New Den --- Open

[Amberpaw]

Amberpaw had finally been appointed to an apprentice alongside many other kits, a large majority of which were already her friends. Maybe she could chat with them about the new privileges that came along with being an apprentice or maybe even meet some of the older apprentices and possibly befriend them. The black apprentice paced around the new den checking out the new nests, walls, floors and everything. The amber eyed she-cat was fascinated by the simplest things.

❝ Turtlepaw had just moved in along with the other apprentices, most of which were friends. He raised his head once his nest was finished, dusty green eyes instantly finding that of Amberpaw. A grin grew on his face as he loped over, tail swinging happily behind him as if he were a dog. "Oi!" He called a greeting, stopping by the female. "Amberpaw! Hi! Were apprentices now." He let out a puff of breath. It seemed more real once he had actually said it.

[Amberpaw]

Amberkit heard a familiar voice of a close friend behind her. She whipped around to meet face to facd with Turtlepaw. She heard the excitement in his voice about there new positions in the clan. "Hey! I know isn't it exciting?" she asked him, extatic that the black she-cat had seen at least one of her friends from her kit days. She didn't know what the future held for her and her friend.

❝ Turtlepaw grinned and nodded. As a kitten, the fluffy male had always dreamed of becoming an apprentice, for it was the pathway to becoming a warrior. Becoming a warrior was his dream, and now it didn't seem so far off. Only a few moons of training, and he'd be there. He wondered, though, what training would be like. Would it be hard? Easy? Would it go by fast? Slow? He wanted so badly to start, but that was not an option. He was not the one to choose when to start training.

"It is." He purred, eyes wide with excitement. The new den was slightly smaller and more private. That meant that it wouldn't be as crowded as the. Nursery. He looked back at Amberpaw through the gloominess of the den. "Who's your mentor? Mines Moonshine. We haven't begun training yet." Slight disappointment hung in his deepening voice—one that would no longer sound like a kitten's—but he would not let that dampen his joyous mood.

[Amberpaw]

As Amberpaw was just about to ask Turtlepaw who his mentor was, he asked her the question first. We haven't begun training yet she said repeating his words in her head. She was glad she wasn't the only one. She hadn't even met with her mentor yet." Shadowbird. I haven't even met him." she said looking at the ground with disappointment. She didn't want to be left behind all her friends, stuck as an apprentice.

❝ Turtlepaw tilted his head, racking his brain for any mention of a warrior called Shadowbird. "I've never heard of him either." Was the male's response. Amberpaw's expression grew disappointed, he guessed for the same reason his had, and slightly sad. "Is something wrong?" He inquired.

[Amberpaw]

" Kind of. I just don't want to be left behind if I don't start training soon" She told her friend she trusted looking into his eyes. I've never heard of him were the words of Turtlepaw and they sort of made her feel a little better because she wasn't alone but if he hadn't heard of him either then who had?

[Turtlestep]

❝ Turtlepaw bit his lip. He understood his friend, for he had once felt the same way as a kitten. "How about this. I'll make you a promise." He began. "I won't become a warrior without you. I promise. Alright? I'll wait for you." He meowed sincerely, finding her amber eyes in the gloom.

[Amberpaw]

She blinked softly overwhelmed by his offer. "Are you sure? I don't want to hold you back, do you even have control over that? she said flustered with questions and over how generous one of her dear friends would be "Would you really wait for me"? she said nuzzling in his side.

[Turtlestep]

❝ Turtlepaw smiled, returning her muzzle. "Of course I would!" He purred, licking her shoulder affectionately. "It's what friends do. So don't worry."

[Amberpaw]

" I'm so thrilled to know I have great friends." she told him feeling much better and relived. He always seemed to extract her stress. She loved the vibration of his voice when he purred as she began licked him back right up his neck.

[Turtlestep]

❝ Turtlepaw smiled. "Me too." He purred, glad that he had friends, and such great ones at that. He couldn't imagine growing up without friends like the ones he had.

[Amberpaw]

Amberpaw saw the stress of the situation fading away. She lightly attempted to push Turtlepaw over. She was small and only had the mass to just move a tom like him.
