Storytime at the Elder's Den (Open)

[Skypaw]

Freezeflame and Skypaw arrive the the Elder's den and enter Skypaw looks around and notices Leopardripple and approaches him "Hello, us two apprentices were wondering if you might tell us one of your stories, I love a good story" he drops a plump mouse in front of Leopardripple from the fresh kill pile "We brought some food for you as well"

[Leopardripple]

The onyx elder was in the process of grooming her fur when a apprentice walked into the den. Lifting her head, she settled down and looked at him blinking her lime green eyes "Ah hello, I would be honored to tell you a story just tell me what kind of story you would like. But I have one rule, ok two. Have prey for yourself when listening to a story, and tell me your name. I'm Leopardripple" she purred.

[Fallensnow]

Sitting at the entrance to the nursery, Fallenkit watched silently as the three apprentices made their way to the elder's den. Flicking her spotted tail back and forth, she came to a silent, decisive decision, and sprang to her paws, trotting after them. Cautiously she entered the den, quickly registering an older black cat with impressively green eyes. Fallenkit waited 'til the elder--Leopardripple, she introduced herself--had finished speaking, then crept forwards, suddenly feeling exceptionally small beside the older cats.
"Can I listen too?" she mewed, scuffing her paws and avoiding eye contact.

[Freezeflame]

"I might as well clear away your bedding while I'm here..." Freezepaw mewed, then did so. After laying new moss in the den she mewed "Oh, and I'm Freezepaw"

[Skypaw]

Skypaw heads back to the fresh kill pile and grabs a mouse for himself and when he returned replied "My name is Skypaw" he looks at the kit who followed then back at Leopardripple "Well I'd like to hear about some times you have ventured to interesting places exploring or even a war story of a fight you have been involved in, either is fine for me"

[Leopardripple]

The she-cat turned her head as she heard the voice of a kit. Smiling the elder nodded "Sure sweet heart" she said. Then as her bedding was cleared, the elder looked at her "Thank you Freezepaw." she said and then blinked her eyes as she looked at Skypaw then she smiled "Nice to meet you Skypaw." she said and then blinked as she shook her head and then tilted her head thinking.

"Mm.. ok how bout the war with Deathclan?"

[Skypaw]

Skypaw winced "Deathclan is the clan of rouges that do not follow the warrior's code right? Sure I'd love to hear that"

[Freezeflame]

Freezepaw nodded graciously, then settled herself to hear the story

[Skypaw]

Skypaw nestles down and gets comfortable preparing himself for an exciting story, he didn't know alot about deathclan but had heard mentions around the camp of it meaning there had been recently dealing with deathclan.

Fallenkit's eyes widened, her small head twitching from Skypaw to Leopardripple as Skypaw divulged information on the frightening-sounding stranger Clan. But they weren't such strangers after all... Her mother had told her about these cats, yes! This hadn't been quite so long ago.

"My mom fought them," she said out loud, startled at her own voice for a moment, then shook it off, trying to relax into her normally so forwards self. "That sounds like a great story," she added graciously, situating herself a decent distance from the apprentices, but not so far as to offend them.

Skypaw nods "When I was in the nursery I heard them say if you look at the leader of Deathclan the wrong way he will kill you where you stand just like that"

Fallenkit widened her eyes, then frowned. "What does that even mean, the wrong way? Is there a direction he doesn't like being looked at from?" she queried, in genuine curiosity.
