Galaxy padded into the main clearing, his paws treading lightly across the dry ground. After a hot summer day, he was for it to finally be nighttime.
The clearing seemed very empty, a lonely place in black and white, silent and, in a way, mysterious. He looked at the ground, covered in different shades of gray, thinking of the recent meeting. He saw it, all right. He just didn't show himself. A lone owl hooted behind him, the sound ringing in his ears. The rock where Drought always stood on jutted out from the ground, and for the first time, he noticed how many scratches and dents it bore, a reminder of how many generations of leaders it once held on its surface. Drought. The name now brought hatred to his mind, but he learned to keep it down. As bad as the leader was, Galaxy liked Deathclan very much, and didn't want to leave. Venus...
His mind flashed back to the meeting earlier today, when Drought announced to everybody that Galaxy was resigning and Holly had taken his place. What angered him was that everyone seemed to be agreeing, out of fear or that they really hated him. He didn't resent the young tom though. Holly was a pretty nice cat, with a great potential. It could have gone worse. But he still hated to fact that he was no longer Elite.
Galaxy walked out of the darkness of the trees, padding up to the clearing, once packed with cats. The moonlight struck his fur, lighting up his pelt. The fur on him shimmered every time he moved, but Galaxy wasn't interested in looks. He settled down at the center of the clearing, curling his silvery tail around his paws. He dipped his head down for a moment, lost in thought.

(Mind if I pop in?)
Venus padded away as she left the clearing a few moments ago which was now deserted. She padded slowly feeling a little down not seeing Galaxy their as a matter of fact she hasn't seen him in a long time. She frowned as she stopped she picked up another scent that seemed familiar. She thought for a second but she continued to walk away. She turned around as she let out a sigh. All well it won't hurt to find out who it is. Maybe it's Griffin or possibly Rebellion. She slowly walked back towards the clearing as she stopped tasting the air. Who ever it is their close by. She padded out of the trees that were covered in shade making them look dark and gloomy blocking out the sunshine.
She padded forward studying the ground. When she looked up she froze. It was Galaxy. She stopped and padded a little closer but that's all she went. She sat down as she wrapped her tail around her paws a little nervous of how he would react. She looked back from were she came from as if she regretted coming here in the first place. "He.... Hello." She meowed quietly almost a whisper

Galaxy was so lost in his thoughts it took him a while to register that there was in fact a cat behind him. He jumped a little bit when it spoke, a low quiet tone, almost a whisper. Galaxy turned his head and saw Venus sitting behind him, her fur framed by an aura of moonlight. It looked like she was a spirit of Starclan those clanners always talk about.
Slowly, Galaxy stood up. "Hello, I didn't see you there." he meowed, his voice drawn out and fatigued, He hadn't slept well tonight, probably because of the sick squirrel he ate, but Galaxy suspected there was something else. He tried to perk up a little. "How are you doing? I haven't seen you in a pretty long time."

Venus stared at him with gentle eyes that gave a little hint of amusement as it took him a while to relise she was behind him. But it vanished away quickly when he stood up and spoke to her. Her eyes searched his for any sign of anger our tiredness. He looked like he hadn't slept in moons. "I'm doing fine." She paused for a moment as she let out a sigh. "I also haven't seen you in a long time. Now how are you doing?" She asked as she keeped her seat studying him.

Galaxy relaxed a bit and settled down. It was just like the old days now, when he would just talk with other cats and forget his pains. He made himself comfortable, curling his tail over his paws. "Nothing of importance, actually." he meowed, "You, know basic things. Hunting, sleeping, patrolling, stuff like that." The soft light of the moon washed over him, bathing him in a soft light that rivaled the sun's power.

Venus stood up and padded towards him slowly as she sat down next to him. "Oh I see then so are you better?" She meowed as she looked at him. "Ok well, I meet as if your better after what had happened a few moons ago. Cause you look like you haven't slept in days." She meowed as she looked up at the moon that shined over them.

Galaxy looked at Venus, his eyes glinting, "No, only tonight." he meowed, with a hint of amusement. "It's okay Venus, I'm fine." He knew Venus was worried about him, and he didn't want her to be.
(I'm so bad at this kind of roleplaying. XD)

"Ok then that's good to know." She meowed feeling a little better knowing he was doing alright. "So what brings you back here to this clearing... If it's cause the meeting you missed it an I'm glad you did cause they announced the new elite." She meowed quickly and then she paused. "I'm sorry I should have helped you out but I just stood there watching." She meowed as a flash of sadness flood here making her feel glum again.
(It's all good I'm not good at this stuff myself XD)

Galaxy shook his head. "It's okay." he meowed closing his eyes."I know already. It isn't your fault, Venus. Drought has the kind of influence sometimes, you feel you can't just deny him." He opened his eyes and looked back at Venus. He appreciated her for being here, and he was feeling better with her. Galaxy just didn't have the boldness to tell her that.
(And I don't have the boldness to write about it either XD)

Venus looked down at her paws and then back at Galaxy. "Ok then , well enofe with what happened between Drought and us lets just leave that alone for right now. Ok?" She meowed as she tried to get what happened out of her mind. "How about we got for a walk. Our do you have any suggestions in what to do?" She asked curiously as she gave him a slight smile.

"Sure." Galaxy stood up, shaking his pelt. The moon was high up in the sky, proclaiming that it was midnight. It felt good to walk with someone again. "So, lead the way, I'll follow you."

"Alright then." She meowed as she stood up licking her pelt a few times before she padded towards the trees. When she reached the trees she glanced behind her as she watched Galaxy follow. She felt a cool breeze tug at her pelt causing her to shiver a bit. She stooped as her eyes narrowed noticing a plump rabbit up ahead. "So when's the last time you had rabbit?" She asked with a giggle glancing over to Galaxy

(Sorry! I forgot about this..)
Galaxy leapt across the vegetation, his whiskers billowing in the wind. "Shhh" He whispered when he was near her, "Don't alarm it. And to answer your question, yesterday. I just didn't carry it all around boasting about it." The gray tom smiled a little, then dropped into a crouch, tiptoeing around the rabbit until he was opposite of Venus. Galaxy waited for a few seconds to get ready, then dived out, expertly lashing the rabbit's rump to hopefully drive it to Venus. Rabbits were too hard to chase, so when Galaxy hunted alone, he drove it into a tree. A cat was better, since they could run and intercept the prey if it veered off track.

Venus fell silent as she watched Galaxy pad quietly away in till he was opposite of her. He then lashed out at the rabbits rump causing the rabbit to dash straight towards her. She lashed out forward causing the rabbit to change direction. She ran after it quickly as she leaped forward pouncing onto the helpless creature. She bit down onto it's neck in till it stopped moving killing it swiftly. She picked it up as she carried it back settling it down on the floor carefully. She glanced around in search for Galaxy.
