Nocat who lived around the lake knew of the 7 other Clans. These Clans were FireClan, IceClan, MountainClan, EarthClan, StormClan, SkyClan and SandClan. These Clans believed in StarClan too, but had different rules. So here is the first story, of Whitebear and Snowfeather of IceClan:
Snowkit looked over the snowy ledge on which IceClan camp was on. IceClan lived atop a snowy mountain and their cats always had long furs adapted to the cold. Snowkit was thinking about their first Gathering. See, in IceClan and the other Clans' world, kits could go to Gatherings when they were 3 moons old. As Snowkit and her sister Whitekit had just turned 3 moons old, they were excited.
"Let all cats 3 moons or older come join beneath the High Stone for a Clan meeting." Sparklestar, their Clan leader said.
"C'mon, Whitekit!" Snowkit said as she and her sister bounded over.
"As you know, tonight is a Gathering. I want these cats to come: Applefrost, Flamelight, Mapleleaf, Stormcloud and Feathertalon. For the apprentices, Leopardpaw, Cloudpaw, and Wolfpaw. Finally, for the kits, I want Dustkit, Snowkit, Whitekit, and Fawnkit. Now let's go." Said the sparkling white she cat. Sparklestar jumped down from the snow topped rock that was Highstone.
"I'm so excited!" Snowkit and Whitekit said at the same time.
When they got to SandClan's desert of a territory, Snowkit and Whitekit took in their surroundings. SandClan, given their names, lived in a desert. The leaders met atop a high, smooth, rock outcrop in which they talked and shared news. The deputies sat beneath the Tallrock and the other cats sat around them.
"I smell FireClan, StormClan and MountainClan. What about you?" White said to her sister.
"I smell EarthClan, SkyClan and SandClan, so I guess we're about to begin." Replied Snowkit.
"Hello, Clans. I am Sweetstar, leader of FireClan, and here is my news: we have 2 new warriors, Duskeyes and Dawnlight." Sweetstar said as 2 pale, brownish gray she cats came forward. They bowed, then walked away.
"We also have 6 new kits as well, Snowkit, Icekit, Frostkit, Cottonkit, Cloudkit, and Whitekit. That's about it for FireClan," said the white patched black she cat.
Sparklestar stepped forward and said, "IceClan has a new apprentice, Lakepaw." A calico she cat with emerald colored eyes stepped forward, took a bow, then went back down. "We also have 2 kits which Gathering is their first, Snowkit and Whitekit." Sparklestar said as they stepped forward, took bows, then walked back down.
After the Gathering, the two kits were carried home by their mother, Vixentail.
