@maplefrost
Thunderhowl padded into the elder's den, nose wrinkling as much from the fish clamped in his jaws, than the dense, heady smell of the enclosed space. He'd never much liked fish, and he'd never liked the elder's den, with its old cat smell either. Unfortunately, in his eye all apprentices were lazy and useless, and having assumed none of them were taking initiative to take care of the elder's, he had chosen to do it himself. Despite their old-cat smell, the spiky furred tom had always felt a liking with the cranky wisdom of elders.
"Anyone hungry?" The young warrior grunted his question, bright eyes flicking back and forth in the dim.

After his retirement, Maplefrost had spent a lot of time improving his new den. Seeing as it was very rare for anyone to willingly come and clean, he'd done that himself... and the old calico had also managed to repair the leaking roof. It was difficult work, but it wasn't as if he had anything better to do.
He had actually been dozing, curled up in his nest, when Thunderhowl arrived. The elder was woken by his questioning call. With a sleepy huff, he rose stiffly to his paws, back arching. The Maine Coon then turned to face his visitor curiously.
Maplefrost wasn't sure who this warrior was, but his one-eyed green gaze instantly locked onto the fish he was carrying. "Lunch? Don't mind if I do," he rumbled happily as he limped over to Thunderhowl.
