Lionpaw padded slowly into the apprentice’s den, her clear, blue eyes, slowly surveying the various huddled mounds or fur, her golden fur lined paws taking care to avoid any sharp stone or roots. lifter her head, she scanned the den for the new apprentices, promoted only recently, she was here to scout out the newbies, estimate their potential, and, just maybe make a friend or to. - I haven't role-played in at least 3 months, so as you see, my role-playing is more then a little rusty.

Halfpaw raised his head from his nest, resting his gold eyes on who he was informed to be his half sister. Hah, that was funny. Halfpaws half sister. At least he thought it was funny. He got to his paws and stretched the cold ache from his bones before mewling to her, "Hello you must be Lionpaw, right? I'm Halfpaw." He spoke, shaking bits of moss from his long fur all the while. "Are you also looking for Glowingpaw? I'm pretty sure he's doting to the elders right about now." He continued, a bit of a shiver running down his spine. He wouldn't want to give the older warriors a tick bath..

Himmm...She didn't know this one, he must be one of the newly promoted apprentices...Strange name though, what sort of mother would name her child "Halfkit"? Completely ignoring the grey tome apprentice's inquiry's, Lion decided to put her question into into words. "Why are you named Halfpaw?" She mewed bluntly, "Its an odd name for one with a full body"

Hm. No one had ever asked him that one before, though she almost sounded judgmental in her tone. Maybe she was just really blunt. "I couldn't really tell you, honestly. You think I'd be named that if I had half a tail or half a face or something..Ask our mother. She would know more than anyone." He said with a small chuckle, trying to bring in a light atmosphere.

"Himmm...Strange mother" she mewed, masking her genuine interest in the peculiar name in a layer of boredom, "Tell me, Halfpaw, have you ever wished for a name other then the one given to you?" She mewed in a idle tone.
