◥ ryepaw of treeclan words: 131 | tags: --- | notes: open to anyone that rye hasn't met Ryepaw walked into the apprentices' den, still a little disappointed that her new mentor hadn't chosen to take her out training right away. Her sister, Featherpaw, was probably with Lightningstrike. So why couldn't she go with Lotuspetal? The orange apprentice sighed and decided that she had other things to focus on. Namely where she'd be sleeping - it seemed like the den was pretty crowded. Luckily, there was a small pile of nest supplies in one corner, so Rye grabbed what she needed and scanned the area for an empty space. One of the only bare patches of ground was near the opposite wall. She made her way towards it, accidentally stepping on someone's tail in the process. "Sorry!" she meowed in a muffled voice, looking back to see who it was.

Breezepaw stood near a once empty space, the area that he had made his nest in. I wonder who I'll be sleeping by. He thought, looking in both directions of his nest. One side was a wall! and one side was a barren patch. Whatever. I just hope I can train tomorrow. Hopefully I'll see Bronzeclaw by then. The black and white cat was only a little jealous that some of the other apprentices got to train immediately. He just didn't want to hear them blabbering and bragging about it later in the night. I better make some friends in this new den. I only know two other cats that consider me as a friend!
The tom continued to flatten out his bedding, making the corners stick up. Maybe he'd get some feathers for it later. Breezepaw continued to make his moss bedding look comfortable, and in doing so he'd gotten so caught up in it that he wasn't aware of Ryepaw's pawsteps in the den. Sudden pain shot through his tail, though it only lasted a few heartbeats. Breezepaw spun around instantly, and it took him a few moments to find where Ryepaw was. He sighed when he heard the cat's apology. Just one of the new apprentices, like himself. "Hey, it's okay. I'm usually super clumsy."

◥ ryepaw of treeclan words: 124 | tags: @breezemeow | notes: hello~ Tossing the nest supplies toward the empty space she'd had her eye on, Rye turned back to face Breezepaw. Wait, wasn't this one of the cats who had been promoted alongside her? At least he seemed friendly enough. "I hope I didn't hurt your tail too much or anything," she fretted briefly. Probably not; she'd gotten her tail stepped on many times before, and it wasn't broken yet or anything. The orange feline padded over to stand beside her soon-to-be nest. "I'm Ryepaw." May as well get introductions out of the way, in case Breeze hadn't caught her name at the ceremony. She definitely didn't remember his; there had been too much going on. "I guess your mentor isn't training you right away, either?"

Breezepaw smiled, his fur relaxing a bit now. "Heh, of course not!" He exclaimed, swishing his tail back and forth to show. The tom blinked a few times as he noticed where Ryepaw was standing. Is that where she's going to make her nest? It's pretty close to mine. Hey! Maybe we'll be nest-buddies! He wondered, not even knowing if there was such a thing as "nest buddies".
"Nice to meet you, Ryepaw. I think I heard that name at the ceremony. I'm Breezepaw." He purred, slightly dipping his head. Was that what you do in greetings? He looked back up at the mention of mentors. "Yeah, Bronzeclaw decided not to train today. Who is your mentor?"

◥ ryepaw of treeclan words: 128 | tags: @breezemeow | notes: --- She breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that the tom's tail was still fully functional. It would be awful if she'd accidentally sent one of her new denmates to see the medicine cats on her first day as an apprentice. With that, she started to arrange some bracken into a roughly nest-like shape. It looked like she'd be sleeping near Breezepaw, which suited her just fine. "Nice to meet you, too; I thought I saw you in the clearing." She grinned and nodded, now that she thought about it, there had been a black-and-white tom padding out of the nursery in front of her when Littlefox had called the meeting. "Lotuspetal's my mentor. I think she must have gone off to prepare a lesson for tomorrow..."

The silver she cat just had her ceremony with some of her denmates like Breezepaw, and her sister Ryepaw. She was going to make her new nest on the apprentice's den. She took some moss and tried to find a nice place to make her nest.Featherpaw heard a familiar voice,so she went on that direction. She recognized Breezepaw, one of her friends, and Ryepaw her sister and a very close friend too. "Hi Ryepaw!Congratulations!" The silver she cat purred to the orange tabby apprentice "For you too Breezepaw" she said smiling to both of them and sat down calmly on the apprentice's den ground. She always wondered how the life of an apprentice is,now she could live that moment, the time that she always waited for!

Breezepaw smiled. "Then I guess you thought correctly!" He chuckled, wondering at what time in the ceremony Ryepaw had spotted him. "Lotuspetal's your mentor? I think I saw her... The black cat, right?" He asked, thinking back to when he watched all of the apprentices touch noses with their mentors. There was a black cat among the mix, right? "Yeah, she's probably preparing a lesson. Hopefully Bronzeclaw is doing the same."
He waited to hear Ryepaw's voice again, but this time the meow came from a different cat. And the sound was familiar. Breezepaw turned to see one of the kits he had met in the nursery, now an apprentice like the two. "Yeah, thanks Featherpaw. Congratulations to you to." He finished with a small smile and a muffled purr.

◥ ryepaw of treeclan words: 172 | tags: @breezemeow & Featherpaw | notes: feather, rye already met you... this thread was gonna be for new acquaintances. With the nest's bracken frame now made, Ryepaw grabbed her moss and patted it into place. There were no feathers to place in it just yet; the apprentice made a note to collect some the next time she got a chance. It seemed like she'd be sleeping well if nothing else. The nursery had always been too stifling at night... but the apprentices' den was probably peaceful even though it seemed crowded. Cats would be tired after training all day, whereas kittens were just restless. "Yep, Lotuspetal was the black cat. What does Bronzeclaw look like? It'd be cool if we could train together sometime." The orange feline had already taken a liking to Breeze. He seemed like a kind and reasonable cat. Rye was distracted when she heard Featherpaw's voice. As much as she enjoyed talking to her sister, it was getting to be a bit much - she would have liked to spend a bit of time alone. Nevertheless, she nodded to the silvery cat. "Thanks. Your mentor is Lightningstrike, right?"

Breezepaw flattened his paw on the bedding one last time before stepping off of it. It looked good now, right? Now just to test it. The tom padded forward, gingerly setting each paw on the moss. He then sat down, and swiveled his head around to look at all of the angles of the nest. It was comfortable, but maybe some feathers would do. He smiled, noticing Ryepaw was finishing hers, too.
"Bronzeclaw, hmm. Well, I didn't spot him at the ceremony, like, at all. But I'm guessing he's brown, or golden or something. I just hope I didn't break any special rules about touching noses with your mentor!" He responded, half-worried about suffering the consequences if there were any rules about touching noses. Breezepaw shook his head. Surely he'd see Bronzeclaw in the morning, right? Worrying wouldn't help anything. He then turned to Featherpaw, a little curious to know which warrior she had gotten. So it is Lightningstrike? I've never heard of them. But it's a cool name. Maybe I'll spot him in the camp one day.
Breezepaw gave a little confused look as Featherpaw padded off. She left as abruptly as she showed up. "Oh, uh, bye Featherpaw!"

Walking into the den after a silver apprentice slipped out, Barrenpaw assumed it was just because she had to go training or some other task that apprentices did. She sniffed the entrance, knowing that there were others in here, and took in a deep breath.
'You can do this, even if it's really hard to.' she thought, trying to find the courage to go up to whoever was still in the den. Seeing that there were two cats, rather than one, she froze, and stared at the two, quickly heading for her nest.
Her little body quivered a bit, and she cursed herself. Clanmates were not supposed to suspect fear!
