Craven Undavarie Sun heated the thick fur of the female wolf. She raised her muzzle, scenting deer, but it wasn't what she was hunting. The Mountain Wolves Alpha was hunting agreement with a pack that had just battled hers, out of the blue, for land rather than simply asking. It didn't make sense to her, why Craven's pack would bother fighting a battle unless they were planning to take over all the land or the pack itself. Something told her they would, but her priorities were to protect her minuscule pack - hardly a pack at all - by securing new boundaries. The ground sloped further downward as Moon traveled, soon turning to a grass and soon to a light forest. The sent crossed her own borders, a place she rarely went to, with consequences. The pack that resided there must have known about the Mountain Wolves somehow and expanded their territory to meet hers. Yet Craven was right; he had more members of his pack. If he wanted to merge, I'd be fine with that. But I'm not leaving my home. Moon sat on her haunches, waiting for the male wolf to join her at the borders. The wind barely stirred the leaves, for they had very little. And the air bit at her toes, but she had not worries of it. Moon was used to the high elevations and the cold at her fur. So there was nothing to do but wait.
