Turtlepaw yawned as dim light filtered through the den. As usual, now, the sky was covered in thick, dark clouds promising rain—or snow. His friend had left him for the warriors den, and he supposed Littlepaw was out training. Like I should be. He thought, frustration flaring for a brief moment. Besides, it would be a good day to meet some of the other apprentices that shared his den. Speaking of, he heard paw steps behind him just as he began to groom his long, white fur. He couldn't see the feline through the gloomy darkness of the den, so instead he called out. "Hello."
