the moon will continue to shine Moonshine had just returned from the medicine cat's den. Littlefox had told her that she was going to have kits. The silver tabby just couldn't believe her ears. Her a mother?! Yet it was true. It definitely explained the discomfort she had been feeling in her side for sometime. I'm going to be a mother... Her green eyes looked around the warrior's den, a slight pang filled her heart. Now that she was expecting kits, she would be moving into the nursery for a while. Moonshine knew that it wouldn't be for forever, yet it still would be a great change. The tabby layed down in her mossy nest breathing in the familiar scent, letting it wash over her. Moonshine remembered the night that she had been first made a warrior. That seemed like forever ago, yet it had really only been a couple of moons. Duskbreeze beamed back at the pregnant she-cat. She briefly wondered who would be the father of the kits. Her curiosity was only natural. Most kits didn't know who their father was.
"Hiya," she replied to her former mentor. Moonshine was so sweet, she deserved to have kits. They were a gift... and annoying too. She drew her attention back to the green-eyed she-cat. "So, kits, huh?" she meowed. "I'm going to miss you. But you totally deserve kits." she purred.

the moon will continue to shine Moonshine's smile increased when she caught sight of her former apprentice. It had been a while since Duskbreeze had been named a warrior, yet this was the first time the tabby had spoken with the new warrior since training.  "Thank you so much Duskp- breeze." The she-cat stuttered when she remembered that she was no longer an apprentice.  "Sorry about that. I just forgot that you're a warrior now." Moonshine drew in a deep breath, letting the cool air fill her lungs. She felt a slight twinge in her side, and drew her long tail tighter around her body. Duskbreeze purred as she saw Moonshine's smile broaden.
"No problem." she meowed, waving her tail dismissively. She tilted her head slightly when Moonshine nearly called her by her former name. "It's fine." she grinned. "I would forget I'm a warrior too." Her smile widened as Moonshine enquired how she had been. It was nice to know that cats cared about her.
"It's been great." she purred. "I miss my friends, but hey, they're still my friends, huh?" she grinned. "And most of them'll be joining me in the warriors' den soon." She turned the subject back to Moonshine's pregnancy. "Is Crypticwolf the father?" she meowed knowingly. She had seen the mysterious tom chatting up the silver tabby she-cat all too many times.

[Briarpelt]

Briarpelt narrowed her eyes. "See you, Moonshine." Slightly jealous, she tilted her head. "Have a good time." She muttered.

the moon will continue to shine Moonshine smiled and laughed a little. It was nice to see that her old apprentice still had that inquisitive nature about her. "Yes Crypticwolf is the father, although he doesn't know that quite yet." The tabby had along found out earlier that day, so she hadn't had a chance to tell the tom about it. Moonshine froze as a familiar yet foreign voice called out to her. She twisted her head to find the familiar silver tabby pelt of Briarpelt. The fur along her spine bristled slightly before lying flat once more. I guess she finally earned her warrior name again. However the hostility that Briarpelt seemed to have had obviously not faded. Moonshine pulled her tail tighter around herself. She put on a fake smile, trying to hide her irritation. "Oh Briarpelt, it's been a while hasn't it?" Duskbreeze laughed slightly. She'd like to be a bird on a branch nearby when Moonshine told him the news. Would he be happy, grossed out? It was anyone's guess. She turned her attention to the cat Moonshine named Briarpelt. It was kinda obvious her former mentor and the silver tabby had a grudge, to say the least. Her eyes widened slightly as Moonshine's fur bristled a little.
"Hi, Briarpelt is it?" she meowed amiably, giving the green-eyed she-cat a smile. "I bet you and Crypticwolf's kits will be so cute!" she purred, flicking her tail. "Do you know how many yet?"

[Briarpelt]

Briarpelt's fur bristled and she let out a dark hiss. "Whatever." Growling, she added to Duskbreeze:
"I bet they'll be disgusting."

Duskbreeze had to stop herself from clawing Briarpelt to pieces. Having kits was no doubt a wonderful experience, and nobody should ruin it, especially not for a super sweet and kind she-cat who was nice to everyone.
"How could kits be disgusting?" she meowed, keeping her voice polite. "They're adorable, although they can be a pawful." She had been quite stubborn herself as a kit and she wondered what the queens had thought of her then.

the moon will continue to shine Moonshine narrowed her green eyes. She couldn't help the fact that she wanted to rip Briarpelt to shreds. Yet she didn't. She didn't even move a muscle in response. Instead, the she-cat simply smiled. "I'm sure that they won't be disgusting, Briarpelt. In fact, like Duskbreeze just said, they'll be adorable." Of course they would be cute, they were kits after all. And being a pawful also came with that package. Moonshine knew this as she had often seen the queens both complaining about how rambancsious the kits were, though they also always talked about how cute they were as well.
