Shimmerfur
After her vigil Shadyfoot had been exhausted as she went straight to the Warriors Den. But now she was wide awake as she stretched her limbs. She looked around the den, she had never been in here before. The bodies of sleeping cats were everywhere, but she spotted one in particular that had a familiar shimmer to it. Not thinking about how rude it would be to wake one up, she stepped around the heap of bodies to get to her. "Shimmerfur." she meowed quietly as she prodded at her friends side. "Shimmerfur, you there?"

Shimmerfur was in the middle of a fox chase, driving it out just by herself. The wind whipped her sides as she approached the foul-smelling orange and white fur. Snarling, the she-cat leaped up and was just about to land on the fox- Shimmerfur's ears flattened as she realized she was dreaming. Who woke her up? She put a paw over her face. "Stop..." She mumbled drowsily, until the cat said her name. What would someone want at this hour? The warrior blinked open her ivy green eyes and focused on the figure. A familiar scent drifted off of their pelt.... Shadyfoot! Shimmerfur scrambled up quickly and purred at the sight of her friend. "Hey! Congratulations." The she-cat yawned tiredly. Shadyfoot must have came back from vigil. "Need help making a nest?"

Realization flooded through Shadyfoot, she was just too excited to see that her friend was actually sleeping. She felt stupid and sorry. "Oh, umm... thanks!" She was slightly surprised that the Shimmerfur got up so quickly. Shadyfoot shrugged,"Yeah, I guess. I just plopped onto that one over there. I don't know how I slept on that." Flicking with her tail at the pile of moss splayed out on the floor of the den. "Sorry I woke you up. Seeing familiar faces in a strange den ya know." She flicked her tail apologetically.

Shimmerfur purred. "It's fine. I'm glad you woke me up." She meowed, and looked at the bodies around her. She didn't want to risk waking anyone up. "Let's continue this outside." She whispered, and cautiously padded out of the den. When the warrior emerged, Shimmerfur turned back to the entrance, waiting for Shadyfoot. The she-cat would have had the same response, if she saw one of her friends in an unfamiliar place.

Shadyfoot quickly nodded, following Shimmerfur out of the den past the sleeping bodies of cats. "So, have you gotten an apprentice yet?" she asked curiously as she tried to spark up a conversation.

Shimmerfur shook her head. "I couldn't even imagine having one! I'm way too new of a warrior. I assume Darkstar would choose the older members of the clan to mentor the kits," the shimmery-furred cat meowed, and sat back on her haunches. She listened as a cricket chirped nearby. "So, how was vigil?"

"Oh, ya....right." Shadyfoot nodded in agreement. "The vigil? It was okay I guess. It was pretty tiring though. Who would've thought that sitting could be tiring!" she replied.

Shimmerfur nodded. "Same with me. It was so cold!" She shivered. "So, um, have you been doing anything recently?" She asked, and plucked the ground with her paws. The stars sparked overhead and the night was completely silent, aside from crickets and maybe a frog or two.

"Nothing much, since I just kinda got here." Shadyfoot shrugged.
