Falling raindrops started to patter on the leaves as Stygian padded aimlessly through the forest. He had been wandering for several days without meeting any other wolves, which was odd. Usually there'd be canines everywhere he looked. However, the other inhabitants of the woods seemed to have disappeared all at once.
The black-furred beast sneezed when some of the precipitation splashed onto his nose. The rain was currently just a steady drizzle, so Sty wasn't bothering to seek shelter. He could always start looking if the storm worsened. For now, it was only a mild irritation; all of the prey had fled as soon as the rain had begun.
Stygian's stomach gave a rumble, and he resolved to try to scavenge something up. It was at that precise moment that the scent of another wolf caused him to halt and grin. Where there were wolves, leftover meal scraps usually weren't far off...

Blue orbs glared among the ferns at the unknown male who was making his way towards her territory . Out of instinct she leaped out and stood her ground facing the large male . '' Mind I ask what you're doing a little to close to my home ? '' She said in a stern yet cool tone . Ulva tried her hardest to not give off a a bad vibe . I mean this wolf looked like he was in dire need of some help . Not letting her guard down she relaxed her tense shoulders and continued , '' Excuse my rude words , but my camp was invading not to long ago . I've been pretty on edge since then . '' Keeping her gaze among his own she finished off by adding '' You know it's not really a good idea roaming around in this weather ... I don't usually do this but ... I have a warm and dry shelter close by , with plenty of fresh-kill as well . Would you care to stay for a while ? You seem in dire need of food and sleep . '' Excluding the fact that she was practically inviting a stranger whom she did not know what he was even capable of , Ulva just could never control her sweet , gentle , and caring side . Giving the circumstances she was willing to help almost anyone in need.

| Man, this board is so dead now. I guess I'll make this thread open to one more wolf besides you. |
Stygian could immediately tell that this wolf's personality was extremely unlike his own, and that the two weren't necessarily compatible. Of course, this wasn't going to bother him. Almost nothing was able to shake him, especially not when he was wearing his usual cheshire smirk. Pale green optical spheres watching Ulva casually as she hopped out into the open, the black beast spoke.
"Your territory, eh? I know of no packs near here. If this is just the area around your den, it looks like you need to mark the borders more often. A decent scent mark doesn't fade because of a little rain." Despite the fact that his words were less than friendly, Sty's grin never once faltered.
To be matter-of-fact, Stygian hardly considered his situation to be desperate. He always roamed, so he didn't care about not having a den when the weather turned foul... and being slightly hungry wasn't the worst. In fact, his mind was sharper when he wasn't full.
Ulva mentioned a camp. So she was living with other wolves? This area of the forest was usually pretty deserted; it would have to be a recent development or he'd have noticed it. The Eurasian wolf merely flicked his ears; her troubles meant nothing to him.
A slightly derisive laugh left Sty's jaws when the white (?) wolf offered him food and shelter as if he was a frail creature on the verge of death. "No thanks. I don't see the point of taking shelter unless this storm turns into a violent gale." Indeed, the drizzling rain was just falling gently on his pelt, and there was no wind to speak of.
"Tell you what. I wouldn't turn down a piece of meat if you really want me to stay and chat, but I've got a forest to roam otherwise."

(( ah tell me about it . I remember the good old days when this board was overflowing ))
Listening to the male speak she hung her head with shame for treating him as if he were a pup , helpless . Bringing her head back up she managed to catch the male say he would be willing to grab a bite and chat for a while before he must be on his way . Thumping her tail slytly at the somewhat social offer she nodded and beckoned for him to follow . Walking at a quick pace she made her way past a couple of bushes and followed a river bed going downward . As she shoved through some thick brush she walked out into a large clearing of thick grass , and tall rocks standing on different sides of the area . Amongst the tall stones were three large enough caves for at least four wolves .
Coming to a stop she turned her attention back to the male and spoke in a loud tone above the heavy rain " Well here we are , not much but hey I make a living out of it . Help yourself to as much as you want ..." with that said she pointed her muzzle towards a pile of fresh kill inside the first cave . Ulvas yellow eyes studied him carefully , as if she were trying to read him , after a couple of seconds she shook her now muddy fur and made her way inside the den .
(( on my phone so I'm so sorry for the choppiness ))

|Just gonna jump in here if you don't mind. Full Moon here has been as inactive as a log without anyone to RP with|
A pair of dark green eyes against a brown, grey, and white pelt. The rain-sodden fur of the female Alpha brought and unknown comfort to the mindful and kind female. It was much needed after the attack on her packmates by Craven and his territory-thirsty pack, and a cool walk in the forest not too far away from her territory was delightful to her senses and nerves. There were rarely any wolves without a pack those days, after all, and hardly and wolves at all, to be precise, and so she didn't bother masking her scent. Suddenly, a tangy scent blasted Full Moon's face. She frowned and followed it, staying downwind until she reached a pitiful sight. A black beast of a male seemed to be walked through the forest with no reasons, and it brought a pang to Moon's heart. After all, she was all about protecting other wolves and giving them a chance to thrive. That's what her pack was known for, if it was known at all. Another wolf entered the picture as Moon darted from tree to tree, staying close to the darkness to see. Finally settling her jumpy nature and instinct to burst out and greet the two, the large female crouched and watched as they conversed. Pack? Moon thought, trying to decide if she had fought the other female. Is she a part of Craven's pack? Obviously, the female was quick to let another wolf in. The other female continued on and seemed to be heading for her camp, or den, or whatever. Moon grinned and watched the male wondering what actions he would take. Of course, she was bound to be seen at some point, and she didn't want to seem like she was preparing an attack. So she stood up, standing half-hidden behind a tree so she wouldn't seem like some crazy stalker wolf.

Ulva appeared to be ashamed for how she had acted, and rightfully so. Pleased that she seemed to have realized her mistake, Stygian followed the female wolf to her living space at a trot. Water dripped slowly from his black pelt as the light rain continued to fall. Fortunately, it wasn't too long until they arrived at their destination.
Sty had never been here before. It was a fairly nice area, probably suitable for a small family or a group of allies. Of course, he wouldn't want to live here - the mere concept of settling down in one place for more than a few nights was repulsive. How would he keep up with whatever might be happening in other parts of the forest? Having a permanent den just didn't make sense.
With a nod in response to the offer of prey, Stygian barked his thanks to Ulva. He stepped toward the cave a little hesitantly - what if it was a trap? But he was able to grab a dead hare and drag it back into the open without a hitch. Still grinning, the Eurasian tore into the meat.
It was at this point that he noticed Full Moon standing nearby. (Assuming she followed them to the camp? You didn't really give me a lot to reply to.) He glanced at Ulva with amusement in his eyes. "Hey, looks like you've got a secret admirer."

Moon frowned. "Believe me," she growled defensiely. "When I say I have nolove interests in other females." The Alpha slid out from behind the tree. "And therefore I am admiring nobody. You both are cose to my boarders, and a wolf does what she can to keep her pack safe." Moon flicked an ear in greeting to them both, although she was tense in their presance.
