Horizonpaw stepped slowly into the apprentices den. The tom kept his head low and looked around slowly for someone to talk to someone new. All his friends had moved on and became warriors and he was just .. there. Willowfrost was to busy with Patchstorm to notice her best friend and lord only knows where Quillfoot would go now that he was a warrior and Blackkit had been missing for moons now. As had the rest of the group. They slowly were breaking up. He sighed and shook his head as he blinked his dusty blue almost gray eyes and crawled over to his nest sitting down in it, he didn't want to sleep right now, just to relax.

The young tom apprentice perked his ears had he had heard footsteps slowly entering the apprentices den. Twitching his whiskers and yawning at his short cat nap, he looked up
to see a young Tom-apprentice sigh and head to what most likely what was his nest. Happy there was another guy around, he stood up and padded over to the other Tom, giving him a slight nod as a greeting.
"Hello there." He smiled. Hoping he could friend this cat.

The male tom lifted his head and grinned "Why hello there~" he said and narrowed his eyes slightly putting on a straight face trying to act like his no emotion creeper guy Patchstorm. "I'm Horizonpaw, and you are?" he questioned and then smiled. He couldn't keep the straight look of the patched tom. It just wasn't him. Horizonpaw was fun and always wanting to explore, as well as easily horrified unlike Patchstorm that had no emotion.

Reedpaw laughed as the tom changed his
expressions. Then, realizing how rude he had been
not to mention his name to the other tom, he
felt guilty.
"I'm Reedpaw. Nice to meet you Horizonpaw. And, sorry for
not introducing myself before." He added.
Observing that Horizonpaw looked a little younger
than him, he couldn't help but asking. "Are you new
to the apprentice thing? How is it? Do you like being one?"

"Don't be sorry its perfectly fine!" he said and blinked as he shrugged his shoulders and the his head "Sad to say I'm not a new apprentice, I'm just naturally a runt. However my mentor Patchstorm has had yet to train me. So I can't say I like being a apprentice, specially when all my friends are warriors now expect for Blackkit. Even my best friend Willowfrost moved on without me. I miss her." he frowned. "But no matter ill catch up!" he smiled.

"You sure?" He paused, blinked, then continued "Alright then."
"Really? I'd thought you had started your training. If you want I can show
you some stuff too. Just a little start until you start your actual
training. If you want." Then he gave an understanding nod.
"Most of our little gang became warriors. But I'm catching up too. I'm
almost one with them! And before you know it, you'll be one too."
He purred. Happy to be easily getting along with Horizonpaw.

He grinned and nodded "No sweat, I normally don't share my name anyway until I feel comfortable with the person. Trust issues, but I need to be more trusting in my clan, that's why I told you!" he said and then shook his head looking down at the ground "I start tomorrow.. Patchstorm is getting me up at the butt crack of first light and keeping me until a little past twilight hits." he explained and then looked up and smiled.
"I would love to be trained by you a bit if you don't mind! I want to try and impress Patchstorm, hes not the easiest piece of prey to catch if you know what I mean" he said and then blinked "Yes, I can't wait to be in the same den as Willowfrost and them again. I sure miss em their all busy now with their warriorness and love life. I'm just kind of here, cause love isn't my best subject im awkward with girls and well im not a warrior yet so." he grinned a sheepish grin and chuckled.
"You know Reedpaw .. you seem pretty cool." he purred.

The Tom smiled. Happy to know that Horizon was trusting him.
Nodding happily as Horizonpaw agreed that Reed could show him a thing or two
about training. "Happy to help." He meowed.
"Thanks." Reedpaw purred.
"You don't seem too bad yourself."

A small smile crept upon the young apprentices face and he looked up at him "You know Reedpaw, I think we could make great friends" said the yellow tom and flicked his tail "So, tell me. Who is your trainer? Do you like training with them?" he asked tilting his head out of pure curiosity. Hey, ever hear the saying curiosity kills the cat? Yep! That would probably be Horizonpaws death!

"Well, my mentor is Shineheart. She's
a great mentor. Tons of fun, like a big sister.
Once you start, it'll be fun."

The golden tom lifted his head. "Shineheart? I can't say I've meant her .. but I'll take your word for her!" he smiled and then tilted his head "Well Reedpaw. The day is still young just like you and I, wanna try some moves out in the camp?" he asked tilting his head to the side as he crouched down grinning "I don't want to sit around all day, I did that when I was a kit!" he chuckled.

Reedpaw laughed his eyes shining. This cat was
easy to get along with. A good thing.
"Sure." He agreed. "How about the clearing, it
doesn't seem to busy today." He suggested. Then he
gave a small chuckle along with Horizonpaw. "Your not
the only one." He winked as he started to pad
out of the apprentices den, into the clearing.

Smiling, the tom stood up and then stretched his legs some as he turned his head slightly to the side and yawned the clamped his mouth shut. Thinking about tomorrow with Patchstorm made him exhausted! But no matter he wanted to get some learning in. So with a smile, the young apprentice turned and followed Reedpaw out of the apprentices den "Clearing? Not busy? That's a first!" he chuckled and then looked around and blinked. Where is everyone..

When fighting hit Horizonpaws ears he slightly scrambled back and crouched down his eyes wide and he whimpered "B-Battle? Do we really need to learn about that .. I mean there should be peace in the world not war .. no fighting.." he whispered and slowly backed up again. You could tell he was horrified with the idea of someday possibly having to attack another cat or something else.
