Vulturetalon called out for Shimmerfur, close to another new warrior other than himself, all he knew were onward with their lives, which hope he'd see them soon.
''Hey, Shimmerfur!'' Vulturetalon meowed greetingly,'' Saw you at the ceremony of mine, how was vigil for you?'' He asked her happily, not really knowing her but he had to start somewhere didn't he?

Shimmerfur blinked her leafy green eyes against the blinding sun and turned as she heard someone call her name. The young warrior smiled politely and trotted over. "Vigil was great, thanks for asking. I was VERY tired though." She replied, a yawn escaping her just by the thought of staying up all night. "How are you today, VultureTALON?" The she-cat asked, remembering watching the tom's ceremony.

''Heh.. Vulturetalon. I wanted the name when I was young, now I finally have it as my own.'' He mewed as she spoke his name,''I'm doing fine. Vigil was cold a bit but all was fine. No funny business. Clan was secured and safe. Sorry to wake you but no one can have a full sleep, can they? Just kidding, but it does get mighty busy.. So our goals have been reached, quite nice, don't you think?''
He licked his fur coat a bit, waiting for a reply.
''We uh never met as apprentices..''
He stated disappointed a bit but hey, he's meeting new ones now.

Shimmerfur smiled slightly. "Vulturetalon.... no wonder you've wanted that name for awhile! It's really cool. And, even though your vigil was cold, at least it's over and the clan is safe." She stopped for a moment and brought up a wet paw, rubbing it over her face. After a few minutes she looked back at the other warrior. She giggled. "I guess we haven't met as apprentices, but I recognize your scent from when I slept in the apprentice den. " The she-cat's gaze traveled over to the familiar den. She was glad to be out of there.

''And you, your name Shimmerfur really is.. Beautiful..'' This time he actually never paid attention to her looks at all but he was now, the name and pelt color really suited her.
He looked from the inside out and straight across was the den entrance, far to the apprentices,''As an apprentice, it was tons of fun with my friends..'' He let out a cat-like smile remembering them. ''They all graduated to warriors than. I was the last of them and youngest but we sure had some adventures then. Hey, Shimmerfur, who was your mentor?'' He asked with curiousity.

Shimmerfur blushed a little (if cats even can) as Vulturetalon commented on her name. She shuffled her paws and looked at her fur, which she was named after. Shimmerfur continued to lick her paw as Vulturetalon talked. She listened to the part about his friends, and thought she caught a hint of sadness in his eye. Shimmerfur stopped licking her paw and flicked her tail. "My friends also turned into warriors before me. Then mostly started to ignore me... it seemed like my only friends were kits." The warrior let out a small chuckle at the last part. She continued, answering his question. "My mentor was Mistybreeze. What about you?" Shimmerfur asked back. She liked this cat, she could tell right away that they had a chance at becoming friends.

''Being ignored really is mean. A crummy feeling to have. One day it changes like night and day. I had the exact same feeling, but everyone gets that. It's not pleasant but it happens. Just got to find the ones who care for you.. Time changes but it can be reconnected again. That's where new friendships comes in.'' He replied, whisking his tail in some type of saddness. ''I do miss them however but.. Where are our friends now I wonder.. Why does things change to the point you feel loneliness?'' It was a question that I don't think shimmer or him had an answer too. He looked at Shimmerfur with a surprised look..
''Wait did you say Mistybreeze? I-i met her.. She was a friend and mentor to a she-cat named Shimmerstream..''
A friend.. Whom he never seen ever..
''Wow. Shimmer is sure a popular name.''

Shimmerfur sighed and looked sadly down at her paws. Her ears perked up, and she listened carefully to Vulturetalon's words. She stopped when he got to the question. Shimmerfur too, didn't know the answer."Not everything leads to lonliness. Just look at the elders. They've all lived long lives, and they have each other now." She mewed, her stare drifting to where the old cats slept. "Besides, we're young warriors, with our whole lives ahead of us!" The specked cat added, trying to lighten up the mood. "It's a perfect time for new friends." She lightly jabbed Vulturetalon in the side playfully. The silver warrior nodded as the tom said 'Mistybreeze'. She chuckled as he finished. "Yeah, I guess shimmer is popular. I should talk to the queens about that." Shimmerfur meowed, then stretched, right when her stomach started to rumble. "You hungry?"

Adding some sarcasm in it. ''We are far away from getting there though, yes? No, your right, were young, we can't let little things make our lives miserable!'' Vulturetalon brightened up, but glad she listened to him. It was nice chatting with another. ''Besides, lonliness in this clan doesn't last forever, too much to see, too much to do, sad so many yet to meet.'' He purred, feeling happier now.
As she mentioned friendship, well repeated his own words, he smiled.
''Mistybreeze, we should meet with her again. Oh wait.. She might pop in anyways. And you speak of the queens, the name shimmer isn't a bad thing, just the name itself is admirable and unique to have.''
He looked to Shimmerfur happily and nodded to her question,''hungry? Yes! Famished.''

Shimmerfur purred and led the way to the fresh-kill pile. She grasped a nice hare in her jaws and turned, motioning with her tail for Vulturetalon to choose a place to settle.

He never even ate today! He just realized Vulturetalon's stomach was aching in hungry.
''Hey, it's a good thing you mentioned food, or else I'd would of forgot to eat today anyway.''
Vulture mewed in a little laugh as he followed her to the pile, watching her grab something. He shook his fur and lead the way to a grassy spot to sit. The day was beautiful to stay outside, wasting it indoors would be a drag.

Shimmerfur followed, her tail almost touching the ground. She set the prey down and purred. "Well we can't have that, now can we? I hoped hare's okay. I figured you'd like it, since almost every cat in FireClan does." The she-cat settled down next to the prey and waited for Vulturetalon to do the same. "Hey, I wonder why we've never talked before, considering we're both about the same age." Shimmerfur mewed. She dipped her head down, taking a small bite of the prey.

He said with a small smile, sitting next with her on the patchy area. He never shared with another either. Apprentices and him had their own prey, though they ate together. He noticed she was waiting on him.Vulture dipped his head to take a small bite of it. Chewing it silently, mouth closed of course. What she asked next, he swallowed than and spoke,''I'm the reason why we never met.. In training I was determined for work. To be the best, than again who doesn't?'' He purred,''Just training took most of my time from being in the den after, not to mention interaction with new cats. I just stuck with the old friends I knew. But better late than never.''

Shimmerfur nodded. "Mouse is good, too. But I think it's a bit too sweet." She meowed, and closed her eyes as Vulturetalon continued to talk. Her ears perked as she listened to some birds chirping overhead. They were probably flying towards TreeClan, to make a nest. Shimmerfur smiled as he mentioned training. "Yeah. I was always worried I was going to fail, and be stuck as Shimmerpaw forever. I'm glad I passed and it's over, though." She opened her eyes and purred. "Yes, better late than never." The she-cat stopped for a moment and looked at her paws, not knowing what to say. The young warrior bent her head and took a small bite.
