The dark tabby tom blinked open his dark blue eyes, chasing the sleepiness away. He rolled over with an annoyed grumble, trying to go back to sleep. But those idiotic rays of sunlight kept hitting his eyes and face, making it uncomfortable and impossible to sleep. With a groan he rose to his large, brown paws, walking slowly out of the den. The sun was bright and high in the sky, and he squinted at it without interest. He hadn't realized he had slept that long. Probably the result of training with Redheart. he concluded, heading to the fresh kill pile. He picked out a plump vole, and made his way to a sunny rock.

Tigerpaw left the apprentices' den, yawning. The golden tabby tom walked to the fresh-kill pile, seeing someone pick up some prey and leave for rocks. It was another apprentice. Pulling a water vole out, the tom slowly followed behind, cocking his head. "Hello. Mind if I join you?" he asked.

Lostpaw looked up as he heard pawsteps, twitching his ears. A golden tabby apprentice was approached him with his own vole. When the tom asked a questioned, he blinked at him, not knowing what to say. He didn't feel like speaking, but if he said that, it might be considered rude. "Oh, uh, yeah sure." He replied, scooting over on the rock. He studied the feline for a moment, and it seemed as if Lostpaw were older then the other apprentice, though only by a bit.

Tigerpaw gave a nod, settling beside his fellow apprentice. The tabby munch on his own meal before speaking again. "I am Tigerpaw." he meowed around his food, licking his lips as he bit into it again.

Lostpaw bit into his prey again, then nodded. He paused. "I'm Lostpaw." He said, giving a small shrug. He sunk into a silence, knowing he should say something. But what? "It's a, uh, pleasure to meet you." he said, praying he didn't look stupid.

Tigerpaw gave Lostpaw a small laugh, nodding. "Pleasure to meet you too. So, who is your mentor? My mentor is Bramblethorn. She is really great." he meowed, giving a smile past his food. He swallowed before taking another bite into it.
