Ssssoo I got this game recently. Despite the fact that it can be a bit bloodier than I'm comfortable with, I've taken a liking to it.
Thoughts on the game? What do you usually play as? My original character is a male Khajiit who's a mix of warrior, mage, and thief. I did recently start a second game since I had so many glitched quests on the first one; this time I'm playing as a female Khajiit thief.

Aaaaah the Elder Scrolls. The lot love of my life.
I'm usually an elf, though I've got a Khajiit character as well. I specialize in light armour and archery, as well as stealth/lock-picking/ect, as well as the war axe. I love the game, love the graphics and adore the free-form nature of the plot and quests.

Spidermask: I've always sorta liked the war axe designs, though dual daggers are more my thing. Are they any good in combat? Also, do you dual-wield the axes or use a shield/something else in the other hand? On another note: which guild is your favorite? I got sucked into the Dark Brotherhood and grew to love it, though I wish the quest-line ended differently. The Thieves Guild was also pretty good. College of Winterhold was a bit boring IMO, but I liked the Companions - however, I haven't figured out how to (potential spoilers? highlight to read) cure my first character of lycanthropy. As for the Bards' College... the idea didn't really appeal to me, but I plan on checking it out anyway.

My best character in Skyrim was a khajiit assassin. For the majority of the time I wielded a bow, and just sniped people from afar. Otherwise I believe I usually used a sword and shield, but now I can't even remember. I just remember running behind enemies and slitting their throat.
I like the concept of both the Dark Brotherhood and the Companions guilds, but I only ever completed the Dark Brotherhood questlines. The Companions got boring about halfway through for me, and I would have completed the one for the Thieves Guild except for..Something that may be a spoiler for you.
You mentioned wanting a dif ending for the Dark Brotherhood, and depending what you do, it technically does have two different endings. I beliiieeevveee the same goes for another guild, maybe the Thieves.
The Bards College is just...aeeghhh.

Technically it might be best to dual-wield the war axes with a shield, but I've always hated shields so I just go in swinging like crazy xD If I'm forced into close combat, that is usually what I will use, and they're actually pretty efficient. Dual daggers are awesome, but are a bit too close-range for my nature. I much prefer archery sniping.
Dark Brotherhood and the Thieve's Guild have to be my favorite Guild story-lines, and I've completed both, as well as the Companions. Spoiler, highlight. To cure Lycanthropy you need to get to the last Companion's Quest called 'Radiant'. You need to collect the heads of some witches to cure two other people, and you can collect up to five, so grab one for yourself. Then go down to Ysgramor's Tomb and you should be able to cure yourself. If you've already done this quest and missed the chance, the only way to cure it is to become a vampire instead
The Bard's Guild sounds lame enough to intrigue me, so I'm all for it xD

Cinder: Aw yiss, Khajiit assassins. As for the Dark Brotherhood, (spoilers) are you talking about killing Astrid instead of joining? I was mostly upset with the Dark Brotherhood quest-line because most of the guild members end up dying after the raid. I would've preferred for it to be possible to avoid the destruction of the original Sanctuary; the old Dawnstar Sanctuary never really appealed to me. Anyway...
Spiderleaf: I've been doing some archery on my newer character, and it's pretty fun. A nice change of pace from constantly rushing at stuff with daggers. For the Companions, (moar spoilers) I finished the quest-line, but I had only brought one witch head into the tomb. Not sure if you can become a vampire when you're already a werewolf? Lycanthropy provides a 100% (I THINK) resistance to other diseases.
Some more random things to discuss...
Thoughts on magic? I never really loved using it myself, and I hhhhaate fighting leveled mages. They're right up there with two-handed weapon users on my list of things /not/ to engage in combat.
Light armor or heavy armor? I've always preferred light armor, for several reasons.
Which platform do you play on? I have the game for Xbox, since playing on my laptop would probably make it blow up or something. The controls are also more natural this way. The one downside is that console commands (FOR GETTING RID OF THE DOZENS OF GLITCHED QUEST ITEMS) aren't available on this version.
Aaaand finally: What's the most ridiculous fight you've landed your character in? I was just playing on my new Khajiit, not far outside Riften, and somehow managed to get into a massive brawl. First there was a group of bandits, who were difficult enough to kill because I was only at level 10 or so (and hadn't really gotten anywhere in the main quest-line yet). Then some hired thugs came along, attacked the remaining bandits, and turned on me. I had just finished using all of my potions/other supplies on the last of those when I stumbled into a bear. Bears, actually, as I soon found out. A couple of wolves decided to join the pursuit while I fled for my life down towards Windhelm. A random refugee made a brave sacrifice after I blundered into him on the road; I was able to snipe down one of the bears and all the wolves as they were busy mauling him. At this point, I had to scramble up a conveniently-placed boulder to shoot the last bear without getting killed.
TL;DR: Skyrim wants to murder my character more than it usually does.

Herm Spooooilers If you choose to become a vampire lord and you are already a werewolf, the Beast Form will just disappear. According to the wiki, that is. I've never done it myself.
Definitely prefer light armour. My armour and weapons are almost always elvish make, though I'll use pretty much any kind of higher-classed arrows for my bow. While I enjoy enchanting my weapons/armour (and I loove poisons) I've never enjoyed magic either.
I'm playing on a ps3. I've never played an Xbox before, but I've always wanted to.
Ok so we had this game for a few months before I actually decided I had an interest in it. I sat down to play and asked my older brother for a few tips. Well I got through the first part on my own, however as soon as we hit the town he said 'Shoot the chicken'. So I asked why. 'For fun of course. It's a chicken, it doesn't do anything, so just kill it.' Naturally I was suspicious. Buuuuut I wanted to shoot the chicken. So I shot it. Then ENTIRE FRICKYFRACK TOWN starts chasing after me and I've only been playing this game for a few minutes. I don't know what to do. I panic and run back the way I've come until I get so lost I run across the small bandit camp near the path. Then I have them chasing me to. I gave my brother the controls and told him to deal with it. -.-
Also, every wolf that I kill gets a funeral. I carry them to a body of water and toss them in. I've wasted so much time.

Spoilers for Dark Brotherhood Questline There's a slightly different ending where instead of killing Cicero you let him live. Mostly everyone still dies, and you still do have to go to the Dawnstar Sacntuary, but I belliiieeevveee you get an extra quest or something for not killing Cicero.
I liked Destruction Magic in later levels, because then it's actually quite useful. I only ever used the Illusion spell that makes people attack the person you hit with the spell, which was handy if my assassin contract was in a larger area. I rarely bothered with Restoration magic, as I always just ate food and potions to heal rather than take away a weapon for a healing spell.
I love heavy armor for /looks/. In my opinion Daedric (Deadric?) > Dragonscale in looks. The only light armor that I absolutely adored in terms of appearance was Glass. Granted, I did use the Nightingale Armor, which is light, the majority of the time on my khajiit assassin.

Ahh yes. Skyrim. My favorite ES game.
I still haven't beat it XD.
My dad beat the whole game with all the endings.
I honestly don't understand how he has the patience to do all the quests

Spiderleaf: I'll give that a shot if I get back on my old character's file. I've decided not to use fast travel with my new character, and it makes things so much more interesting. I enjoy playing without glitched quests, anyway.
Cinder: Gotcha. I killed him the first time around because he was fairly obnoxious/creepy. Might try things the other way now, just for the sake of curiosity.
I did like healing magic, mostly because magicka regenerates. Potions and other healing items were usually reserved for important fights. Destruction magic was okay, buuuut the earlier spells always seemed completely useless to me. The only time I used it was for ranged attacks on my first character, since I never carried a bow on that one.
Owain: You should totally jump on the Skyrim bandwagon. :3
Cherryheart: Do you mean that he finished all of the guild quest-lines, or that he finished /every/ quest in the game? I'm not even sure if the latter is possible.

I completely understand that urge! The graphics in the game are beautiful, so I avoid fast travelling whenever possible. On the topic of marriage and adoption, do you plan to/have you married or adopted any children? Sometimes I simply can't help myself because: a) Hopeless romantic b) Free draugr bait if necessary

omg draugr bait.
Yeah, Skyrim's graphics are awesome. The thing about roaming around is that I tend to get completely lost (got stuck in the mountains southeast of Helgen just a while ago) and I also run into higher-leveled enemies on my less experienced character. Oh well; at least it's usually possible to scamper away if things get too hot to handle.
I've actually never married anyone on either of my games. Isn't there a quest or something to do before all that? Also, I tend to go places without any followers - they're sorta annoying to keep track of, and they like to mess up my careful sneaking in dungeons. If I was playing as the sort of character that charges right into anything, then I might consider taking someone with me.

I believe that you only have to do quests for marriage for specific characters. Like I know members of the Companions require you be so far through that quest line before marriage. Some, however, just go with it. Then you just go to riften buy a ring take it to them and then go back and be married.
Followers are extremely annoying when trying to sneak. As an assassin I tried my best never to have followers, and if I did I just usually used a bow or let them die while I hid in the shadows.
Horses, on the other hand, are fabulous. And by that I mean Shadowmere is. That poor demon horse is off punching dragons for me while the -b word- from Whiterun is just like "hey thane can I carry ur stuff? lol nvm I don't wanna"
god I love shadowmere

If it's that easy, I might get one of my characters married. Haven't decided which one yet. Also, Shadowmere's the best. But speaking of horses, it's story time. This one involves glitches. I was near Whiterun when I got into a tough fight. I used a self-made potion that restores /and/ fortifies health. Which is great and all, but apparently if you get really low on health while the fortify health effect is active, it bugs out and permanently increases your health. Which is super annoying. I didn't notice this until later, and by that point, I'd done too much to go to the prior save and reverse it. Frustrated by this, I went to go find something to kill and ran into bandits. During the fight with those, I died and glitched again - which was alright because this glitch was hilarious. If you're a Khajiit and get killed by a fireball while running a certain way, your tail flips out and goes all stretchy. :'D Anyway, back to the horse thing. I finished reverting to a previous save and killing those bandits, then went to murder their horse (because why not). While chasing the fleeing horse halfway to Falkreath, a random NPC horse rider soared sideways across the landscape and disappeared in the distance. This actually happened again after a few minutes. It looked a bit like this.Bethesda has some fantastic bugs, I'll say that much.
