Luna toiled up the grassy slope toward a boggy part of the forest. Pausing to taste the air, she continued, the moonlight casting cold grey beams. As she slank through the forest, the light rippled over her back. Luna was heading back to her den after a long day, watching Lyric be slaughtered. A cold burst of anger shot through her. Drought thought he could do everything! If he thinks he can control me, he's got another thing coming. Luna thought crossly. She continued, stopping a narrow bog of swamp. Luna gave her pelt a gruff shake before leaping, only to end a tail lienth away from her landing point. Snorting in annoyance, she waded the rest of the way out, and continues. As Luna made hr way to her den, she shook her paws in order to her the quickly-caking mud and swamp water out of her fur. As she neared her den, a few large stones jutted up and bit into the sky like jagged teeth. Suddenly, a hawthorn bush trembled at the edge of her vision. With an exasperated hiss, she spun and glared at it. "Who's there?" Luna challenged, waiting for another feline to step out.

There was a sigh and a dark tabby slunk out. "Honestly Luna. I would have thought you'd have known my scent by now." Rebellion's deep voice rumbled as he padded from the darkness and into the light. Except this Rebellion was different from the last time they met. He was a bit larger and more well built from his time away from Deathclan. And a three claw scar ran from his right eye across the bridge of his nose. His dark amber eyes seemed a bit...well distant.

As Rebellion stepped out and mumbled to her, Luna quickly jumped to her defense. "The wind is blowing towards you!" Her voice was jagged and a low, throaty growl. Taking a deep breath, she decided to start over. Noticing the scar on his face, she cautiously asked.. "What happened?"

He blinked at her a few moments before looking away. Hiding the scared part of his face. "Just a fight I got in. It doesn't matter." He muttered.

Grunting, Luna continued her way to her den. "Sure doesn't look it." She huffed under her breath. She shifted her weight, folding her fur so that the gash she received earlier didn't show. "I'm going to my den. Would you like to join me?" She meowed, throwing a glance around.

He hesitated. On one hand he didn't want to spend time with her seeing as its been awhile. But another hand it would be awkward just because he's been gone and changed. "Uh y-yeah sure." He slowly followed behind her

Luna cast a long, icy glance at Rebellion. "Well, I mean just to sit at the edge of the river. You don't have to go into my den." She meowed, leaping over yet again another bog.

He frowned at her and stopped walking. "Look. If you want me to come then act like it stop giving me the cold shoulder. I'm not in the mood." He flexed his claws and turned around before walking off. Perhaps he should have gone to see moonless or Kiera instead. They would have been happy to see him at least.

Luna looked back at rebellion. Her heart shattered. A growl bubbled in her throat. "I was happy to see you! I missed you!!" She yowled, before stealing off to her den. Luna's heart ached with something that no herb nor word of encouragement could fix.

He looked over his shoulder towards where she was and sighed. 'Each time I leave everyone becomes distant.' He thought before padding into the shadows and lied down

Luna glanced back, sorrow in her eyes. She would never forgive herself for turning down the only thing that she had to look forward to. "I'm sorry." She murmered, loud enough for Rebellion to catch. Signing, Luna spotted a shadowy tree trunk. She plopped down, wishing for her own den. Luna didn't deserve a comfortable place.
