The aquatic creature came even closer. Baring his teeth, Stygian suddenly snapped at it with his jaws. The taste of blood filled his mouth as he killed it. Pleased by this catch, he tossed the dead fish onto the sandy lake shore.
"No, I don't know that name." He gave a nonchalant shrug. At least Fury wasn't anywhere near here. "Hey, are you hungry? I ate just a while ago."

"And let's hope it stays hat way," he muttered under his breath. His eyes followed the fish as it landed on the shore. His stomach gently reminded him it had been a bit since he had last eaten.
"A bit, but I'm not that hungry." He always had felt bad about eating food others had caught.

"Take it if you want. I'll just have to store it otherwise, and fish doesn't stay good for very long. Not to mention that the smell will draw in every scavenger nearby," said the black wolf with a small laugh. If Darago really didn't want the fish, maybe he could let it rot for a while, then use the reek to try to draw in a vulture or something.

Darago laughed at that. "I can't argue with that logic, I suppose." His stomach gave another reminder for him to eat. How convenient it was happening now and not before. He got out of the lake and shook some of the water out of his fur. The white wolf walked up to the fish and took a large bite.

Darago seemed to have no further objections to eating the fish, and Stygian allowed a silence to fall while the white wolf ate. He stared out across the lake in the meantime. It was pretty peaceful here.
After a while, his feet started to feel waterlogged, so he stepped onto the dry lakeshore and sat down. "Do you think anything lives at the bottom of this lake?" Sty mused. The body of water was quite large and seemed very deep towards the center...
