Stormfrost spotted someone in the warriors' den that he had never met before and flicked an ear as he walked over to the other tom. "Hello. Name's Stormfrost; what's your's?" He asked the dark furred tom. ( Crowwing Only)

Just his luck. The tom groaned a bit, lifting his head to the voice that was obviously calling him. Narrowing his eyes slightly, Crowwing looked at his guest. Stormfrost. A young one he was, but the tom already acted comfortable around him.
Crowwing shifted around a bit, fixing his position into something more natural. They were probably going to be here for a while anyways. "I'm Crowwing." he said, giving a small smile. "Pleasure to meet you Stormfrost."

Stormfrost looked at the older warrior and dipped his head in acknowledgement. Crowwing? Why does that name sound familiar? He wondered to himself silently, thinking that Cherryheart might have been the one to mention him. So wondering what a normal conversation starter for someone he had never met before would be he decided to stick with, "How have you been lately?" Stormfrost thought to himself for a moment, He probably thinks I'm weird. Asking how he's been when I've known nothing about him.

He caught a bit of the confusion found in Stormfrost's eyes after hearing his name. Was there a new rumor about the senior? He shook his head. It was best not to hear it anytime soon, or at least not now.
"Oh, I've been alright, I suppose." he said, licking his front paw. "I mean, other than training, there's nothing new. Just the same things everyday, but slightly different."
Giving a harder stare to the younger tom, he tried to search for an answer, but could not. "Soo. . . Stormfrost. . . how have you been lately? Are the warriors treating you well?"

It seemed that was the way everyone had their days going. Train if you're a mentor, learn if you're an apprentice. Find out something to do in between training and sleeping.
"I've been well. It looks as if I'm gaining friends and allies easier than enemies. That's of course always a good thing. The other warriors seem to be alright with my presence."
He thought for a moment before saying, "My third, fourth and fifth apprentices are still working on training. I don't know how soon their assessments will be. Plus they are learning at different rates. Do you have any apprentices?"

He laughed at Stormfrost's little observation. "Yeah, I'd rather prefer not to be anyone's enemy for Cloudclan's sake." He nodded, approving that his denmates were open to the tom.
Though fifth apprentice? At such a young age, it looked like he would be getting at least another thirty before retiring at this rate. "I have three at the moment. Jaypaw, who's ready for her ceremony, Ravenpaw, who's about to start his assessment, and then there's Wavepaw, who needs battle training."

Stormfrost kept his ears pricked forward to listen to the other tom's responses and said, "It looks like most mentors have three apprentices right now. I wonder what's with all of the kits being born continuously..." Stormfrost thought to himself for a moment. Something just doesn't add up right. Queens having the amount of kits they've had for a while now? It's rediculous. He stopped thinking about it knowing that they have their rights to privacy and he shouldn't be sticking his nose where it belongs.
The younger tom looked over at Crowwing and asked, "Do you enjoy it? I mean, do you enjoy having three apprentices at one time?" Stormfrost knew he certainly didn't. Waking up early then waking the apprentices up with their occasional foul moods and nonsense. He didn't particularly find it amusing having apprentices slouch off either.

"Not to mention the occasional four." he added, thinking about the queens and kits situation. "The more kits, the more warriors needed, but with warriors falling for mates as a top priority, we responsible warriors have to take on their load, so we'll have more in the future to mentor." he mumbled, thankful that he was halfway done with the whole mentoring situation.
"I mean, I do enjoy it, it's just the different personalities and preferences that each cat has that gets to me, so I have to learn to adapt to them too."

Stormfrost couldn't really think about a mate at this time, or so he thinks. But really if he were to have a mate he was going to wait until a friend of his became a warrior. Who knows when that will be? He said, "I'm glad we will have more mentors. Let's hope the newer warriors actually can keep up with the work load instead of slacking off. I've had apprentices come to me, asking me to mentor them because their mentors won't do it." Stormfrost knew he was one of the younger warriors but he had already successfully mentored three apprentices. Two are current warriors and the third is waiting on her ceremony. Now the other two he still had... were a different story.

He nodded, glad of the idea of having more mentors around, if they were to keep up with their tasks. "Well, that means they trust you!" he purred. "Though I do not feel bad for the old mentors. It's their loss." he shrugged.

Stormfrost nodded with a smile as his gaze shifted in a different direction. I guess they do trust me... He looked at Crowwing again. "Yeah. Mentoring, mentoring, mentoring. It will always be the same. One day someone might mentor an apprentice that does great impacting things. That will be the day I will wait for probably the rest of my life. But one can dream right?" Stormfrost shuffled his feet.
"Have you stopped talking to your apprentices once they become warriors?" He asked Crowwing, with his ears pricked up with interest.

Crowwing detected the uneasiness of Stormfrost, and began to wonder why. The whole thing about training maybe, but he'd have to get used to it.
"Every cat has the potential, really. It just depends how far they go to actually make a difference." he shrugged. Too many cats following the status quo. He would have loved to have someone actually make a name for themselves.
Hmm? He shook his head when asked about keeping in touch. "Surprisingly, none of my apprentices became warriors. Skypaw, Wolfpaw, Barkpaw, Palepaw disappeared. Well, Skypaw became ill during training, and Wolfpaw eventually returned as Wolfshadow, but we never spoke." he shrugged. "I'm hoping for Ravepaw, Jaypaw, and Wavepaw to keep in touch with me though."
He then thumped his tail. "How about your's?"

Stormfrost inhaled before saying, "Well... Ashfire is head over paws for me so I have definitely talked to her. Ivyleaf and I have talked some about apprentices and whatnot but we don't really hang out or anything. Icepaw and Flarepaw haven't been around too much but I know Flarepaw has actually been doing well in her training. And Sandpaw is done with her training so when she becomes a warrior I might be able to talk to her every and then. So yeah. It depends on which apprentices I think."
He finished that in a few breaths so unfortunately he couldn't say it all in one but then he said, "I guess some people don't like talking to their former mentors all the time because they may feel like they are still their apprentice instead of a full pledged warrior."

He listened, taking in every word the cat said. That was probably what he did best - listening.
"I guess so," he commented, "do you still speak to your mentor?"

Stormfrost shook his head. "No I don't really speak to Cheetahfur anymore. I think she's busy most of the time or off somewhere else." To be honest Stormfrost didn't think he'd speak to her for a while.
