Knight stared out at a wide expanse of field. Grass stuck up in long brown stalks, concealing any creatures hiding within. Knight hadn't yet entered the field, taking refuge from the sun in the nearby trees. He hadn't been in the hot sun yet, but knew that its shine would heat him immediately. With a long glance at the field, he released a long sigh before stepping into the sunlight.
From his first step into the light, he knew it would be a warm day. He let out a small grumble and began to walk through the grass, its shade only keeping him slightly cool, but his large frame not helping in the situation. His ears remained pricked up, allowing him to hear what was around him. He took cautious, but fast paw steps, desiring to get out of the sun once again. He knew that he could have gone around, but that journey would take longer, and exploring the field may lead to interesting facts.
He had commonly traveled forests anyways and he wanted to study a different terrain, making the sun his enemy today. He gave another sigh of annoyance and kept trooping through the trees.
