(I recently watched the movie and I had no other title ideas so there....)
Darkpaw sat down with a lonely huff, his small bushel of miss lay just at his feet. He was an apprentice now. It had been a day and now he's finally gotten around to making his nest like a regular cat. Outside the sun was setting and he was eager to settle down. What he wasn't so keen on was having to deal with all the gossiping whispers of his new denmates. He wasn't sure he'd be able to cope with all that now. He did know that his littermate, Sagepaw, was here too and for that he was silently grateful. Of course the grouchy tom would never admit this to anyone and he fully intended to keep his walls up for the remainder of his stay here as an underling. The short apprentice was a bit slower physically than most kits. He had short legs and was much too skinny for his own good. He had tall thin ears and sharp magenta colored eyes. His odd appearance out most kittens off back in the nursery. As for the new den? He'd just have to wait and see.

Rainpaw walked into the den slowly, Russian blue fur clumped together. Sighing angrily, the tom circled in his nest and began to groom himself. He was halfway finished when a flash of white caught his eye. Looking up, he peered around and saw a small tom. With white fur, and... magenta eyes. Sharp. Huffing, he stood up and walked over to the tom. "Hey. You don't look so happy. What's your name?" Rainpaw asked, sitting down. "I'm Rainpaw." He said in his deep, gravely voice.

Darkpaw felt another presence and ignored it at first, beginning to spread the bedding to his own small shape. He wasn't sure it was much of a change den-wise contrasting the nursery and the apprentice-den. They were both about the same size, just with more nests and less order. Well, that wasn't necessarily true. The white tom felt the person behind him approach and he slowly turned, his ears twitching and boucning back and forth. "Happy? I don't believe that's a sufficient enough word. But if you insist on the term, no, I am not 'happy'. But I am neither sad or depressed as I have seen a few cats express. Quite mousebrained in all reality. I'm simply coping with the move. My name is Darkpaw, pleasure to make your acquaintance, Rainpaw." He said formally, finishing his nest as he placed the last and final feather. When he was done he finally looked up to see a moderately sized Russian blue who had to be a moon or two older than him.

Rainpaw listened to the tom's ramblings curiously, but not showing it. At last, he dipped his head. "Pleasure to meet you, Darkpaw." He replied, wrapping his tail over his paws. "I haven't seen you around camp much. Did you stay inside the Nursery?"

He felt his pelt flush with slight heat. "Yeah. But everyone grows at different paces!" He threw out in his defense. He flatted his ears and straightened to try and seem a little taller, it didn't work. "My siblings are much more farther along than I am, it's ridiculous and idiotic that I should have to wait longer." He ranted, lashing his tail slightly. He pouted slightly and took a deep breathe to try and settle down.

"True." Rainpaw mused, blinking. Putting his tail on Darkpaw's shoulder, he smiled sadly and looked down at him. "Well... all I can say is, that you shouldn't let other cats get to you about your size, or appearance. All that matters is the inside, in the mouse-brained reality." The Russian blue tom tilted his head and lay down, so he looked up at Darkpaw.
