Starlingkit flicked his tail, gazing about at the empty camp as if wishing for it suddenly be filled with happy cats and friends to call his own. But he knew as well as anyone else that that would only happen through hard work and conversations.
His ears flattened against his skull as a cool breeze passed over his thick fur. He was fortunate to be able to call his own furry hide protection against the elements. Others were not so fortunate.
His greenish blue eyes fluttered once more throughout the ghostly camp only to find at least one occupant sitting alone. He tilted his head and gotto his paws, running over with a light smile.
"Hello! Good morning!" He called out loudly.

Naurekit sat alone near a couple of rocks, not being able to find any of her friends. She never really realized how lonely it could get when there weren't any other cats around. Naturekit was pulled out of her reverie when she heard another cat call out to her. She turned and saw small tom she had never met before. "Hello. I'm Naturekit. What's your name?" Naturekit replied with a small smile. Maybe today she would make another friend.

Starlingkit waved his tail in greeting and clambered his way up the rocks so that he could join the kit. He now recognized that she was female with a brown tabby coat and amber eyes that seemed to contrast with his blue pelt and light eyes.
"My name is Starlingkit, wonderful to meet you!" He said happily as he sat in front of her.
"What're you doing up here?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

"Nice to meet you, Starlingkit!" Naturekit replied. What an interesting name...I've never heard that before... she thought. "Well, I was just lonely, I guess. I couldn't find any of my other friends..." Naturekit looked back out to the nursery, but it remained empty. Then she turned back to Starlingkit and smiled. "Thank you for coming up here, though. I love making new friends!" she exclaimed with a grin. "I wonder where all the other kits are, though. They're usually playing out here..." she wondered aloud.

He perked his ears and shrugged, "It's no problem, really. I haven't really made any friends yet so the pleasure is all mine." He purred going from hesitant and a bit solemn to happy and excited. "I don't really know where the other kits are but they're sure missing out!" He said with a grin.
"So, since I know your name. What kind of warrior name do you want? Nature is a pretty name and I'm sure you'd be able to come up with tons of great names. Naturewind sounds really mystic, or maybe Natureheart or Naturelight." He thought about his own name and how it was after a blue and black bird. He band really thought of any of his own warrior names.

Naturekit smiled. "Thanks," she replied in a quiet voice. No one had really ever complimented her on her name before. "Well, actually, I had thought about Naturewind. You see, I heard about an old warrior named Naturewind who used to live here in Ice Clan, but she just disappeared one day...But anyway, I really liked her name and everything, so I'd like to have Naturewind as my warrior name. What about you? Starling is pretty unique. I've never heard a name like that before." Naturekit realized she had begun to ramble, so she went ahead and finished her thought quickly. I really need to stop doing that, she thought.
(my first account on here was Naturewind of Ice Clan, so that's pretty funny that you mentioned that! XD )

Starling shrugged and shuffled his paws with a sheepish grin. "Starling isn't that unique. A starling is a type of bird or so I was taught. They have bluish feather with black and I suppose that's what I was named after." He said looking at his blue colored pelt and black stripes. "I like the name Starlingheart the most. But maybe something like Starlingfeather or Starlingwing." He added with a thoughtful look.

"That's cool!" Naturekit replied. She had never heard of a starling before, so it seemed unique to her anyway. Then Naturekit grinned. "I Naturewind, command you to become Starlingheart, the Brave Starling of Ice Clan!" she said dramatically, pretending to hold a ceremony for him. "Protect our clan and keep our enemies at bay!"

Starling felt a warmth spread through him at such a compliment even if they were playing now. He quivered and sprung to his paws, "I shall fight for anyone in need; friend or foe, young or old!" He cheered. He gave a playful growl before bunching up his legs and pouncing at Naturekit. "Even if the one attacking is a friend!" He called as he tackled.

Naturekit screamed playfully as he tackled her. "Well, you better be a good fighter, because I can take you down!" she challenged. Naturekit pushed against Starling and rolled, trying to tackle him back, but this wasn't as easy as it looked. At least I'll have plenty of training before I become a warrior, she thought optimistically.

Starling felt them roll over and he was suddenly pinned. He started to kick with his back paws trying to both kick her off and knock out her back legs. He then let his front legs wrap around her head and he pulled her closer. "Headlock!" He yowled. Starlingkit was only doing whatever came to his mind, if it looked good in his head he was sure to do it. He couldn't wait to show off as an apprentice.

"Oof!" Naturekit felt Starling kick her. She was about to jump off and attack when he grabbed her in a headlock! "Hey!" she yelled with a smile. Naturekit wriggled her head out of his arms and faced him. Thank you, Cloud Clan, for giving me a small head, she thought gratefully. "Air attack!" Naturekit screamed as she jumped and landed on Starlingkit. "Haha!" she taunted. "You'll never get out of my grasp!"
