[ ... I have no title muse so... ]
Quiet. Knight had never liked silence, it was nerve wracking and disturbed the paranoid side of him. His yellow eyes scanned the white trunks of the aspen trees. Their thin branches barely moved in the wind, only making tiny rustling noises. Other then that, it was silent, which didn't please Knight's desires. He liked noise, and the common rustling of leaves did not please him. He pricked his ears and continued walking though the thin aspens. The grass grazed his belly as he moved along, traveling like he always had.
He lifted his head high, looking at the dark grey clouds that gathered over head. It was easy to tell that soon rain would be upon the forest. With a small groan he continued though the trees, ears pricked in hopes of more sound.

Suddenly, a large rustling sound came from nearby - to the other wolf's right. Yechta was busy rooting about, trying to grasp at the herbs below her to bring back to her camp. However, her nose kept being pierced by the thorns of the bush - a soft, rather feminine annoyed growl ripping from her throat. She decided the thorns caught in her snout would be dealt with later - she was too far into the brush to give up on the rare herb now. With a swift pull, she uprooted it, letting out a few apologies to the plant. It was conflicting, having a love for medicine but having a hate for ruining plants.
She lurched her petite black form from the bush, little burs clinging to her pelt - however, thanks to its thickness, not getting in to her skin. She settled herself on the ground, plucking them from her nose and then from her pelt. This was interrupted rather quickly though as she raised her head, catching the lone wolf's scent and looking straight at him. Large, and a dark wolf like her. "Hello," Was all she said to him, a slight tone of disinterest in her voice before she went back to kicking and biting burrs from her fur - the annoying stickers getting tangles in the mass.

Out of no where the rustling increased, somewhat startling Knight. His eyes swiveled to the right, looking for the source of the noise. It wasn't hard to find the source, since the rustling was a little louder. He finally sniffed the air and was able to catch the scent of wolf. He took a few cautious steps through the bush until his eyes laid on a she-wolf. The she-wolf's fur was cluttered with clingy burs from the bush nearby.
When she spoke, she showed no interest in him, making it clear that she wanted the burs off. "Hello young maiden, I didn't mean to disturb you." Knight greeted in his usual way. He was strange like that, using maiden and other words he called polite, kind and knightly above all.

After spitting out all the burrs threatening to now cling into her mouth, she spoke up once more. "How's it hangin'?" She asked, obviously not so formal as him, clawing out the last bit of burrs from her fur with her thick black nails; then, beginning to scratch behind her ear before flopping down with an exerted sigh. Yeah, she deserved a rest after that one, that was sooooo much exercise. (Not really.)
Now, the matching black she-wolf decided to look up at the little night through her heterochromatic eyes. Maybe show him a little more interest - he looked bored, so why not. He earned it, just like she earned this rest. "Do you have a name?" She asked him, rolling not too elegantly on her back and stretching out her tiny but long-for-her-body legs to the air. Hard to believe this she-wolf was a shaman, let alone an alpha of any sort.

Knight stepped back as the she-wolf spat out the burs that were in her mouth. Letting them scatter on the forest floor, making small traps for any creature to walk by. Knight dismissed, but kept his distance from the wretched burs. He hoped not to be seen as rude for wanting to keep the pesky plant out of his fur. The she-wolf spoke again and then went back to work on getting the remaining burs out of her fur.
"Great, and you?" Knight responded, trying to keep a confused tone out of his voice. His formal ways sometimes getting the best of him, leaving absent-mindedness in some areas, one of those being less formal sentences. He soon sat down on the soft grass, wrapping his black tail around his paws. After the she-wolf had removed the burs, she showed a little bit more interest and asked for a name.
"My name is Knight, what is yours?" Knight answered, dropping the formal additions. It was clear that this she-wolf didn't care if he was formal or not.

"Yechta." She said, shaking her now perfectly preened fur and letting out a relieved and comfortable sigh. Little bits of pollen and the sweet scent of lavender flying into the air as well. With how much she played with herbs, the scent of them always clung to her pelt - masking the canine scent that other wolves carried. Maybe she was the first wolf to ever wear 'perfume'.
"Knight, huh? Like a guard?" She asked him curiously, cocking her head to the side and looking the wolf up and down through her bi-colored eyes. He certainly looked the part. He was well built, looking as though he could take care of someone in a fight. "Interesting. Did you used to protect someone - or were you born into protecting someone?" She asked him, circling him a little as she asked. Not in a threatening manner, but just to get a better look - genuinely intrigued. Her mind sure had a way of deciphering things.

Knight watched as Yechta shook her pelt, filling the air with the sweet smell of lavender. It was certainly a unique smell for a wolf to possess, but it smelled wonderful. On a different wolf, Knifht would give a compliment, but Yechta seemed different. The wolves Knight had met spoke their name instantly, and often showed interest from the start. So Yechta interested him, and kept him curious.
"Not necessarily a guard. I am more of a warrior. A protective perhaps, but I wouldn't say guard myself. I have no one to protect anyways." Knight explained. The more questions Yechta asks made Knight more interested. He had never met a wolf that asked about names. It was interesting. So he listened, intrigued by the she-wolf.

yechta
"Why not find someone to protect?" She asked, ceasing her circling and sitting in front of the matching black wolf. "What do you do that makes you feel you have purpose?" She asked, loosely remaining on topic with her previous sentence. She cocked her head to the side, her interest clearly spiking by the second. Every wolf did something or felt something that made them feel they had purpose. Everything that put them somewhere - adding them self a notch to the belt of life. A star in the universe.
This knight was ominous, he had no king to protect - no young princess who needed his handsome adoration's, his drawn back lips and barren teeth. As much as his name entails. Did he guard someone, if not something - did he not guard at all and if so why have such an endearing and mighty name? Her mind was a-whirl with questions that surrounded just one simple word and what to all others would seem like one simple wolf.
Knight.
This was the very stance, the very epitome of time and space to her though. The very question of the universe - the end and the beginning. To be with purpose and without, to know yet know nothing. To be a protector yet protect nothing.
What was this wolf? Her mind was in a very deep state as she intensely listened for his next words with baiting breath, that much was obvious.
notes: Yechta looks too deep into things. Again. LOL words: 238

Yechta had gone deeply into the meaning of a name. Knight had often just used their words and acted like a gentleman, but that was about it. He could also fight very well, but preferred not to stir violence. That was when an answer hit him that he found fitted him more so, but the question changed very quickly. "Well for question one, maybe I am more of a peace keeper. Knights have been known to keep peace, and I don't know any wolves who need protection anyways. The ones I do know made it clear they were capable to fight." Knight answered, pausing before answering the second one.
Answering a question of purpose was hard. Knight didn't know why purpose was necessary, considering all he did was travel. He liked learning new things, rather then stay put and he found fun in exploring the world and learning its features. "I am just a traveler really. If I were to have a purpose, it would be to travel. I learn more so, and even if my name doesn't contradict what I do, it isn't like people wolves would expect me to be protecting someone. Well I am pretty sure unless they are like you." Knight answered. He didn't always understand why a name had such a big meaning. It would be like being named an occupation if names work out what you were to do. Like a warrior being names warrior, it wouldn't make any sense.
