Heatherpaw ran into the medicine den in fear, her eye swollen shut and blood around the edges. "I'll tell you everything." The apprentice said, collapsing onto a nest. "I was out hunting on my own, and I saw a mouse. I tried to hunt it, but it saw me and ran up a tree. In that tree...was a hawk. It was staring at me with piercing amber eyes. Then one talon came down and scratched me across the eye! I tried to open it, but I'm blind in that eye!"
