[Dapplepaw]

Dapplepaw nudged her way into the apprentices' den, peering around for an unoccupied spot.  She hoped she could find a place to sleep close to Swallowpaw, but she'd never been in here before and she didn't have any idea where his nest was!  There were other apprentices shuffling or snoozing in their own nests, but she couldn't see her friend's familiar tabby fur anywhere.  She didn't realize she was standing straight in the middle of the entrance until she heard pawsteps behind her, and skittered out of the way, head and tail down.  The last thing she wanted was to trip up an older cat her first night as an apprentice!

Swallowpaw, after completing a day of training, went to the apprentice's den. He decided he would either take a nap, or meet and congratulate some of the new apprentices. That was unlikely, though. Reaching the den he chuckled as he noticed his friend standing in the way, and laughed even more as she skittered out. "D-Dapplepaw! It's j-just me." He meowed with a purr, trotting closer to the calico and rubbing her ear in greeting. He stepped back and took a look into the den. "H-have you settled in yet? D-Do you h-have a nest?"

Dapplepaw purred loudly and nudged him back.  "I haven't found one yet," she murmured.  "I wasn't sure if where exactly there was an empty spot."  She paused, debating whether or not she wanted to ask if she could sleep next to him.  Probably not, she decided.  She didn't want to push anything too far.  "I just got in after my ceremony.  Did you see me get my name?" She danced on the spot, overcome with excitement.
