Maplefrost nodded. "Yeah. He didn't seem too happy about it." The tom's whiskers gave a small twitch, and then he continued.

"There were some interesting cats at that meeting, though. My half-sister in TreeClan was there. Koisplash. She used to be the deputy of her Clan; it's too bad that she never got a chance to lead it."

"I remember hearing about Koisplash. She just outlived Beechstar, apparently. Even though she is still living." Well, that didn't make much sense, but Tanglepelt just shrugged at her comment, giving a small smile.

He returned the shrug, knowing that he wouldn't mind if Beechstar died before his half-sister. It still would've been nice to have Koisplash leading TreeClan... but it wasn't meant to be, apparently.

"FireClan's only elders seemed to have retired recently. Do you know if there are older ones and they simply chose not to attend?"

Tanglepelt shook her head. "Not to my knowledge. I know there are other cats, from what I've heard. Probably too old to get up. We had Wildwind, but, of course, she's been long gone now."

Maplefrost frowned at the mention of Wildwind. He had no idea where the old she-cat went, but he hoped she was still alive and well.

"I guess that's true. Any idea what happened to Wildwind, though? Did she just... disappear, like some of the others?"

Tanglepelt shook her head, shrugging. "I really do not have a clue. I remember talking to her when I was an apprentice and finding out she was related to me. Well, that was before I found out I wasn't really related to her." She sighed. "Family life is really confusing."

His whiskers twitched in mild amusement at this. "Oh, CloudClan, I can't even begin to trace my family lines. All I know is that they go everywhere. Apparently, I'm also related to the current leader of DeathClan."
