The large black and white male was trudging along the damp paths of foliage that had been flattened years ago by other wolves. This path led to the ice-cold pond that many wolves used to gather around during the older days his father used to speak of. His pack was empty and he was alone again as a lone alpha, having nothing but the title of being the son of the Prince of Cold that had died off along with his once grand legacy.
Reaching the lake he sees his reflection rippling in the water.
Was his life a waste? What was he on this land for?
A twig snaps him out of reality, making him lift his head from looking at his reflection.
"What now? Another Amaryillis Pack member coming to tell me how great their pack is?" he asks rather annoyed, rolling his eyes. So far, that pack's name was attached to almost every wolf he had run into. It was getting annoying, frankly.

she had come for a quick drink at the lake, but she had apparently startled a male, after stepping on a twig she muttered (Great) she then stepped out of the bushes and with i brisk dip of her head she padded past him and headed to the cool liquid, she lapped the chilling water and lifted her head and shook her fur for a moment as the water slowly quenched her thirst. she smiled for a moment then went stone face as she turned to the black and white male.
she dipped her head in greetings she had not reason to act hostile around him, but if he did anything to threaten her she would definitely be remembered by this male. she asked with a silky voice "Who might you be" her eyes examined the male for a moment longer then she sat she could tell that he was not an aggressive type. she waited for him to answer as she studied him and asked " what is on your mind," she could tell he was annoyed by something she was very good at reading others expressions and some times thoughts is she set her mind to it. she was agile and cunning what she could not do was a ministry. she did not move her aqua gaze from the male and waited to see if he would answer her.

"I'm Erebus....but most call me Eren...I'm just here as you are...trying to enjoy life even though I don't see any point in trying to enjoy it when nothing goes your way..." he says gruffly, reaching up with his hind leg to scratch his ear.

(comin' to crash yo party. Also I actually had to intention to talk to him in the other thread but things went south..LOL) yechta
Yechta padded into the abandoned territory once more, having strayed into Eren's corner of the woods on accident. She really needed to stop doing that - it was a rather bad habit. However, you couldn't blame her, it was rather hard to distinguish his scent alone among the rest of the things here.
Her black fluffy ears perked up as she heard voices, oops. Well, maybe she could still go over - she was in a neutral position with Eren and they got along decently. At least, she was pretty sure hey did. Yechta ducked below hulking willows and jumped lightly over fallen logs and hulking boulders. There was no doubt that this territory was beautiful and she could feel its history. A heart beating and a never ending ancestors dance among the almost abandoned grounds.
Perhaps, she was always being drawn into the spiritual aura of the place? It didn't matter to her..she liked it. She took in a deep breath, almost forgetting to investigate the nearby wolves. Yechta shook away the lovely feeling, proceeding carefully to the camp. "Hello!" The she-wolf called out, tail wagging in a rather friendly nature. "How are things, Eren?" She asked the wolf, almost appearing to be checking up on him.
Yechta looked to the other mostly-red she-wolf. Flicking her tail to acknowledge the other wolf.

Seeing the alphess come into view made his heart skip a beat for a moment before he shrugged off the odd feeling, trying his best to look as if he wasn't mad.
"Ah....Yechta...what are the odds I see you here of all wolves...?" he asks nonchalantly, dipping his head a bit.
"So glad the alphess of another pack has the time to come see the lone alpha of his own ghostly pack. How are things...?" he continues. Frankly he wasn't mad at the she-wolf..to come and make all of his packmates leave his own safehaven of a pack to join hers so quickly....if anything by now, he admired her.

yechta
"Don't be so formal with me, Eren." She said with a small laugh, flicking her tail for the wolf to put his head up. She sat in front of him, drawing her tongue over one of her inky black paws a moment before letting it fall back to the cool ground. "Things are fine, there is a sick pup and a few other drained wolves but they are recovering. Much to their own dismay, they're going to have to start pulling their weight soon." She said in a teasing tone directed towards the far off wolves back at camp.
She sat in silence a moment after that, looking around the empty pack territory..it was rather sad. She knew three or four of her members once belonged to this pack; Yechta wondered a moment how he ruled. Shaking it away, she looked back to Eren.
"Don't you get lonely around here?" She asked the alpha, looking back into his blue-green eyes with her heterochromatic. "Why not join us back at Amaryllis? We could use a wolf of your caliber." She said, a kind smile on her face. This wasn't meant to degrade the alpha at all, and she hoped it wasn't coming off as such. No wolf deserved to live in the faded echo of what once was for the rest of his days..she doubted he viewed the place in the same spiritual resonance as she did. It was kind of a shaman thing. "You'd fit in well..your former pack-mates, they miss you - I know Lagoon wants you to join." She urged, tail wagging slightly against the ground.

Eren shook his head.
"I'd take you up on your offer but it's not all that simple...you see..." he pauses. "My father wished for me to rule over his pack while he went off to the mountains to find his last resting place...he told me I was born to become a great alpha....I'd be glad to join if that wasn't the case...but sadly it is. I may not have known my father very long but I know he was a great alpha...I want to be acknowledged as a leader like he once was before the new times began...I want to be someone important like he was when he ruled over a pack allied with the Bloodthirsties, and became such a great wolf, even the great HellHound bowed to him with his rotten tail between his legs!"
His ears flatten.
"But if only times like that were true in this present time...so I can be a hero and be a legend...not just some shadow with my father's blood." he kicks a stone into the water with his paw in slight anger.

yechta
Hellhound, she remembered that name - that wolf. "Eren, the lengths of a hero are not judged by blood - nor a villain." She said gently, looking him dead in the eye once more. Her mother, who she was a dead resemblance of - Yuki. She was widely revered, told to some pups as a great legend, others as a nightmare. She was neither heroin nor villain, but everyone knew her name. Yechta often scared elderly wolves, causing them to believe she was the ghost of her mother coming to haunt them. Take their first borns souls - something like that. Yechta and her mother were polar-opposites,
For the most part.
Yuki had been cunning, she ruled over a pack 40 strong with her mate Occatio. An iron fist and a whip, claiming her pack to be a sanctuary - she shook off the tales. She heard good and bad of The Scavengers. Returning back to the topic. "My mother, you don't see me following in her footsteps as she had intended me. I am my own legacy, just as you are - we are not faded echoes of the past crying out for their fame. They were legends because they built themselves up to it, do not stand in your father's shadow Eren. You are more than that." She said, looking to the sky a moment, as if she were searching. She saw her mother sometimes, in deep visions. "I am not the alpha of the scavengers, you are not the alpha of his pack. We are their descendants - we are destined for our own etching in history. We carry greatness in our bones perhaps, everyone does. Their actions were not ours." She said, looking back to him once more - taking in a deep inhalation of the crisp air. "History is to be looked upon..respected - not repeated."

"Too bad my legacy can never start until I do something to be acknowledged...it's not as easy as you make it seem....To be honest I am nothing but a shadow at this rate. I have tried making my own pack to step out of his shadow...but alas, it is a large one...and you saw how that attempt of making a pack for me went..." he stared back at her, narrowing his eyes.
"I cared about all of my packmates...but they cared not for me enough to stay...and consider my pack their home. Instead they went to yours. Be it my father's wish or not...no....by my OWN wishes, I wish to be an alpha. Joining your pack will do nothing but demote me. My...packmates did not give me the chance I deserved...and left me.I had another wish to have a normal life as well...but it's not possible if I can't even keep a pack up and running..." he finally hangs his head with a soft whimper, grinding his teeth a bit.

yechta
Yechta shook her head, he wasn't getting it. "Your chances in life do not depend on others. You don't have to be a leader to achieve greatness - to be remembered." She said, looking down to the alpha. "If you act like a miserable pup, wallow in self pity - you will never step from the shadows. The shadow your father casts is only as big as you think it is - what of my mother? You think she didn't cast a large and domineering shadow?" She snapped, beginning to grow impatient with him. "Stand up! You are not low like this, if I did it - you can. You can be anything you set yourself to be, be the king of yourself before you try to be the king of others." She said, narrowing her eyes.
"Perhaps, they left because you are so consumed in being what your father wants you to be. You are choosing to live in this shadow, and they are not. They have stepped out into the light of today and wish to experience themselves as the universe they know they are. You are living in the past, the faded ticks of the clock. If you want to stay here, in these frozen shadows. In greatness come and gone - never to live in the now and feel the world and its riches..so be it." She said, standing once more. "So, you will not join me - us all, because you wish to be an alpha over a pack that no longer exists? I am sorry for you," She turned around, beginning to leave - stopping at the exit and looking back to him. Waiting for him to join her in case he changed his mind. "Last chance, Eren."

(( *gasp* Ery may be developing...dare I say it...a crush...*falls out of chair laughing* XD ))
He sat and stared, his ears pinned against his head. Were friends something he could not keep either...? It seemed so.
"Look it's simple, miss Flowers. I don't take orders from anyone...even if they're my friend...I'm sorry you can't see it through my eyes....but it's not possible..I wish to still be your friend...but I will never see you as my alpha. I only see myself giving orders, not following them." he sighed, finally looking away.
"I'm sorry...." his heart sank as he finally closed his eyes, knowing if he stared any longer he would eventually reconsider to the nice, fairly attractive she-wolf.
She'll leave....they all do...

yechta
Yechta sighed, "This won't change our friendship I'm just.." The she-wolf tried to place the word lingering in her mind and on the tip of her tongue. "Disappointed." She said before turning forward again and leaping through the thicket. Racing through the once powerful territory, enjoying the rush of the energies a moment longer as she left. Back to the not-far-off expanse of flowers waiting for her on the other side.

(( Aww XD I will probably never find someone for this guy-- XD Oh well. Lakota had a dang fangirl club for crying out loud xD))
He finally looked up to see no more of that pretty face he felt like he wanted to see every day.
"It would never happen....why would I even think of feeling that way....of all the wolves in this godforsaken forest...." he paused to take a breath, slumping down.
"Who am I kidding...I shouldn't even know that emotion...I should not even try..."
