Bluepaw sighed as he flopped over into his nest. He had made very few friends lately, and was beyond bored. Hopefully someone would give him some company, and soon.

Thistlepaw was watching the floppy tom quietly, unsure how to proceed. He needed new friends after all. Finally, he cleared his throat. "I'm jealous, I wish my nest was so comfy looking, but the moss I was going to use for my nest took a lichen to the tree it was on and I had to leave it." He watched the tom with bright expectation, wanting laughter.

Bluepaw snorted at the random tom's horrible, horrible pun. "Wooooowww!" He said as he sat up. The tom seemed a bit younger, probably a moon or two into his apprenticeship. But he could still be a worthy friend. "I don't even have a good come back pun for that. That was just special." He said jokingly, giving the tom a smile. "Hi, I'm Bluepaw. What's your name?"

Puns had never failed him before. He should have known not to doubt them now. His new companion seemed suitably impressed. Bashful, Thistlepaw grinned. "Bluepaw, it's nice to meet you. Call me Thistlepaw, supreme pun overlord."

Bluepaw purred at the tom's comment. "Well, Pun Overlord, who is your mentor? Mine's Coyotetail. Kinda relaxed and lazy, but nice." He said, curling his tail around his paws.

"Screechsong." He offered in reply, though it was with a disappointed tone. "I haven't heard of Coyotetail before, but that's a pretty awesome name."

He had heard of Screechsong before. She seemed nice enough. The comment about Coyotetail's name made him shrug. "Yeah, but Thistle sounds more tough. And mine is just...Well not exciting." He said, giving another little shrug.

"Tough?" He repeated, flattered and happy. He was tough all right, but he supposed Bluepaw didn't need to know that. "Blue. The sky is blue, that's fairly exciting. If the sky started falling, even more so. I'm going to just call you Bluefall." He decided with a huff, not liking how easily his new friend (yes he had decided the were friends already) put himself down.
