( KitKat Only) Otterfuzz had been walking in and out of the warriors' den pacing back and forth without the slightest idea of what to do. When he came back in he saw a new face and approached the other cat. "Hi, I'm Otterfuzz. I don't think I've met you yet. What's your name?"(I'll type more if you want I'm just low on muse at the moment)

[either way its fine~]
Dapplefire's eyes flew open, wide and wild. Bad things had been haunting her dreams the last couple of night, lurking in the darkness and clouding the edges of her dream. The bad things seemed to be trying to pull her in. Each night they were different, never quite the same, but with the same intention. Kill, kill, kill... the whispers had fallen over the landscape every few moments, closer and closer, but everywhere at the same time. Yet when she woke, she could never place her finger on what had truly happened or what the dark creatures had looked or sounded like.
Frustrated, the dainty female shook her head and took a moment to regain her bearings. She stood, stretched, and yawned all at a leisure pace, the dream still on her mind. Does it mean anything? Was the question going through her head as she leapt gracefully over stray legs and tails of sleeping warriors as she made her way to the exit.
A voice shook her out of her thoughts. Dapplefire looked up with wide blue eyes, the remains of terror and fear lacing the dusty ocean blue had not yet diminished. Otterfuzz? She held back a snort and a laugh, but instead stood there for a moment before realizing she was being impolite. She dipped her head. "That is correct. I don't believe we've met." She meowed. "Dapplefire. It's a pleasure."

Otterfuzz knew his name was entertaining and thought it fit his personality well due to him being hyper from time to time and being a little fuzzy with his attitude. He listened to her name and hadn't recalled ever hearing the prefix before. "That's a nice name and it's nice to meet you too. How are things?" He asked her.

Dapplefire nodded, and forced a small smile. Compliments usually made her smile, but it wasn't easy to be happy at a time like this. "Thank you. I like your's too." It wasn't a lie. She did like his name because it was funny. But otherwise, she thought it must have been a dreadful name to have. With everyone commenting and laughing and such... She thought with a stab of pity. She had never liked being laughed at. It had always been something she hated, and that was why she was always so reluctant to share her feelings.
"How are things?" She thought of how to respond for a moment. She didn't enjoy lying, not to mention how bad she was at it. Who cares if he knows about my bad dream, right? Would he laugh? "Just dandy." She muttered sarcastically, rolling her brilliant blue eyes. "Terrible, actually." Well, it was out. If he was going to ask her why, she'd have to tell him.
"And with you? How are things? You seem quite cheerful." Dapplefire inquired, tilting her head. His good mood had, actually, brought forth some of her own.

Otterfuzz was glad to hear she enjoyed his name but of course most everyone did. It was truly amusing. But anyway he looked over at her and flicked an ear. "Well that's not good. Why may I ask, Dapplefire? And as for myself I would say alright. A couple of apprentices but nothing big other than that." He waited for her response on how she was. Otterfuzz really didn't like that she was doing terrible, nobody should be terrible.

Dapplefire ignored the first part, deciding to answer later. "Apprentices? Ugh. Tell me about it. I've got three of the little things." She gave an amused smile. "Don't get me wrong, I love the youngsters. They just tire my out sometimes, y'know? Especially with three clambering to get my attention." She laughed again, shaking her head. "I don't know why Darkstar would give me three. Let's just say I… haven't been the most responsible with my duties. There was a period of time in which I did almost nothing. But it seems many warriors have those these days."
She shrugged. The ginger and white dappled female looked over Otterfuzz's shoulder to peer outside, noting that she had woken late. "Why am I doing terrible?" It took her a moment to decide what to say. "I… haven't been having the best of dreams." She began, looking at him once more. "Quite terrible ones, actually. They've dampened my mood these days. I just can't exactly remember what they were about." She frowned.
Dapplefire tilting her head, meeting his yellow eyes with her blue. "Do you ever have bad dreams, Otterfuzz?" She inquired curiously, one fictional eyebrow cocked.

Otterfuzz knew that this she cat didn't need anything else raining on her parade so he didn't say he had bad dreams. It's not that he was and wasn't saying that he has bad dreams but he had weird ones. Like ones with prey chasing him. I guess that's because of how much I eat. Who knows? Anyway he held his gaze toward the she cat and said, "I don't have bad dreams. Just a little odd ones. Some that deal with prey chasing me."
He hoped mentioning this would lighten her mood. It was a little funny; a warrior having dreams of mice chasing him. How easy it would be in real life just to turn around and snack on one... The tom held back a little chuckle and wondered what Dapplefire's response to his dreams would be.

Dapplefire cocked her head, a smile spreading on her face as he spoke. When he got to the last part, she burst out into laughter, her shoulders shaking. She shook her head in amusement, flicking her tail once the laugh toned down a bit. "I can just imagine that. How hilarious it would be to see." She looked out over the camp and into the territory, as if she would find a mouse chasing a warrior out there.
"Well, those sure are better then mind." She felt she could trust him. After all, he was her clanmate. He wouldn't go spreading things, would he? "All I can remember from mine are odd, shadowy creatures I could only catch glimpses of. Some of them had… had gaping mouths with sharp bloody teeth, and some were limping, and… and I remember the smell of rotting animals…" she trailed off with a shudder. "I could hear them whispering. They were saying 'kill' over and over again… coming closer, I believe. But at the same time, they were all around me. It was dark and I couldn't see. That's all I remember."

Otterfuzz's smile vanished and he nuzzled her shoulder with his muzzle. "Well don't worry. No nightmare will get you while I'm around," he informed her, wondering why cats had terrible dreams. Especially good cats that had nice attitudes. Why couldn't the evil cats get those dreams? Were they too evil to know what a bad dream is?

Dapplefire smiled in response, nuzzling him back in the crook of his neck. He smelled nice. Like moss, fresh air, and wind. She pulled back, a light smile dancing upon her lips. "Thank you. I'll keep you to it." She grinned, her happiness returning. Her blue eyes flicked towards the sky, flicking her tail against Otterfuzz's leg, as if telling him to look. "It's such a beautiful day… perhaps we could do something?"

He reapplied the smile onto his muzzle at her words and spoke, "It is a very nice day. And what do you have in mind?" Otterfuzz wanted to do whatever she wanted since it seemed polite, and he couldn't think of anything at the moment, but mainly it was to be polite.
As he waited for her response his amber eyes peered at the sky that Dapplefire had wanted him to look at. I wonder what it would be like living as a bird... You could see more of the land and you would be able to feel the wind on your fur- feathers I mean.

Dapplefire nodded, thinking. "Well' I don't know much about you. Perhaps we could take a walk and chat? About ourselves?" The concept could sound selfish, but she didn't mean it in that way. She did want to know about this new, cheerful name with an odd name and odd dreams. She hoped he felt the same way towards her, for she did not want to bore him.
[sorry for the short reply.]

Otterfuzz gave a nod at the idea. "Alright, let's do that then. It's always good to learn about clan mates." He did wonder though, why it was easy for him to talk to others. It wasn't as if he was talkative but instead friendly. People need a friend whether it was him or someone else, and if it was him, he wouldn't turn his back on them without reason. "Do you want to lead the way, Dapplefire?"(That's quite alright. )

Dapplefire nodded in agreement. She ket finding the bad dream slipping away along with her mood to be replaced with comfort and happiness. "Do you want to lead the way, Dapplefire?" She did, in fact. "Yes, that would be wonderful." The female strode towards the heather-woven exit, long tail swinging behind her. She knew just the place to go.
Once she was in the territory, the ginger and white feline headed towards the TreeClan border. She had always liked that area, for it was the only spot in all of FireClan that had trees and soft, springy soil. Nearby, where the IceClan border was, was a small creek. It had always been beautiful there.

Otterfuzz was happy that Dapplefire was so willing to take the lead for their walk together. He always enjoyed it when the ladies would take the lead... for a walk that is.... since he was never too good with his sense of direction. But anyway he padded on behind the she cat with a smile on his face.
He had never been to the creek they had arrived at and gave a small gasp at it's beauty. "Whoa. This is amazing." Otterfuzz wanted to ask how she found it but he couldn't. His eyes were distracting him by looking at the scenery.
