Great, another stormy day like always. The faint pitter patter of the raindrops outside signaled another storm approaching. Sunspots thought the sky was crying because of their recent kick-in-the-face plan failure that happened. That stupid traiter Lyric, she ruined the whole plan. She continued to burrow through her den, making more room inside of the badger set. She heard something outside that wasn't the storm, it sounded like a cat trying to get out of the weather. Sunspots poked her head up out of the den and meowed "Want to get out of the storm? You can come in here."

Hunter muttered curses under his breath as his den filled with rain water. "Den" wasn't really the word to describe the debris-covered roots he was crouching under. He found out too late that piling leaves over some twigs wasn't a very effective way to keep dry. This became even more evident when they all collapsed on him in a soggy heap. Hunter stomped into the open and through the forest, wishing there was something else without shelter for him to mutilate and kill. Just when he was about ready to mutilate something that did have a shelter, a voice called out, inviting him out of the rain. Hadn't Drought just taught them a lesson about being soft? Oh well, her loss. He'd just go in, wait, then kill her in her sleep so he could have a descent den for once. It's what any cat with sense would do. Hunter walked up to the hole in the dirt, shook out as much water as possible from his short fur, and entered. Inside it was too dark do see any more than a vague black form. "Thanks. I'm Hunter," he grunted. Darkpool, it was hard to be nice. He started licking his chest fur dry while figuring how long he should pretend to sleep before claiming the den.

When the tom got into the den, Sunspots pulled down a large shard of glass to not let any more rain in. She turned to the cat to get a closer look, a bright flash of lightning lit of the room for a split second letting her get a look of the cat. He was a brown tom, maybe a bit older than her, blue eyes, she hadn't seen him around before. The tom introduced himself by the name of Hunter. "No problem Hunter, my name is Sunspots." The red tabby meowed as she packed some dirt on a side of a wall "You can stay here until the storm is over if you want. It looks like its going to be another downpour."

The she-cat's name was Sunspots. It was a good thing he was going to remove her from Deathclan. If word got out that it was housing a cat with a name like that it would ruin their reputation even further.
Hunter glanced up when lightning struck to see what kind of cat he was up against. Her name and voice might be deceiving and she was really a cat worthy of living under Drought. But no, she was just a small, ginger kittypet. If he didn't have to act friendly, he would have snorted.
"I'll just sleep through it," he said to her comment about the storm. He laid his head down, hoping she would follow suit. He couldn't really curl up because his back muscles were messed up, and one of his ribs probably healed wrong after that pounding from another deathclanner.

{This is long XP} Sunspots ears bent to listen to Hunter's reply as she faced the wall and worked on packing in the walls in case water leaked though. She turned to face him for a second, her eyes like two amber lights in the dark. She nodded to him and turned back to her work. "Okay, you do that." She meowed as she snapped a stone into the side of the wall "Downpours like this are very short or very long, and it looks like its going to be a long one."
Sunspots dusted off her paws on the stone floor and went over to a hole that only she could fit though and burrowed down deep into it. After a while she came up with a frustrated look "Perfect, all out of stored food." She meowed going over to the entrance of the den "Be right back." She slid the glass pane out of place and went out into the rain, the wetness soaking her dark red fur. She made it over to the overfloaded river and quickly snagged a trout out of the water. Then she made it back towards her dome with the thrashing fish in her mouth.

Hunter ground his teeth as the stupid she-cat bustled around the small hole and whacked the dirt walls. What was she doing, trying to make it collapse? Just go to sleep already he thought as she started yapping away.
"Be right back."
Hunter's ears flicked up. She was leaving? He cracked open an eye to make sure it was true. Sure enough, she moved her weird see-through thing and walked into the storm. When she was hidden by the sheets of rain, which didn't take very long, he got to his paws and perched next to the opening. It would be so simple. By the time she came back, she would be weighed down by the water in her ridiculously fluffy pelt and wouldn't be able to see him in the shadows.
Hunter waited, envisioning the attack in his head over and over. There was no way it could fail. Of course, it seemed like eternity before she came back because it always does when someone is waiting for something. But she did come back eventually. Her body blocked out the dim light coming through the opening. He poised himself, then pounced, thinking of how it would feel when his jaws closed on that place just above the shoulder blades.
(i don't know if you can tell, but i don't mind long posts haha)

Sunspots dropped the fish as Hunter leaped at her and pinned her down, she had been tricked. She let her good-nature get the best of her again. This idiot underestimated me. She pretended to stop struggling for a few heartbeats then thrashed her body at full force and flipped herself over with sharp claws extended and her face a mask of pure ferociousness. "So this is how you say Thank You?" She spat, her eyes like burning embers as she aimed many blows at the tom's underbelly "I may be as pretty as an angel, but I sure as Darkpool ain't one!"

Hunter smiled in satisfaction as he felt Sunspots go limp under his paws. Smart cat, she knew when she was overpowered. He had his teeth about a whisker-width from her neck when he was jolted sideways. That foxface. He felt her claws in his belly and warm blood soaking his fur, but he wasn't one to be slowed by a few little scratches.
"Pretty? You must be joking," he said in a half growl.
He let his legs give out to drop his full weight on the ginger cat, trying to grip her shoulders with unsheathed claws and snapping at her neck. Hunter didn't follow any rules when it came to fighting except 1)don't die, and 2)win, and he would do anything to make sure he didn't break them.

Sunspots' long wet fur let her slip out of Hunter's grip and turned onto him with a look of pure hatred. She was mad. And when she was mad, stuff got killed. A bright flash of lightning split the sky with a thundering crash, now all they needed was some epic battle music. But she wasn't in the mood for spilling blood right now, all she wanted was to get her den to herself. Sunspots began to move backwards towards the river, if she could get into the water to battle, this tom would be overwhelmed.

Somehow, the she-cat had gotten away. Hunter scrambled to his paws and crouched threateningly. He bared his teeth in a hiss. He had to get into close combat because she was much more agile than him. Apparently, she could swim as well. Although Hunter wasn't especially good at deduction, he could put two and two together when he saw the fish. So he had to get into close combat and avoid bodies of water. Considering the difference in size, bowling her over seemed like the best plan.
Screeching, Hunter jumped at Sunspots with all his strength.

Sunspots predicted that Hunter was going to make a leap at her, but she was good at this kind of stuff, and he was going to know it. Right before Hunter could pin her down again, she made an epic backflip into the river behind her. Her best kind of fighting was in the water, and there was even a small stream of water that connected to her den. If she could get over there and case in the opening, Hunter wouldn't be able to follow.

Hunter steadied himself as he hit the ground. He looked up just in time to see Sunspots disappear into the river. He got a little closer to the edge. It was flowing what, 15, 20 miles per hour?(I guess he would use fox-lengths or something, but it would be hard to convert it) He had seen some monsters go that fast, and it was carrying some descent sized rocks. The she-cat was as good as dead. He didn't care if she was killed by him or not, as long as the results were the same. Hunter walked quickly back to the badger set to get out of the rain, anticipating a large seafood dinner.

[Dude the river doesn't move that fast XD] Sunspots made her way to a shallow part and balanced herself to crawl along the bottom, she could hold her breath long enough to make it to her den. If Hunter was in there by the time she got to her den, she would just wait until he left then she would do a special lock on her glass door. She quickly pulled herself out of the water and made a beeline for her den

(well, maybe more like 10...) Hunter slit the fish's stomach with a claw and looked inside. It was kind of slimy and bloody. He shrugged and lowered his muzzle to it, then he saw something he didn't think was quite possible: Sunspots. Getting rid of her was turning out to be a real pain in the neck. He sighed and trudged toward the glass-covered hole. It occurred to him that he should have stopped the bleeding from his cuts, because he was losing an inconvenient amount of blood, so he scraped some dirt off the ground and patted it on to his belly. Good enough. He exited the den to face his acrobatic opponent.
