Willowpaw was nervous as she entered the apprentice's den. She was no longer a kit, she was an apprentice now. I'm probably not welcome, she thought nervously as she looked for a comfortable place to rest in. Hopefully her mentor would teach her how to make her own nest soon. Shaking from excitement and nervousness, she rested on the cold, hard ground, attempting to hide and be invisible. She didn't want attention. Anything but that. She gathered leaves to hide herself, and then crouched down, but the wind blew away the scrawny, dried up, leaves. She meowed in frustration and slunk to the back of the den.

Wingpaw frowned as he watched the small she-cat wander around the den, confused by her strange behaviour. "That doesn't look very comfortable," he informed her truthfully, flicking his tail in amusement. "Why are you on the ground? There's plenty of space to make a nest." That was typically the first thing new apprentices did when they moved in, but this she-cat didn't seem interested at all, and she was definitely new. Willowkit turned around, her face hot. "I-I-" she stammered, trying to scoot away from the bigger cat. "Um... Yes." She buried her face into the ground. She didn't know how to make a nest, so she felt nervous.

The blue-grey tom shook his head, incredulous and amused by the strange behavior. Either way, it seemed she wouldn't be helping herself any time soon. He stood and stepped out of his nest. "Well, how about I help you make one?" He offered with a small sigh, trying to stay patient. He wasn't great with cats. "Come on, lift your head up. Do you have a name?" | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

"I'm Willowkit," she replied. "And thank you. I never thought I would be so nervous as an apprentice." She wanted to sink into the ground, yet she wanted to make new friends. She looked up at the bigger cat. "What's you're name?"

"Don't worry, you get used to it," he assured the she-cat quietly, looking around for an empty space. "Where do you want your nest? There's some space next to me, or we can put you over by the wall where you'd have some more room?" He didn't really mind sharing space, though he usually preferred his own. It was why dens weren't really for him. Head up, the grey tom smiled. "My name is Wingpaw." | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

"Hi, Wingpaw," Willowpaw said. "I just want to be next to my friends, Stormpaw, Nightpaw, Cinderpaw, and Sablepaw." I saw other queens make their nests in the nursery, and I tried reversing the technique and making a nest, but all I made was a fuzzball of moss." She wrinkled her nose, remembering the time when she ate her own nest. "Plus it tasted disgusting in my mouth."

Wingpaw sighed at her words, but moved to help anyway. He'd wanted to be Willowpaw's friend as well, but it didn't sound like it would be happening now. She clearly had plenty of friends of her own without Wingpaw trying to invade her space. "Alright, you'll want to be over here then, this is where they all sleep," Wingpaw indicated, padding away from his own nest to point at an empty spot. "Don't worry, making nests gets much easier once you practice, and I'll help you." | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

(Soz about the inactivity.) "Thanks," she said. "Can you be one of my first friends that I made from the apprentice's den?" She randomly pawed a dried leaf on the ground. "I hope I'll soon be active again. I guess I'm just shy on my first day on my new rank."

"You want to be my....friend?" Wingpaw was stunned for a moment before quickly covering it. "I'd love to," the fluffy tom purred, stepping back from the nest. "How about we try to find some feathers to line your nest? It'll be nice and soft that way."

Willowpaw thought for a moment. "That sounds great! And my nest will be cooler looking than all the other apprentices!"

Wingpaw laughed. "Yes, that too." He turned and padded towards the exit, beckoning Willowpaw with his tail. "And we'll also get a meal too." Sharing a bird with Willowpaw sounded like a nice idea. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

Willowpaw looked happy as she headed toward the camp. (Closed?)
