@drought)
Bear lashed her long, thick tail. Her white belly was splaied in the sun, eyes shut. The massive she-cat lay on a sun warmed rock, enjoying the sunlight. Thoughts buzzed in her mind.

An insistent grumble from his stomach reminded Drought that he had not eaten yet that day. With a sigh, he padded from his tree-den and set out to hunt. There was an area near the swamp where mice always seemed to run about; the leader intended to go there and try his luck.
But he hadn't gone very far before he noticed a youngling laying on a rock. The black-and-white leader blinked; was this another new cat? He'd lost count of how many he'd met in the past few days.
"Hello. It's not too often that you see a DeathClanner just laying about."

A strange, unknown scent reached her nose. Then a deep voice sounded in her ears. Lifting her rather large head, she placed her eyes on a black and white tom. He smelled of tree, yet smelled of swamp. Bear lazily sat up, ears easily reaching an overhanging branch. "Greetings." She meowed, a bit of lost amusement in her voice. Bear slid from the rock and gingerly padded till she stood a fox-leinth away. Six claws from each paw dug into the earth. "Are you the famous Drought I've heard about?" The massive she-cat asked, the amusement becoming full.

Now that the peasant was sitting up, Drought could see that she was a bit larger than the average youngling. Not nearly the size of an adult, of course, but still big for her age. Odd.
"Indeed. I should hope you've heard of me; it would be quite disappointing if you didn't know your own leader," he commented with a flick of one ragged ear. "And who would you be, new blood?"

Bear smirked at the slight surprise flash in his eyes. "Yes, I am very big for my age. Hence the name Bear." She meowed dryly.
The shecat examined Drought, before stepping closer. "I'm bear." She commented, easily standing so she could rest her chin on his head. The large she-cat sniffed. She was much larger up close. The strange thing about this is, toms generally were more buff, or had more muscle then she-cats. But Bear's shoulders were wide.

| "Standing so she could rest her chin on his head"? Sorry, no. Younglings are apprentice-aged, and Drought is not a small cat. It's completely unrealistic for her to be /that/ massive at her current age. |
"I'm not deaf, peasant. You don't need to say your name more than once." Drought wasn't very impressed by this cat so far. She seemed a tad too smug for someone of her rank.
Seeing as the conversation was going nowhere fast, the leader decided that he could be doing other things. Like hunting. He gave a flick of his tail-tip and turned to head back into the bushes.

True.)
Bear snorted. "Sorry, just wanted to make sure it got through that thick skull of yours." The she-cat sat down, making a small thump.
Drought was taller than she had expected. They were about we level. @drought was taller, though. Bear sniffed as the tom turned and began to slip away. "Hey, I heard you complaining that Deathclanners don't practice battle moves much." She countered.

| Patience. Don't tag me unless it's been a week or more since my last reply. As staff, I have to do more than just roleplay when I log in. I know the thread's here and I'll get to it in my own time. |
Drought narrowed his eyes and glanced over his shoulder. "Keep it up, and you'll be following in Lyric's footsteps. Need I remind you that she was hardly allowed to leave DeathClan alive?" He ignored Bear's other comment, seeing as he had never actually said such a thing in the first place and it would be powerplaying for her to have heard about it. The leader disappeared into the foliage; presumably to check out the area he'd wanted to hunt at.

Bear puffed. "May I hunt with you?" She called after him, amber eyes frustrated. That stubborn cat!

Drought's voice drifted out of the bushes. "What, so you can have a share of whatever I catch? I don't think so." Then it faded away, and the lack of rustling noises made it apparent that he he had gone.
