Yawn.
Creekpaw rolled around in her nest, trying to calm herself down enough to sleep. Her mind wouldn't stop wondering, however, and she found it quite impossible to get anywhere closer to relieving her exhaustion. Part of her didn't mind, however, as all the sounds of the crickets outside of the den soothed her, and made her interested. It made her think of other things beyond clan life: things that she herself didn't quite know about. She loved to think about it anyways.
From far out, she heard a coyote howl. Then she heard an own hoot. It was a beautiful symphony that was somehow making her more awake than soothing her to sleep. She couldn't take it anymore and got up, climbing her saw up the small tree that was the apprentice's den, going to sit on a low branch. Just watching the stars made her feel safe and at home.
She didn't even notice the other cat.

Treepaw sat on the branch just above Creekpaw, and looked down as the she-cat hopped up. The apprentice was about to meow, but realized that Creekpaw didn't meow, so she must've not seen her. Treepaw studied the cat. It was a she-cat, like herself. She had shadowy black fur mixed in with fur white as snow. Instead of hopping down and introducing herself, she decided to prank the cat. This would probably be the reason she didn't have many friends. Treepaw blinked and looked around for props she could use in her little 'trick.' There wasn't any. The new-leaf leaves were too small, and tree bark wouldn't do anything. So the apprentice decided to take another approach. She let her fluffy tail fall, so it was about touching the back of Creekpaw. Being as silent as a rock, she brushed her tail against the other apprentice, hoping she would be surprised.
