Duskbreeze inhaled sharply and entered the warriors' den. The den where she would be sleeping from now on. Because, now she was a warrior. She looked around the hovel of unfamilar faces. Willing herself not to back away, she examined her surroundings, looking for a nest. Didn't the senior warriors sleep near the center, the warmest area? Duskbreeze wasn't exactly sure, shown by how she lingered near the entrance. She finally settled for a nest two tail-lengths from entrance and curled up in it, sweeping her tail around her so nobody could stumble on it.
"Hi," she meowed hesitantly, waiting for someone to reply. She would have to do her warrior's vigil tonight, but she still had plenty of time to match some of the unfamiliar faces to names.

Bluesplash had walked into the Warriors' Den not too long ago, right after he had spoken to Duskbreeze at her ceremony. Now he was settling down and getting ready for bed. And of course, just as his eyes closed, a familiar voice filled the den up. He smirked and raised his head. Turning to her, he gave more of a welcoming smile. "Oh, hi again." He said shyly, sitting up. "Good to see you're already settling in." He purred.

"Hey," Duskbreeze grinned at the tom, her shyness evaporating. There was someone she knew. Not someone she knew well, but nevertheless someone she knew. "Yeah," she meowed cheerfully. "So, what's happening in your life?" she added, lifting a dark brown paw and grooming it, her emerald eyes interested. "Cats been treating you good?"

Bluesplash snorted at her second question. He wasn't treated badly, but he was beyond ignored for the majority of the time. "Oh, you know, life is good. Boring so far, but good." He said, giving a little shrug. Trying to keep the conversation rolling, he moved on. "So, any of your old friends in this den yet, or were you the first one to become a warrior?" He asked, wondering what it must be like to be the first or last

"Same," the she-cat replied, with a roll of her eyes. "Nope," Duskbreeze sighed, flicking her tail. "I'm the first. But there's one or two who aren't that far behind me. You?"

Bluesplash smiled at Duskbreeze's answer. Perhaps she was taking a little pride in being the first of her friends to finish training. Her question, however, made him shake his head. "All of my old friends are either still kits, or they're gone." He said quietly, looking at his nest.

"I have a couple of friends who are still kits," Duskbreeze replied. "I'll probably be an elder by the time they're apprentices." She shook her head and laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

Bluesplash let out a little purr of amusement. "Yea, same for my old friends." He said, licking one paw. "Ssooo..Who's your mother?" He asked, totally lost for more good topics.

Duskbreeze smiled a little. "Well, it's Applefall, but I'm... adopted."

I was a senior warrior, familiar with cats of all clans, yet as I found myself ambling into the warriors den there was an unfamiliar sent. I knew I smelt it before but it didn't belong, not really. Was it a new warrior? I couldn't help but ponder upon the fact., my azure orbs shone as I was absorbed by the shadows. I was long legged and quickly made my way deeper into the area filled with nests and found my gaze resting on Bluesplash, a tom I watched get both his apprentice and warrior name, and another cat. I'd seen this she-cat have her apprentice ceremony but not her warrior ceremony. A flash of recognition rushed through my mind and I grinned, "Duskpaw? Are you lost?" I clearly was unaware of her new rank and nodded to Bluesplash in greetings as I spoke.

(Duskbreeze's turn next)
Bluesplash nodded as Duskbreeze answered his question. Applefall had always seemed pretty cool, but he was kinda interested to see what the whole adoption thing was about. however, as soon as he was about to ask her about her past, Hailstorm appeared. Perhaps it was for the better. He gave her a brisk nod to match her own to himself, although he was amused at her question for Duskbreeze.
"Actually, Hailstorm, Duskbreeze here just got her warrior ceremony. She's one of us now." He purred, glancing at Duskbreeze for approval.

Duskbreeze slightly mrrowed with amusement as Hailstorm inquired if she was lost. "Yup." she grinned, revealing white, even teeth, as she confirmed Bluesplash's explanation. "I've got a new apprentice too, Darkpaw. I've just started training him."

I couldn't help but allow a melodious chuckle dance from the tip of my tongue. "Ahh, Duskbreeze. What a nice name." I complimented with a raise of my brow, my long legged body traveled to my nest located in the middle of the den, because I was a senior warrior as I got older my nest moved closer and closer to the center of the den. I was lucky enough to be engulfed in heat every night while the younger warriors shivered on the outside of the circle. "Welcome to the den Duskbreeze. Eventually you'll age and find a much warmer spot." I stretched out my long transparent claws, my clear blue orbs tracing over Bluesplash and then Duskbreeze. Despite my age I looked incredibly young with a youthful body, I licked my snowy chest with a blood red tongue, my sharp featured face was neatly groomed as was my short fur. Even sitting I often was seen as a tall warrior thanks to my half FireClan blood and couldn't help but straighten my back making myself seem even taller. I was waiting my nest to warm up before I curled my long body into the moss.

"Yes, I think it's a nice name too." Duskbreeze smiled. There was a subtle lilt in her voice, enhanced when the pretty she-cat smiled at the white and grey she-cat. Usually she wasn't this friendly with cats she didn't know that well, but one of the effecrs of her warrior ceremony seemed to be temporarily extinguishing her shyness, replacing it with confidence and making her charismatic, even. As Hailstorm padded towards the centre of the den, she wondered why, and then chided herself. Obviously Hailstorm wouldn't be sleeping near her. The blue-eyed she-cat was one of the senior warriors, and she should feel flattered Hailstorm was welcoming her. Most of the senior warriors didn't interact that much at all with the younger ones.
"Thanks for the warm welcome," she said, shrugging her small shoulders almost involuntarily. She flashed the senior warrior a entrancing grin and settled herself in her nest, crouching. Her emerald eyes traveled around the warriors' den and she hoped she would be able to match names to the unfamiliar faces surrounding her soon. Well, at least she had Turtlestep and Littleflower, although Turtlestep was mad at her, and this made a fresh thought amble into her mind. Would Turtlestep ever forgive her? Their conversations were somewhat polite, but... forced.
