(Yeah sorry I forgot Hawkbreeze was already an elder so I'm going to put it here instead of the warriors den)
Sandstep had met many of her family members already but she hadn't met her uncle, Hawkbreeze, yet. So instead of making him come out of the den she decided to pad on into the elders' den looking for him. "Hey, Hawkbreeze? Are you in here by any chance?" She called and pricked her ears forward, making sure she would be able to hear him even if he only made the faintest of sounds.

Hawkbreeze hardly left the Elders' Den. The brown and white tabby was sleeping when he heard a voice. "Huh? Yeah, I'm here. Who are you?"

Sandstep gave a blink of her eyes as she saw the elder. "I'm sorry to disturb your sleep. I'm your niece, Sandstep. Rainlight and Blackthorn's eldest daughter," she said with a small smile, wondering what Hawkbreeze would say.

Hawkbreeze was still a bit groggy, but when she mentioned his brother, he opened his eye wider. "Blackthorn had kids? HA! That must have been something strange. I can't ever imagine him having children." He sat up. "Well, it's nice to meet you."

She smiled wider as he recognized his brother's name. "Nice to meet you too." She said and instead of letting it sit in silence she thought of something to ask. "How has life been for you lately?" Sandstep asked him as she sat down to listen.

The elderly tom just gave a small shrug. "Nothing, really. I'm an elder. My life isn't all that interesting."

Sandstep thought for a moment before saying, "Well, Uncle Hawkbreeze. If ever you want to go out to the territory I'd be willing to go out there with you to keep you company or want to talk." She smiled to him.

sorry for the late reply
Hawkbreeze gave a small smile at Sandstep, giving her a nod. "That would be lovely. Thank you, Sandstep." His voice held a purr to his kin's kindness. He hadn't been treated this kindly since when he joined the Elder's Den, which, now that he thought about it, was a long time ago.
