Darkpaw stood up from her dry nest, shook out her fur and walked outside, breathing in the cool morning air. Walking down to the Fresh-kill pile, she took a mouse from the top and turned around to go back to the Apprentice's Den. Bounding over to it, she sat down in the shelter of a boulder and began to eat. The sound of crackling leaves indicated someone behind her. Swinging around, she stared at the place where she had heard the noise and waited.

Fawnpaw exited the apprentice den, just having woken up from a nap. Now she was ready to socialize. Scanning the clearing, she spotted a darker colored pelt that looked familiar. Bounding over, Fawnpaw crushed leaves under her paws. She didn't know if she alerted the she-cat or what, but the fawn-pelted cat let out a mew so her presence was known. "Hello."

Just coming back form a bit of a training session from his new friend Reedpaw, the yellow tom bounded toward the fresh-kill pile with a smile on his face when he nearly clashed into a she-cat, stumbling back he put his paws all over and stood there with wide eyes. When she left, he leaned down and grabbed a trout then went over to where the she-cat rested eating the mouse she had grabbed.
He opened his mouth about to apologize and say hello when another female came out of the apprentice den. He flicked his ears then backed up slowly "S-sorry about nearly slamming faces with you. But you have company, ill just be on my way." he said picking up his meal as he turned to leave then flicked his ear "Have a nice day ladies." he said.

Darkpaw turned to the fawn-colored cat, eyeing her with calmness and gentleness. "Hello. I am Darkpaw. Who are you?" Then a new voice came from the left. Smiling, she turned to the sandy-colored tom. "No need to apologize. We all do it someday." She murmured. Watching him get up and turn around, she spoke with a gentle voice. "You don't have to go, you know."

Her soft voice sent chills up his spine and he turned around "A-are you sure? Someone else was already here." he said to her and crouched down his ears to his skull "I just don't want to intrude on your talk its rather rude of me." he mewled and blinked flicking his ear.

Darkpaw's deep blue eyes glittered with amusement. "Of course I'm sure." This cat seemed quite shy, but she'd met other shy cats before. "I believe we haven't met yet. I am Darkpaw." She said.

Fawnpaw smiled politely as Horizonpaw neared the two cats. She nodded slowly, intently listening to their conversation. "I think I'm going to leave you two in peace." She meowed, and backed away toward the apprentice den. "Oh, and nice to meet you, Darkpaw. I'm Fawnpaw, by the way." The IceClanner finished, and she turned around, starting to walk off to the den. Perhaps another nap would give her energy for training.
