S & S Silverpaw peeked through the entrance of the apprentices and nervously stepped into the den, her weary blue eyes searching the den for any signs of movement. Sighing, she padded across the soft leafy floor and found a nice spot where she might be able to start a nest. Trotting across the clearing, she collected some dry moss and brought it back to her spot, her chin up high and her tail as well. She set it down neatly and studied it, something was missing.She twisted her head from side to side and found a clump of feathers. Eyes lighting up, she grabbed a mouth full and spat them out onto her moss bed before spreading them gently with her paw along the inside of her bed.
As she finished her new master piece, she looked around the den some more, noticing it was not as warm as the nursery. The winters will be harsh for sure. She thought. It was bad enough in the nursery but now...No. She told herself, I'm older now and I don't need to think like a kit any longer, I have to be tough if I am to survive.
She sat her hindquarters down on the bed and stared at the entrance, where was Swallowpaw? Out training? Hunting? She tilted her head as she heard paw steps coming towards the den, her ears perked up and she hoped that that was her friend coming through.

|| Hello! ||
As if Silverpaw had commanded him, Swallowpaw came padding into the den gingerly, moss swinging from his tiny jaws. He looked around nervously, and at the sight of Silverpaw, he almost looked relieved and dropped the moss, padding forward to greet his friend. "S-Silverpaw! I'm so glad to see you. Have you made your nest yet?" He asked, realizing he hadn't stuttered. I hardly stutter around her. I wonder why. Maybe because I trust her more than any other cat. Shrugging, the tabby feline went back to his dried moss and dragged it inside, plopping it neatly in an empty spot near his friend's. There were a lot of empty spots in this den really, which the apprentice hadn't expected. It'll be freezing soon, too! Well, I'll survive. He thought, patting down the moss in a cat sized circle.
Once he was done, Swallowpaw decided he would add feathers to it later. And returned to Silverpaw. "Have y-you trained yet? I've been out once with Hailsong. Wh-who was your mentor again?" He asked, having no clue why he was being so talkative. The tom returned his eyes to the ground. Why exactly am I talking so much? I shouldn't be, should I? I should stay quiet more. Yeah, I like it better that way. He thought, even though he had a burst of talkative energy. Maybe because I don't talk often, now I'm trying to get my voice out, which is stupid. Swallowpaw scolded himself, and turned back to Silverpaw, wondering if she was settling in now. I still have to meet her friends. I think that's one of the only ways I'll be able to get any! Pff, what am I saying? They won't even like me.

S & S Silverpaw perked up as she saw Swallowpaw walk in, she went up to hi and greeted him purring. She heard his question and noticed he had barely shuttered, glad to see her friend in such a good mood she replied, " I have, would you like to make a nest next to mine? Theres plenty of room!" She keep her tail and ears high as she enjoyed the feeling of being an apprentice.
Silverpaw shock her head, "Sadly no." She replied, "My mentors Rivershade! Hailsong... Thats such a pretty name!" She sat down next to her friend and decided to ask him a question of her own, "What did your mentor teach you the first day? Hunting or fighting?" She hoped it would be hunting because she wanted to be that one cat who learned it first, sure she knew other cat learned it, but she wanted to be the best, she didn't really care about hunting that much. As she waited for a reply she licked her paw, she had stubbed it this morning from trying to practice some battle moves on her own, which she had to admit, she was a bit rusty.
After tending to her paw, her blue eyes drifted back to Swallowpaw and she noticed that he had actually grown some more, I wonder if I've gotten bigger? They were both very small as kits and it was hard, at least for her, because most cats wouldn't even see her while she was walking,

Swallowpaw purred, and lightly dragged his nest closer to Silverpaw's. "Y-yeah, thanks." He meowed, noticing how she kept her ears and tail high. She's probably just excited to be an apprentice! I can hardly believe it myself. He thought, concentrating on a beetle not to far away as she was speaking. "Well I'm sure y-you'll go tr-training soon." He paused before continuing. "Yeah, Rivershade's a nice name t-too. H-Hailsong's really nice, or she s-seems nice." The tabby shook his head at her next comment. "We just viewed the t-territories. IceClan is HUGE! I hope I learn b-battle next!" Swallowpaw exclaimed with a grin, flexing his small claws in and out of the ground.
He blinked at his nest a few times, relishing in the silence before looking back to Silverpaw. He had noticed, too, that she had grown since the nursery. I sure hope I've grown. I'd hate to stay small forever! He thought with annoyance, almost starting to pray to CloudClan that he wouldn't stay small. Wanting to rid the silence and change the topic, the tabby apprentice spoke again. "So, what are you most excited about in training?"

S & S, "I really like her name too." She replied purring loudly, "Really! Oh I hope I can see the territory soon! Battling training! I love to fight!" She let out a mrrow of amusement as she heard how much they had in similar and saw that he too was studying how much she had grown, I guess we both notice the same thing then. "I'm really looking forward to battle training too! I want to learn some great moves so I can fight the other clans!" She imagined herself fighting on the bloody battle field and felt a wave of excitement rush through her body, fighting was going to be the best! No one cares about hunting, well they do, but so what! Without fighting Iceclan would be nothing. It would still be under the control of Deathclan and they wouldn't have four clans. For Cloudclan sake, fighting ran the clans!
She paused her thoughts, Now what have the warriors taught you, fighting is not some kit play, It's really serious, and your not a kit anymore! She scolded herself. She returned to the real world and asked Swallowkit, "Do you like hunting or fighting better? You know like which one do you think is more needed?" He would most likely say hunting because it is what feeds them, but Silverpaw had her own opinions.

"W-wow. We have a lot in common." Swallowpaw smirked, swishing his tail around. "I can't wait to fight in a real battle! Can you imagine? It'd be great!" He grinned and crouched down as if he would pounce on an enemy. No clan could ever stand against IceClan. Yes, we're the strongest clan there is and ever will be! He thought of all of the strong warriors he had seen in the camp. Do the other clans have strong warriors too? Then the tabby gasped. "Hey! We can go to gatherings now that we're apprentice aged, right? How cool will that be?" He asked, excitement now bubbling through him. After a few moments his ears picked up the sound of Silverpaw meowing again, and he backed up and sat back down again. "Hmm. I think I like battle more. And, both are important. I would probably pick battle. That way, you could fight off another clan and once they were defeated, take all of their prey!" He pretending to snarl, but it just ended up in a giggle.
"I'm just kidding. I'd still pick battle, but for other reasons like fighting off foxes or badgers." That's what they're called, right? Swallowpaw had only heard nursery tales of the ferocious beasts. The tom daydreamed for a moment, but snapped back as he realized something. "Silverpaw! I'm not stuttering!" He exclaimed, insides filling with joy. Maybe he would turn out to be a normal cat.

S & S Silverpaw nodded as she heard the tom speak, "I can't wait until there's another fight! Then we could show the other clans what Iceclan is made of!" She noticed something, he wasn't stuttering! She heard him state these words himself and she rested her tail on her friends shoulder and said meaning every word, "That's great! I'm so happy for you! Maybe now would be a good time to introduce you to Hawkkit!" Hawkkit was her other bestest friend and she couldn't wait for the two to meet! She hoped that they could all become friends! It would be so great, the three of them being buddies all she could do is imagine.

|| haha same here. ||
Swallowpaw nodded with a grin. "We would be the toughest fighters out there!" He replied, imagining the excitement of battle, the feeling of another cat under his claws... He shook back with a laugh and turned to Silverpaw as she rested her tail on him. "Yes, I'd love that. Do you have any idea when he'll get his ceremony?" He asked wondering if it'd be anytime soon. If we met, I'd probably mess up and stutter. I hope that doesn't happen. He thought, though he knew he was bound to all of a sudden get shy again. "Anyway, when do you think Rivershade will take you out? The borders are amazing. You'll have to see them!"

S & S, Silverkit nodded with determination at Swallowkit's statement about being the best fighters. "I'm pretty sure he'll be getting it soon, he is 3 moons already." Silverkit shrugged, "I'm just hoping she'll take me out soon, I would really love to learn battle skills! The borders huh... I've never really gone that far without the queens scolding me. I'll have to ask Rivershade about that for sure!"
As she thought she stared into her friends eyes and asked, "Have you ever explored the clan territory when you were a kit? I know I did, no matter what I was that one kit who always got in trouble with the queens, even my adopted mom." Silverkit had been adopted as kit and was basically left to die by her family until Iceclan was kind enough to let her join their clan. (Just a little history for you in case you didn't know X3) She had always thought of family as worth less, all she can remember is how much her mother did love her and thats why she was always confused on why she would leave her. It just didn't add up. She wondered almost every day if her mother would come back and bring her home, where ever it was, she bet it was some place beautiful like in a lush green forest with tons of prey to stuff your faces with each night...

"Th-three moons? Yeah, it-it won't be long." He meowed, nodding enthusiastically as she spoke again. "Yes yes- they're so cool!" He paused, remembering how when they visited TreeClan, there started to be more trees and more and more undergrowth. I'd hate to live there, not seeing the sky! He thought, hardly noticing Silverpaw's blue eyes boring into his. "When I was a kit? N-no, I was way too timid. You actually went out? Silverpaw, no wonder you got into trouble!" He said with a small laugh. Swallowpaw hardly noticed that she said 'adopted' mother, but he remembered from a past conversation that she said she wasn't full-blood. I hope she doesn't want to go back. To where she came from- that is. I'd miss her. He thought, remembering that he only knew like three other cats.
Swallowpaw took a glance out of the den- there on the fresh kill pile rested a large pigeon. Looking at both of their nests, the tabby turned to the she-cat. "There's a bird on the prey heap. Would you like to add some feathers to your nest? It's sort of uncomfortable without any."

Low Tolerance, Silverpaw giggled at his comment, she had got into tons of trouble with the queens! "I guess I didn't understand the warrior code fully when I was kit, I mean I had just started to respect it, it was even harder to learn it." She turned her silver head and stared at the feathered bird. Those feathers do look soft... She thought with yearning. "Sounds great! I'll get the bird!" She trotted lightly over to the fresh kill pile and searched for the bird. Ah ha! There it is! She picked it up and turned around to set off for Swallowpaw again. She set it down in front of him and smiled. She bent over and began to pluck off feathers, careful not to rip though because they they would be no good, having a bit of bird on the end, yuck!
She began to make a pill, one for Swallowpaw and one for herself. When she had finished she dipped her head and meowed playfully, "It is done my lord." She bowed down and waited for his judgement. He could say anything he wanted mostly because it was just a game. She hoped he would get it and play along because he would most likely feel more welcomed than usual. Playing made every cat, even the oldest, feel happy.

"I don't even understand the warrior code! I just didn't get in trouble because I was too timid." Swallowpaw meowed, hardly noticing that Silverpaw had already set off. The tabby tom stood up and padded closer to the den entrance right when his friend came in and set it down in front of him. "Oh-th-thanks." He meowed, watching her make the piles. He was going to help out but it looked like Silverpaw had it down pat. He rolled his eyes at her remark. "Thank you, m'lady." He did a similar bow and laughed.
Swallowpaw then took a few feathers from his pile and surrounded his nest with them, making the feathers stick out as if there was a squashed bird under his nest. He went over to Silverpaw's pile and did the same to her nest, and added a little extra feathers. "We should both be warm at night now." He meowed, looking over at the nests of the other apprentices. They'll be freezing! He thought, shivering. "What would you like to do now?"

|| Sorry I haven't been on for a while! ||
Silverpaw nodded understandingly, "The warrior code is very frustrating to learn. It takes time and wisdom. Which I have none of!" She giggled as she insulted herself, it was so true though! She heard him shudder and thought He's still getting better... Thank you. She dipped her head said in a proper voice, "No problem your majesty." She then broke character and nodded with excitement. They would sleep warm tonight! The feathers made both the nests look so warm and welcoming. She would sleep now but she wasn't tired! Not even a bit! She looked around and answered, "Maybe we could go around the territory and find a nice warm patch to relax and share toughens!" She had always loved talking with some cat in a warm patch of sun, just chilling out, away from any other cat... Ahh yes now was the best time of the season because when it's cold that means snuggle time too!
She waited for a reply and licked her front paw. It had been hurt during training and she couldn't shake off the feeling of pain. Even if it was just a little stub on a tree branch. She sighed and allowed her brilliant blue eyes to meet his gently.

|| No no it's fine! Take all the time you need. I hardly have any muse lately anyway >.< ||
"Hm. Maybe you don't have wisdom but you do have time." Swallowpaw replied, indicating that they were only young apprentices. He rolled his eyes at her remark. "'your majesty'? What's that all about?" He snickered, nudging Silverpaw with a paw. At the mention of going out in the territory, he nodded, followed by a purr. "That'd be great! There aren't many warm places in IceClan, though we could still search!" He exclaimed, greatful for having semi-long fur. Maybe the cold weather meant more snuggles. Yipee.
He was about to wait for a reply, and silently watched her groom her paw. Did she just flinch? "Did you hurt your paw? That never feels good. Do you need to see the medicine cats or is it just a scratch?" Swallowpaw asked with a hint of worry, assuming that her paw was hurting.

|| Sorry I haven't posted for so long... Again ||
Silverpaw nodded and meowed with hope in her voice, "I'm sure if we really search we can find the perfect place!" She noticed that he had seen her lick her injured paw and asked if she needed to see the medicine cat. She quickly stood straight on all her paws, pain gleaming in her frosty blue eyes, "I'm find, I think It's just a scratch, now lets go!" She said this with as much excitement as possible as she darted near the entrance of the camp, waving her tail for Swallowpaw to follow.
She made her way into the forest, tail high and went long with a paced trot showing that she was in no big hurry. She glanced over her shoulder and decided to yowl, "Come on you slow poke!" She began to speed up teasingly until she stopped quickly and saw a big rock with a patch of sunlight on it. She looked at Swallowpaw hoping he had seen it too, and went over to it soaking up all she could that was of the warmth. Her muscles became untense as she sat down on the warm but not hot stone. "Come on! I think I found the perfect spot!" And perfect it was, it supplied everything they could need in the winter. this brought back memories or her kit hood when her mother would groom her soft fluffy fur and tell her stories of adventures she had gone on when she was younger.
