Galaxy was always a little afraid of Drought, but he revered him as leader. Soon enough, curiosity got the better of him. He paced in front of Drought's den, his tail lashing. He had flattened himself so not to be seen as threatened, in case Drought saw it the wrong way. He didn't think he was capable of that, but with leaders, you never know.

Drought had just finished his meal, a nice fat squirrel, which he had caught earlier and then dragged back to his den among the roots of his tree. Life was pretty good - he held power over the entire Clan, and everything seemed to be going in his favor.
The spotted cat's nose twitched when fresh cat-scent drifted down into the earthy den. Getting to his paws, the leader padded out into the sunlight and immediately caught sight of an unfamiliar youngling.
"A visitor, huh? Didn't think I'd be seeing any of those today. Got a name, youngling?"

Galaxy's head whipped around at the sound of the deep voice. He had been looking the other direction when his leader came out. Galaxy found himself face-to-face with a black-and-white American Shorthair, his pelt covered in scars form all those years of fighting. It made him feel weak. "I-i-i" He stuttered, then bit himself on the lip hard. Stop it. he scolded himself. He straightened. "I'm Galaxy"

His whiskers twitched in faint amusement as the youngling stammered. You really do get treated differently when you're a leader. This cat must think that I have the power to summon Darkpool, by the looks of it.
"Galaxy... You're new here. I hope you're not from the Clans," Drought grunted. "Or a former kittypet, for that matter." Some of the older DeathClanners probably had pasts like that, but it certainly didn't cause the spotted feline to think any better of them.
"I assume that you already know who I am. So, why are you here?"

For no apparent reason, something told the tabby that today would be the day that she would finally introduce herself to Drought, hardly knowing the cat, other than that he carried the position of leader and had a successful skirmish against Fireclan before. As she approached the tree, Dove blinked, trying to ignore the fact that she practically announced her doubt of the splotched tom successfully bringing back the grand title of Deathclan into the clans, but then it could also be due to her great faith in one of the prior leaders.
If she was aware that there would have been another visitor, she would have left, but it was too late. "Drrrou-" she called dropping a recently caught shrew seeing Galaxy. Hm? What was going on here anyways? All she knew was that she was interrupting something, important most likely. "Umm. I'll get back to you later Drought." she mewed, giving a cautious look to Galaxy, slowly turning back to where she originally came from.

(okay that was strange) Galaxy glared at Dove, his mind swirling in confusion. What was that for? To come talk to a leader only to back away into the vast forest. His attention flashed back to Drought. "No particular reason." he said quickly. "I just wanted to meet you." He tightened his tail around his paws, going over what he said over and over again. Had he said the right thing? Rumors were floating around about what happened if you denied him. It said that a cat named Strike once opposed him and was escorted to the outskirts of the territory and was beaten up by one of Drought's followers. Chances are that he'll do the same for Galaxy.

Before the young tom could respond, another peasant appeared. The she-cat began to speak, but promptly stopped and turned around.
It was hardly as if Drought was meeting with Badger or another cat of importance to discuss battle plans, so he twitched his tail-tip and called Dove back. "No need to leave; come and join us," the spotted feline meowed after her. Blinking, he turned his attention back to Galaxy. He was a young one, and certainly seemed nervous, but Drought had already taken a bit of a liking to him. Just because he led DeathClan didn't mean that he was an emotionless dictator.
"Many cats seem to want to meet me," he mused with a small nod. "Might as well make yourself comfortable. Did you have anything in particular that you wanted to ask me?" He didn't have anything better to do than to start a small Q&A session, as unconventional as it might be.

She froze as she was called back to enter the presence of both toms. No. She was not afraid, but rather unsure of what was going on. She did not want to be forced to lay a paw on Galaxy, and she knew that a leader had the power to request one to kill one another as a practice of initiating one into the clan. Would Drought summon her to do that? She hardly knew the white and black tom to judge him, but as every cat knew, the leader was the one who controlled the lower ranks.
The tabby laid down, showing the two that she was not afraid of them, easily exposing herself, but she would be ready if anything were to come up. "Yes, I wanted to know what happened to Strike after Badger took her." she mewed. "If she is okay that is."

Galaxy turned at Dove's question, his blue eyes widening in surprise. Was that a challenge? Dove seemed comfortable and relaxed, although you can't quite be sure what's in a Deathclan cat's mind. The change in mood was very abrupt, from shying away to asking a risky question openly. He cocked his head and looked at Drought, waiting for his reaction.

He hadn't exactly expected such a bold question, but then again, Dove hadn't been fully in support of him taking over DeathClan in the first place. She probably had an interest in starting an alliance with Strike, if she hadn't already.
Chuckling slightly, the black-and-white feline responded. "Strike? I expect that Badger punished her properly, since I haven't seen her since. Honestly, I should just exile that idiotic cat and be done with it." His gaze hardened slightly as he watched Dove, silently warning her not to try to aid Strike.

Dove lifted her head, eyes dully looking at Galaxy and Drought, twitching her ear. She licked her muzzle when the "oh so fearless" leader chuckled, and had a feeling that the question was spontaneous, but also alarming. She listened as he mentioned that the rebellious she-cat should have been exiled and narrowed her eyes though staring at nothing in particular.
"An exile won't really solve anything though." she mewed. "Once there's a leader, there's supporters, but there's also fighters."

Galaxy found himself nodding in agreement, and stopped himself before Drought noticed. Dove was already up to her knees in trouble, and he didn't want to get pulled down with her. Feeling that it was not his argument, Galaxy backed up to the edges. It might help others to break the tension, but some of it might get directed to you, and he didn't want that. (I just made a new expression! )

Shaking his head, Drought curled his lip a bit. "That may be the way previous leaders have allowed things to be, but no longer." He flexed his claws as he continued to speak. "DeathClan will take action to re-assert its dominance, and I shall take action to root out any traitors amongst us. If you disagree with me, why stay? You're here to fight for a cause, not just because you thought this would be a nice place to make a den."

She frowned noticing that Galaxy was trying to avoid the situation. You're an elite. You should at least do something. Speak up or challenge me already. But then again, she might have done the same. Try to stay out of this situation. Maybe it was better for him to be quiet.
Dove stared at the claws of her leader and hopped a bit closer to him, staying a safe distance from those murderous possessions. She did not want to come for a battle, but rather to know her leader more. The words seemed to be addressing her. "I don't disagree with you Drought." she simply said and then looked back at Galaxy, and back to her leader. "I just don't understand you or your ways yet, but I am not a traitor in any way."
