I yawned as I stepped away from my den, shaking out moss from short coal striped fur. I looked around for a moment, heading towards the river would be ideal. Sticking small paws in to snatch away small salmon for a meal, but considering things were that easy, I had the chance of fighting for my meal with other greedy DeathClan members.I cast a reluctant glance to the swamp, the smell of something rotting and just the pure muck from the disgusting waters was enough to knock a cat out. Frogs and small birds swarmed the area at a usual due to the fact that they weren't the most sought after prey. Gulping down a gag at the thought of wandering towards the swamp, I trotted towards the area.Within a few minutes of jogging, I could already feel the sticky mud sucking at my feet. I tried to find the dry patches, shaking off all the yuck when possible. Stepping into another section of unavoidable mud, I went to lift my foot up, but a vine was tangled and shoving my foot down farther. I let out a rather unmanly squeak. It wasn't that I would die or anything, but it'd take an extremely long while to unstick myself from this messy situation.MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS & THQ

Vale watched as Holly entered the swamp's mucky waters. His blue eyes wandered the area before landing back on the black tom who seemed to be less then comfortably stuck in the disgusting bog. He wandered over, but obviously not into the bog. "Are we doing alright, hmmm?" He cocked his head. "A looker caught in a swamp.. Oh Darkpool this would make anyone flustered." He teased mostly. He flicked his tail and sat down. "This is actually mildly amusing. How did you manage this, exactly?" He inquired. "I thought someone such as yourself would be able to outsmart a little mud." He rose to his paws.
"See.. I could enjoy this further or assist you out. I'm not sure which.." He was rather baffled by his decisions now. Holly was a quiet fella and well maybe being stuck in a swamp was the only real way to get a sure chat from this guy. Vale hadn't heard much from him or said much to him since they were elites.
"So, how are you? It's been a while!" Vale didn't seem to care if he was uncomfortable he seemed to want to talk with him. Vale didn't often want to chat with anyone so this was sure to be a sight. "You don't talk much but if you will be here a while there's not much else to do, right?"

The scent of another DeathClan cat was blatantly obvious, even through the overwhelming scent of the bog. Apparently there were others who just loved to torture themselves. Becoming slightly frantic, I tried to shovel away some of the mud with one of my free paws. It didn't help because the soft earth just collapsed around my leg repeatedly like sand.
Gulping, I looked over to see one of the other former elites. Vale. I could easily say that this cat was well known throughout clannners and nonclanners. I wouldn't be pleased to list the reason as to why he was known, for the most parts they were sorted as "unmentionables". I nervously yanked at my foot in repeated motions.
His words were heavily surprising. I looked away from his face, embarrassed by his rather forward words. "The mud is sticky and it just... it's not like I'm a bird and can fly over these sorts of things." I wasn't going to be made fun of straight to my face. There was the fact that talking was rather unpleasant to my throat, tearing at its insides every time I ran my words on for too long. "Oi! Will you just help me? I-I can't move!"
I felt especially helpless, whining for help from Vale.MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS & THQ

"Why don't you just fly little bird." He yawned and cocked his head. "Didn't anyone ever tell you to dream?" He gave a sigh. "Do I haaaaave to?" He didn't really want to help him. He was having fun and he didn't want Holly to leave. "But if I let a caged bird go they are bound to fly away? Aren't they?" He knew Holly would probably just leave if he helped him out. Vale couldn't find a reason to help him, but then again there was only that reason not to.
"Pfft.. Fine.." He picked up a stick from the ground and clamped down on it with his jaw. His sharp teeth pierced the wooden bark. He padded over and held out the stick. "Grip on and I'll pull you out. Unless you don't trust me. Then we have a problem." His gaze was cold and challenging. Vale wasn't exactly the easiest cat to trust. Especially with his history and not to mention attitude. Vale hadn't become renown in and out of the Clans and outside places for no reason. He'd been here for a long time, lived through 4 different DeathClan leaders. Viper, Anarchy, Fallacy and now Drought. He had actually been here longer than Drought surprisingly enough. Vale had seen Viper's generals and even been around when Fuzzyink still stuck around. A cat who was a personal favourite of many.
"You have to trust me. If you don't, I will not help you." He narrowed his eyes and stayed where he was, but he reached a bit further with the stick so Holly could grab it.

I sighed, knowing the tomcat's logic wasn't exactly faulty. I shook my head at him. I didn't know him like I knew cats like Applefall or Thistlepaw, but I didn't have trouble trusting others as you'd think I would. Maybe I was a little naive, or a lot, but I had no issue giving Vale a small small to try and convince him.
My smile grew as he grabbed a stick to help. I let out a happy squeal and reached out excitedly. I stopped as he mentioned absolute trust. I frowned, trying to figure a way to show him that I'd trust him. I mean, what could he do? Would he let me grab the stick and then let go? The worst that would do would just let me sink a little more. Warmth flickered in my eyes, gazing back against the cold stare. I cocked my head to the side and grinned. "Why wouldn't I trust you? You don't look like someone who'd shove me down into the mud. Unless you like that kind of thing."
Quite the offer he gave. I guess this meant no running away. I elongated my neck and snapped down on the stick, looking over sideways at him with a sly grin. "Pull me up," I meowed through a full mouth.MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS & THQ

"Is that sarcasm? I have never been told such. I do not look trustworthy one bit and I will admit that." He snickered. "Hmm.. I could push you back in or be nice and actually tug you out." He narrowed his eyes. "The options.." He muttered. "Hmph.. I'll be nice." He tugged the stick and pulled the black tomcat out.
As the black tomcat came out of the mud he dropped the stick and gave a small grin. "See it pays to trust ol'Vale." He laughed. "Now for more important matters." He went on. "You, me, a thing? I'm not usually one for romance I mean sure I have a trillion kids but those weren't really very romantic, y'know?" He added.
"We'd be pretty great, eh."

A loud suction noise sounded before I was finally onto dry land. I almost felt the need to kiss the ground because I definitely wasn't going for a swim any time soon. I looked up to Vale, realizing how much smaller I was compared to the scarred up tomcat. Fidgeting slightly, I let my gaze fall down to my feet as I pricked my ears.
I cocked my head curiously as him. "Important matter? What happ-" I cut my own self off as Vale continued with his speech. My throat turned dry and I blinked a few times. Wait, wait, wait. Was he offering for me to...? Like be his.... mate? Significant other? I didn't even know by now.
My mouth opened and closed a multitude of times, no words coming out. I honestly didn't know how to interpret the situation. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not against it or anything. "Oh-oh... I'm not a girl and I can't um... make offspring. If you're ok with that..." I felt embarrassed as I shuffled my feet nervously.MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS & THQ
