DeathClan is different from the four main Clans, so it also has a special set of rules. Make sure that you read these and follow them. If you don't understand something, please don't hesitate to post a thread in the Help board! The staff team would be more than happy to clarify.
RULE ONE >> This is an exclusive group - if you're not listed on the roster, you may only post here with a staffer's permission. DeathClanners are obviously allowed to post in DeathClan's boards, but they are also free to wander into the other "Cats Outside The Clans" boards without having to ask.
RULE TWO >> You must follow all site rules. Being here, in an outcast group, does not make you immune to them. This is especially true with graphic violence, powerplaying, godmodding, dying, and being respectful out-of-character.
RULE THREE >> As of October 2015, there has been a change in DeathClan's hierarchy. Drought was killed during a coup. A sort of pseudo-anarchy has been established, where the leadership position is now a free-for-all. Anyone may gather allies and attempt to seize power. The cat in charge is little more than a figurehead, as they will not receive staff powers or be able to start major plots without permission, but they will still be recognized as DeathClan's monarch. Please make a post on the group's roster if your character has claimed leadership!
RULE FOUR >> There are no kittens here. Any cat with less than 100 posts is called a youngling and must be roleplayed as if they are apprentice-aged. During this time, they may seek out an older character to "mentor" them in the ways of DeathClan, but this is not a requirement. When the account reaches 100 posts, it is considered a full-fledged adult. Younglings may not take a mate until adulthood.
RULE FIVE >> Two-part Clan names are not allowed here; DeathClanners don't have name suffixes. Other than that, names are not as strict... nearly anything is allowed, but ask if you're not sure whether your character's name is acceptable. If someone in the roster already has a particular name, you may not use it. If you have read all of these rules, you'll need to put something special under "Other" on the roster: for male characters, mention their favorite color; for female characters, state their favorite type of tree.
RULE SIX >> Remember to roleplay realistically. DeathClan doesn't follow the warrior code, and it has no camp. The territory is mostly composed of evergreen forest with some swampy areas, so your character wouldn't encounter any blue whales or snow hares. Please ask a staffer for permission before having a predator such as a fox or badger in a thread. We mostly don't biteā¦ if your request is fair, we'll probably approve it.
Check back here every so often, as things may change slightly.
