Saturn padded along the river bank as she felt a cool breeze ruffle her pelt. She stopped and she watched the water slowly ruffle back and forth in the lazy tide. She licked her paw and she swiped it over her ear quickly as she stood up and padded slowly yet gracefully towards the water. She lowered her body towards the floor as she lapped up the cool water. She shot up as she heard a rustle coming from behind her. "Who GOSE there." She meowed quickly

"Well," Bell piped up, stepping forward, "I go here. Though, I suppose if you want I can go over there, instead." the tom offered with a quick purr. While he hadn't intentionally followed the she-cat, there was no reason for him to be telling her that. In fact, if she believed quite the opposite it would be alright with him.
"So, where do you go?" he wondered aloud, his amber eyes glittering with amusement.

Saturn giggled a bit to his answer. "No it's fine you can stay." She meowed as she padded froward her bright green eyes on him. She sat down as she flicked her tail over her paws neatly. "Where did I go, well I went to the river to drink some water." She meowed a little confused "Well we haven't properly meet, I'm Saturn and you are?"

"Saturn?" Bell repeated, tipping his head to the side. A smile crossed his face as a brief thought filtered through, though he kept it to himself. "Lovely." She had seemed confused, though entertained by his speech. Well, no matter. It was part of the fun, and it meant that he had found something of use here. "My name is Bell. It's a pleasure, Saturn," the ginger tabby purred smoothly, dipping his head in greeting.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you to Bell." She meowed sweetly as she dipped her head in greeting. She gave him a slight smile as she looked around. "So is there anything in particular you like to do a round here?"

"I like a good many things," he intoned. Though none he was willing to diverge here. "But the river is for fishing and swimming. It is an instrument for me to provide worth to the one I follow. That is what I like." He was usually a fan of anything to do with water, including rain and storms. "What brings you here?"

"Oh that's pretty interesting. Um let's see what brings me around here I just like to walk by the river and hear the rushing water pass by. I to enjoy the water, especially Storms." She meowed as her eyes shinned at the thought of storms. "Seems like we have something in common."

"Seems like we do," Bell repeated autonomously, tipping his head to the side. "I need to fish now, my friend. Would you join me, or are you going off?" Turning, Bell trod over to the bank. It wasn't far, he'd hear her answer no matter where he was anyway. Amber eyes wide, he looked down to the river.

Saturn thought for a second or two as he trotted off. It won't hurt to go. "Sure I would love to join you if you don't mind me tagging along." She meowed as she quickly padded towards the rivers bank. She looked at her reflection in the water for a few seconds as she sat down keeping her shadow away from the water. She swiped her tail over her paws neatly as she looked down at the sluggish current seeing the shadowy shapes of the fish as the swam around. "Great." She whispered

Curling his back, Bell leaned away from the water surface. He didn't want his shadow to fall into the river and scare away his quarry. With the sun unblocked, the fish's scales were flashing silver out of the water. Every now and then a tail flicked the surface, or came close. On one such occasion Bell struck his paw out, scooping the fish with an precisely coordinated upward flick. It arched out of the water, falling onto his head and flopping away onto the bank.
"Ooof," Bell grunted, shaking water droplets off his head. Turning, he used his claws to slice into the gills of the fish, slowly tearing them down to end its life. "What an absolutely pain," he sighed, flicking a damp ear before smiling ruefully at Saturn. He had no doubt his 'blunder' would cause a reaction.

Saturn narrowed her eyes as she watched the fish tenthly. She raised her paws a bit of the ground as she stopped. She turned her head to the side as she watched Bell. She watched him tear the gills of the fish as the fish instantly died. Her bright green eyes widened as let out a little yelp. "Well Bell I got to hand it to you, you have technic." She meowed as her whiskers twitched. She felt a little nervous but she pushed the thought away as she stuck her paw Into the water quickly and her claws hooked into the fish. She pulled it out and she flung it towards the earths surface as she bite into it's neck killing it quickly. She raised her head as she felt the tangy taste of blood fill mouth.

Raising his head from the fish, Bell watched Saturn fish silently. While her movement were cruder, she got the job done. Most would be satisfied with that, but not Bell. He was a perfectionist, focused soley on perfect efficiency. It made him uncaring about the little things, like emotion. "Technique?" he laughed. "More than you maybe. I just don't like the taste of blood in my mouth, it's unsanitary." Her small yelp had disappointed him, but not enough to drive him away. "Tell me Saturn, are you a member of Deathclan?" he asked with feigned curiosity, taking a seat beside his catch. The scent was already strong, so there was no real reason behind his question other than a desire to converse.

Saturn picked up her catch as she padded away from the water. She sat down as she faced Bell. She dropped her fish besides her as she shook the droplets of water off her paws. "Yes. Yes I'm a new member of DeathClan." She meowed with a flick of her tail. "Now are you part of DeathClan?" She meowed sarcastically

Chuckling, Bell turned as Saturn moved away. It was nice to have his suspicions confirmed, though inevitably unhelpful. With a sigh, Bell stooped an began nosing at his fish. The blood had grown water and was shining on the translucent scales in an annoyingly ugly way. "How did you guess?" he joked wryly in response to the she-cat's obvious sarcasm. Whether it was the blunt obviousness of the question or just a change in attitude, the sarcasm in her voice had not gone unnoticed. In fact, it had surprised him. He hadn't expected such amusement from such a pointless meeting. "Yes, I am a part of Deathclan. Not a big enough part for my liking, not yet." It would happen though, he was too focused on his goal to let anything like rank stop him. "What do you want out of life?"

Saturn giggled a bit as she licked her paw. Her ears twitched as she listened to Bell. "Ah, well I see you want to be a big part in DeathClan. That's good." She meowed a little distracted as she licked her other paw. "Me what do I want in life. Well let's see I would like to maybe be a big part in DeathClan too, but you know that might be tricky." She meowed as she fully paid attention to Bell. Saturn in a way wanted to become an Elite but in the other paw she didn't. It may be difficult and most cats thought a girl couldn't get the job done as well as a male. Especially when it came to fighting.
