had found in a house a week before.

Daniella took the spork. She didn't feel cool with using it, but she sucked it up. She had a bite of the chili, and she almost died. Pretty soon, her share was gone. "I haven't had a decent meal in days!" She cried. "Dude, you cook almost as good as mom." She joked. "Well, when she was alive." She just shrugged her soldiers.
Daniella stood and walked out of the cave. She leaned against the outdoor cave wall, and listend to the calm, waterfall sound. "So beaufitul" She murmued, as her sister came to stand by her.

April grinned at Danielles comment about the chili. "There is plenty more where that came from!" she exclaimed, then almost cried at the thought of her mother, but didn't let it overtake her for too long. Finishing off her last bite, she tossed the cans into a plastic bag, planing on taking them somewhere so they could start a "trash heap" of some sort since there wasn't a garbage truck coming around the cave anytime soon. After adding a few more branches to the fire, April picked up the sporks and wandered outside the cave, planing on washing them in the pool that gathered at the bottom of the waterfall. The water then exited through a small hole in the bottom of the pool and continued lazily down the stream. "It is, isn't it," she replied to her sister. Dipping the spork into the icy water, April savioured the sun's hot rays on her back. An aqward silence soon came, and she began to get inpatient. "This is a great place; maybe we should settle down until all this ends," she commented, gestering in the direction of the community of corpses a quarter mile away.

"Ya." She sighed. She took one of her rubber bans on her arms, and tied up her brown hair into a ponytail. She grabbed her arrow and bows and smiled. "I'm gonna go hunt some deer." She said, as she walked out of the waterfall shelter, into the wildernes.
Danielle saw a small deer, she lifted the arrow, and fitted the bow inside it. She pulled back the bow, concentrating just on the fawn... and pow. She hit it and it died. She marched over to the fawn, smiling at how much food this would make, along with the raw fish, and cans of food. She actually enjoyed being free for once. Just right now, she felt like she could to anything. She hanged the bow on her back, then started back toward the cave. She dragged the deer with her, placing it by the back of the cave, where no water, or rain could get to it. She dropped the arrow. Then she sat on a log. She slid up her pants, to see that she was stabbed all over, and dried blood was all along her right leg. No wonder she had been limping, and it had gotten worst. She didn't want to say anything. But she asked her sister from some help.
"April..?" She called over her older sister. She felt safe with her sister, since she was the only family left. "Do you know any way you could help my-wounds? And, do you have any?" She asked, staring at her still blistered hands.

He watched them eating, his yellow eyes glittering with secrets. He had been for months, looking at them and observing them, gathering information. They didn't know, they didn't care, but to him, they were everything. He straightened out a flight feather, and ruffled his ebony plumage. They didn't notice, they never did. He was the shadow, and the shadow was him. He was Mystery, and Mystery was he. The giant black bird spread his wings and swooped over to the plastic bag. As April dumped out the trash, he swooped in and took some scraps in his beak. Of course he knew their names. He knew almost everything. Even in plain sight, they didn't notice him. He was a master of hiding in plain sight. If you ask him how, he'd say he was Mystery and Mystery was he. He flew back into a shelter behind an underbrush, blending into the nothingness, because he was Mystery and shadow, and they were his.

Danielle whipped her head around as April came back from dumping out the trash. "What was that?" She asked, her eyes full of alarm, and curisoity. Danny tried to get to her feet, but she landed hard with an ofh. "Ow." She muttered. She thought she saw something black moving in the shadows, and she called out "Hello, anyone there?" She grabbed her bown arrow. Still sitting down, she got one ready just in case. "Come out wherever you are.." She said, looking around, her green eyes blazed.

April froze in pure shock. Forgetting the sporks and leaving them on the sandy ground behind her, she hurried over the her sister, grabbing an arm and hauling Danielle to her feet. "What happened?" she questioned, taking out her katana and holding it at her side, her eyes tracing the trees with a cold hard stare. Suddenly, a flash of black, as though the black wasn't even there. There it is again! "Get in the cave now!" April ordered her sister. Glancing back, she noticed Danielle was giving her a confused, horrified look. "I have kill more people, more things, than you can imagine, Dan. Trust me, you don't want to see this,"

"No." Danny staggered to her feet, grabbing her machete, she limped by her sister. "I'm not letting you die." She growled. She raised her knife, and looked around. Ready to slaughter whatever tried to hurt her and her sister. Her green gaze flicked over the shadows, as she saw another flash of black. "Get out, of our territory." Danny yelled.
