Stygian, joker that he was, had spent the entire morning messing with a young black bear. He'd stolen the beast's freshly-killed fish and then led it on a little adventure through the woods. This meant, of course, making the bear scramble over and through woodland obstacles like rotting trees and thorn bushes. If his playmate lagged too far behind, Sty would loop back and taunt it with the stolen fish some more. Eventually, however, the wolf grew bored of this game. While the black bear struggled to get through a deep patch of mud, he ran ahead and left the angry beast far behind.
Slowing to a trot, the Eurasian was looking for a place to eat his fish. But the scent of another wolf caused him to change course. A few minutes later, the other canine came into sight. Sty dropped the stolen prey to bark a greeting.
"Hello, hello. Another unfamiliar face in the forest, I see."

Sirius was always true to his name. When he felt like it. He grinned as he looked at the trees surrounding him. There was oh so many things that he could do. The black wolf never had a great sense of 'privacy' or 'common decency towards others' . In fact, those words were all but unknown to him. He was more of a 'oh look, that's funny'and 'I wonder how long it will take until they notice' type of guy. He was also rather curious so when he smelled another wolf in the area he just had to investigate.
"Now are you talking about my face or yours?" Sirius asked with a grin. The other wolf was also a black male. He sprawled himself over the ground and observed the other with gray eyes. "Because if we are talking about your face then I entirely agree."

He casually mirrored the stranger's grin with a cheshire smirk of his own. "I was mainly referring to you, actually, though we would both be unfamiliar to each other. I roam everywhere in this forest... so either you were hiding under a rock for the past season, or you just got here." Sty shrugged. It wasn't as if it truly mattered either way. Sirius didn't seem to be obnoxious, nor was he baring his teeth and preparing to spring, so chances were that they'd get along just fine.
"Anyway, my name is Stygian. Hmmm... You look like a Midnight or a Shadow to me." Guessing the other male's name was just a temporary way to keep himself amused. Titles really didn't matter out here; actions spoke louder than words ever could, but names were still a helpful way to remember a face.
