The crisp air surrounded her like a blanket, blowing the long, soft fur of her pelt into an unruly state. She didn't mind it though, it calmed her and cleared her senses. The sun had yet to rise and give warmth to the day, though this one was an early riser. Her snowy paws danced upon the golden grass as she exited the abandoned barn where her people thrived.
She quite enjoyed hunting, and her small frame would not allow her to guard for her tribe, nor did she want to. So instead, when she joined, she was appointed as a hunter, which was just fine and dandy in her mind. She held her long, plumy tail low to the ground, but her chin high as she studied the grove of trees the was growing larger before her.
The prey, she knew, was abundant around here and she would have no problem catching something to bring back. But that wasn't necessarily why she was here. She needed time alone, time to think. The barn had grown stuffy with the arrangements, and it seemed new felines were flooding through, bringing plenty of new and… interesting smells with them.
The trees gave off a pleasant scent, which flooded her nostrils the moment she reached them. Not only that, but the scent of prey as well. Her mouth watered. Perhaps she'd grab some prey for herself on the way. No one would know.
The sound of twigs cracking under paw behind her caught her attention. Her ears perked, but nothing else about her body movement changed, for she thought they would leave. They did not. She paused, orange orbs fixated on the trees before her, not on the feline behind her. She flicked her tail and lifted her muzzle slightly, attempting to detect the scent and possibly recognize the character, though that was nearly impossible for she didn't know each individual's scents.
So instead, the female turned, eyes studying the cat before her. " Yes? Is there something you'd like? " she inquired, giving her whiskers a twitch.
notes: this thread is open to one only. i'd prefer Ragabash posted for we had a thread planned.

Her head tilted and ears stiff as she listened to the tomcat's response. A small, mischievous smile crossed her pale muzzle. " Ah, the trees. They are quite interesting, in fact. What, with their never-changing green foliage and their pleasant bark. Though I wouldn't try licking it, mind you. Might get a few splinters. " she replied, taking a seat in front of her leader. She licked one snowy paw and drew it over her ear, studying the small tom.
Her ears twitched as he spoke her name, as one always seemed to know when someone spoke their name, even when it was whispered in the quietest of ways. She nodded, tail swishing in the dry pine needles behind her rump, creating a dry, cracking sound.
" I am, in fact, called Petræ, though do not question me on why. I have pondered the fact many a times before. It might, perhaps, be more helpful if you questioned my mother. " she meowed, her voice seeming thoughtful. Her mother was not a topic she'd like to dwell on for long, for some might tease her, or, in this case, throw her out of her settlement. It would make sense that they would if her mother was a Clan cat, would it not?
" And you are called Ragabash, hm? What a dreadful name. I fear your mother may have been high on catnip when you were brought into this horrid world. " she said, stilling her tail, a small grin on her muzzle. Her mind wandered to prey, for she was growing quite hungry. Her attention was snapped back to the leader once more, she wanted to hear what other interesting comments he had.
notes: and yes, i do have permission to have her mother be a clan cat. just keep in mind that no one knows, and no one will know unless she is close and fully trusts the person. :3 tags: Ragabash
