@pandafur - i believe dingo and jaguar are not allowed because cats would have no idea what they are. coyote and purple are fine, and i guess desert as well, though it would be more unlikely.

Lightfall - Okay! I used a Jaguar account for a couple of months and no one gave me any trouble - I believe I even PMed a staffer and they didn't mention it - so I figured Dingo would also be all right. o-o [Also because cats seem to know what wolves and tigers are, and Dingoes also exist in Asia with those animals] But thanks for answering, if they aren't allowed I won't use them! ^^

If cats know what lions, leopards and tigers are without ever seeing them, then I think it would only be realistic for them to be familiar with a large range of animals. They seem to know what all the big cats are, so I think jaguar is all right. Tigers, lions, leopards and Indian wolves all live in Asia, so I guess cats could know what Asiatic dingoes are, and they would probably compare them with normal dogs. [There are also domestic and wild cats living there.]
That's just what I have to say.

the reason warriors know what tigers, lions, and leopards are, is because they're ancestors, the clans before them, were called LionClan, TigerClan, and LeopardClan, each one made up of the animal of its title. They know what wolves, foxes, and badgers are because those animals are the predators that live around them, so really, they have no way to know what a dingo is.

Thanks for answering, both of you. c: Would Dingo be acceptable for a DeathClan cat or a rogue / loner etc? Also, a member just PMed me and said purple wasn't allowed .. ?

Purple would probably be allowed. There was a Pinkpaw once. Also Dingo for a loner, kittypet, dcer, would be fine.

Basic colours names like Green or Orange are pretty safe to have though you need to think of why you would use a prefix like purple since you cannot have purple on your cat cannot have purple fur, eyes, pawpads, nothing of the sort. It is allowed it just may seem like an odd choice for a mother to name their kit unless there was a specific reason like the kit was birthed next to a lilac bush or something of that nature

Let me just clear this all up.
First, don't listen to regular members. Especially ones who say Purple isn't allowed. There used to be a popular Iceclan warrior called Purpledawn. Purple is definitely allowed. Most colors are, actually. But when you get into, like, Saddlebrownkit, you've reached a limit.
Desert = Technically, there are no deserts in the VWW territories. But there aren't any lakes or Oceans, but there have been plenty of Oceankits and Lakekits, ssooo I can't really say I can stop you. But I'd highly suggest not using this name on Clan kits.
Coyote = Coyotes live in the area of VWW, and there have been many, many Clan cats with the prefix Coyote. It's fine.
Dingo = No. VWW takes place in North America. Like someone above said, the cats know Lion, Tiger, etc. because those are ancestrol Clans. Dingos are not. Dingos live in Africa, and according to someone else in here, Asia. (Never heard of them in Asia, gonna research that) So Dingo is not permitted unless given to a kittypet, loner, or rogue. If a kittypet named Dingo joins a Clan, then they may be permitted to be called Dingosomething, but only if the Clan leader permits it themself.
Jaguar = Just stick with the ancestor Clans for Jaguar, I suppose. There are Lion, Tiger, Panther, Cheetah, etc. kits, so I don't see why Jaguar would be the final limit. But don't say you're named Jaguar 'cause your mom /saw/ a jaguar while hunting. Then it'd be a big no-no.

The cats of VWW share the ancestry with jaguars and leopards.
