Rabbitpaw walked into the elders den with a nice big rabbit. She put down the rabbit and called out," Is anyone hungry for a rabbit?" She was hoping for a story from one of the elders.

The one-eyed calico raised his muzzle curiously when he heard the voice of an apprentice in his den. Hungry? Thunderhowl came by with prey not too long ago. Guess I can't complain that apprentices are paying attention to this place now, but their timing could stand to be improved...
"I just ate, but you can leave it right there." Maplefrost gestured with his tail-tip to the center of the den and smiled slightly. "Did your mentor send you?" he inquired. It was rare for a young cat to come here on her own accord... well, unless there was something she wanted from him.

Rabbitpaw sow as the tom raised his muzzle and replied "Oh ok." Rabbitpaw put the rabbit on the floor. "My mentor didn't send me I just wanted to see if any of the elders were hungry." Rabbitpaw smiled.

Maplefrost wondered for a moment whether the young cat had caught the prey herself. He noticed that it was rather plump; he wasn't sure whether the other two elders could even finish it on their own. The rabbit would certainly have been an impressive catch for an apprentice.
"Ah, good to hear that the younger generations are starting to take an interest in caring for those who have retired," he purred quietly. "I'm sure that my denmates will be grateful for the food. Thanks."
Having sat up to speak with Rabbitpaw, the calico now settled himself back down and curled his fluffy tail-tip over his nose, expecting the apprentice to set off into the camp clearing.
