GreenflareA loud curse echoed through the den in a way that made it seem emptier than it was. Shaking off the pain that coursed in her face from where she had run into the side of the den, the young warrior padded ever-so solemnly into the warriors den.
Things hadn't been right for moons. Her mother died, her best and only friend died, her father figure died, and her real father was exiled.
What a messed up life, Creeksong thought, curling up in her nest near the back of the den.
It wasn't that she was upset about their deaths of her father's exile, but she was tired of the loneliness. Greenflare had taken care of her when her mother had other kits to pay attention to and her father was off making more babies or enemies or whatever. Really, she just wanted a little company.
Sleep came slow and painfully, but eventually, she found herself in the world of dreams. But, the weird thing was, it didn't feel like a dream. And the feline in front of her looked all to real to just be a recreation of memories. Greenflare..?

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Greenflare was planning on another trip to the real world. He had left behind a few cats from his life that he cared about. One in particular was Creeksong. The black tom remembered meeting her. He loved her like he had loved Tuftfeather. He was her father when her father was not there. And, when Skywing tried to make up for that, she still liked Greenflare better. Maybe that fueled more of the tom's hate for him, but he didn't care. He made a relationship with a great cat.
When her father killed him, Greenflare had not realized how many cats he left. To make up for the time he had been away from them, he decided he'd come into Creeksong's dream. She was beginning to fall asleep when he came to her dream. He stood as she appeared before him, a smile on his face. It was small, but it was real and genuine.
"Hello, Creeksong. It's been a long time." he meowed, a purr rumbling from his throat.

A small cry escaped her throat. "G-greenflare..."
Without a second thought, Creeksong bounded forward, making it to the tom in only a few seconds. Her body felt abnormally light, as if nothing was holding her to the ground, and she couldn't help but smile at the black tom standing before her. It had been so long; too long, in fact. Just seeing the familiar feline made her tear up.
A wet feeling in her eyes confirmed this, but she was still smiling. He didn't look the way the dead on the ground did: a state in which not a trace of life was present, and a blankness that could chill the bone. Wherever she was, she supposed the border of CloudClan, it seemed that the dead retained whatever form they seemed perfection.
"Greenflare, I'm so sorry my f-father did this..." she stammered out, hesitating greatly on the word father. She couldn't catch his gaze, and it made her feel sick. It was almost as though she felt responsible; as if choosing him as more of a father sealed his fate.
She teared up again, but tried to keep a happy face all the while. "Are you doing well? Have you been reunited with Tuftfeather and my mother?"

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Just seeing how happy Creeksong was to see him made Greenflare's smile broaden. She was the daughter he never had. The black cat nuzzled the she-cat. "My, you've grown so much from when I last saw you." he whispered, feeling a small ache of sadness. He never got to see her finish growing into a warrior. He took a step back, sitting down.
"Now, Creeksong, none of this was your fault. Your father was fueled by the thought of my accident with your mother. You didn't make him mad. It was me. If anyone should be apologizing, it should be me. I'm sorry I left you. I wanted to see you grow. Not from here, but in the clan." Greenflare felt his throat tighten. He then licked her cheek once like a father would do to comfort his daughter.
"Yes. I haven't really seen Tuftfeather, but I know she's around here somewhere. As for your mother, I actually asked her to be my mate. So, in a way, I really am your father." His smile crossed his face again.

Creeksong did as Greenflare did and sat down across from him. It was childish, perhaps, but she wanted to be like him. In her eyes, she always saw the tom as brave and devoted, doing what he could to protect those he loved. It was honorable. Maybe he had a bad attitude, but the young warrior did as well. It wasn't apparent at this moment in time, due to the overwhelming amount of happiness.
Her yellow eyes widened in slight astonishment at what he said. Even now, as dead as he was, he still treated her like he did when he was alive, back when she was a kit or an apprentice. It was good to know that you kept your personality in death, but at the same time, she felt her heart twist in agony.
This hurts.
However, at the news of the events that went on in CloudClan, she allowed a full smile to take over her. "I'm so happy for you two," she said, pricking her ears as she always did when she was feeling light-hearted. She knew that was what both of them had wanted for a while, but she didn't know things like that could happen after death. It was kind of cool.
"Greenflare, I don't care if you're watching me grow from up here instead of down with me," the young warrior meowed, dipping her head slightly. She let a small grin show itself. "That's because I know that, even though I may be alone in a physical way, I still have you and Tuftfeather and Littlepool watching me from above, and that's comforting, I guess."
Am I lying? Why can't I tell for myself? Am I just too angry..?

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Greenflare nodded. "Thank you." He remembered the day he asked Littlepool to be his mate. It was the day after his death. He was talking with her, and he was almost surprised that she accepted. He never thought she felt the same about him. She had gone to see Skywing, and apparently, she crushed him, which made Greenflare even more happy. Skywing knew that he would never have a chance again.
"I suppose so. But, I just wanted to make the physical connections. I want you to hear my voice when I call your name during ceremonies. Just know, whenever you are picked in a ceremony, I will be cheering as loud as I can. Perhaps if you're lucky, you'll be able to hear me." The tom let his tail rest on her shoulder, nudging her with his head.

A chuckle escaped from her throat in a rather happy manner, the grin on her face complying with that action. She shrugged ever-so slightly. While she still felt a little sad that he was gone from her physical life, it was reassuring to know he was doing okay above the clouds. In a way, he was still there with her.
"Thank you, Greenflare. I want to be strong like you, and to fix the mistakes that were made," Creeksong meowed, a look of determination leaking onto the happy face that had been present a moment before.
Taking a step forward, she pressed her head and muzzle against his shoulder, closing her eyes tightly. It felt real, but she knew that his physical body was long gone, and that this is all that would be left of him when she woke up. His memory. His soul. The clan remembered the Greenflare as the one killed by Skywing. And he was still alive.
"Before I have to wake up, Greenflare," she began, taking a step back and looking at him with a small, apologetic smile. "I have one question, and I need you to answer me."

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Greenflare smiled. "You already are. You may not feel strong, but I know you are. And, you will fix the mistakes. Fix every mistake that you can fix. Make your life worth living." The black tom saw her walk to him, and when she was there, he rested his head on her head, closing his green eyes for a moment. It was nice to feel an actual body again. To feel warmth.
He lifted his head as she moved back. Greenflare tilted his head when she said that she had a question. "What is it?" he asked, tilting his head.

Creeksong sucked in a deep breath, feeling herself smile at the praise she received. That was one thing that she never received anymore: praise. It's not like it was necessary for survival, or anything else really, but it was something she would appreciate getting every now and then.
"Thank you," she replied, flicking her ears back.
Adjusting how she was sitting, the young warrior felt the anger she had in her gut begin to expose itself. She needed to know. She had to ask. "Do you know where Skywing currently is?" she asked, flicking her tail anxiously.

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Greenflare waited for her to ask her question, almost a bit scared of what she had to say. He pricked his ears as she began to speak. I knew something like this would come up. "I do not know what you are planning to do. But, last time I saw him, he was in rogue territory. Probably around there or the loner area. Whatever you are doing, be careful. I don't want you to die. You are too young to do that."

The concern in his voice nearly made her choke up. It had been too long since she heard something like that, and it would probably be the last time for a very, very long time. But she was fine with that.
"Thank you. I promise, I will not die," Creekpaw meowed, offering an apologetic smile in response. "But I can't let someone who has done something horrible live unpunished."
How far she was actually willing to go, she did not know, but she needed to do something. This was unforgivable. Maybe she was more like her father than she had hoped, or even thought, possible. But that could be settled when she had said her goodbyes.
She stopped suddenly, feeling something hit her. It wasn't painful, but shocking. "Greenflare... I think... I think I'm waking up already..."

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Greenflare nodded. "Be careful. He will probably try to apologize for everything, but knowing you, you won't buy it. Just don't murder him. That is a one-way ticket to the dark forest."
When she spoke again, a pang of sadness hit Greenflare in the chest. In CloudClan, it always looked the same: starry, kind of dark, but light at the same time. They couldn't see the sun and moon like they used to. They couldn't tell the time of day on earth unless they looked down. Apparently dawn was approaching.
He walked forward, giving her a quick lick on her forehead. "Goodbye, Creeksong. Make your mother and I proud." he whispered, taking a step back to let her go back to TreeClan.
